This role oversees delivery of the Trusts and Foundations strategy, including researching and identifying suitable prospects, writing funding applications, and account managing existing Trusts and Foundation supporters. Working with and reporting into the Head of Corporate, Trusts and Events, the post holder will be responsible for working across the organisation to ensure that the most accurate and relevant data is being presented in applications to ensure positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in Trusts & Foundations fundraising at a charity, cultural institution or similar organisation, with a proven track record of securing 5 and 6-figure valued grants in support of an organisation’s key priorities and strategic objectives. At Northampton Students’ Union, our Sports Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enriching the student experience through sport. By overseeing over 35 free-to-join sports clubs, they ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all students, regardless of background or ability. Their responsibilities include managing sports programming, coordinating events like Varsity and Sports Awards, and fostering relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. By supporting student-led initiatives and promoting participation, the Sports Development Coordinator helps create a vibrant, active campus community.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Book internal and external facilities for training and fixtures.  Ensure that the clubs use suitable facilities of an appropriate standard, while following SU procedures and maintaining good relationships with the facility provider.
2. Operational responsibility for all SU affiliated sports activity, including approving risk assessment and dealing with all accident reports for sports clubs.
3. To ensure that appropriate process is followed when disciplinary issues occur with Sports Clubs.
4. To lead on Sports Awards and Varsity, to ensure a safe and relevant event is delivered.
5. To feed into the budget-setting process, and be responsible for spending the Sports budget, following financial processes accordingly.
6. To support all sports club volunteers in the development and delivery of their activities and events.
7. Responsible for the growth and development of new sports and developing processes that enable students to either set up new activities or expand current activities.
8. To be the organisation’s main point of contact for British Universities and Colleges Sport.
9. To deliver all administrative processes for BUCS-related activity on behalf of the organisation.
10. Maintain effective lines of communication between clubs and the Students' Union at all times.
11. Operational responsibility for administrating and safety of all onsite sports storage, ensuring spaces are safe for student use.
12. Pro-actively look to find ways to increase student participation in sport by ensuring appropriate communication via our Brand & Communications team and promoting and supporting the setting up of new clubs. 
13. Identify, and with support of line-manager, apply for external funding opportunities that will increase our support for sport in partnership with Clubs and elected officers.
14. To establish and maintain contacts to set up community partnership agreements which could increase our sporting offer or volunteering opportunities.
15. To review operational processes in a timely manner, in line with any governance or policy change within the organisation.
16. Write and develop a training programme for all student sports leaders, focusing on empowering them to complete their roles independently via clearly communicated and transparent processes and enhancement of their soft skills to complete the role.
17. Develop systems that empowers students to take ownership of setting up new activities or expand current activities.
18. Alongside an elected officer, represent Northampton Students’ Union at all BUCS regional meetings, ensuring that we are updated on University Sport development.
19. To support clubs with the recruitment of all paid and volunteer coaches, and ensuring they adhere to the Coaches Code of Conduct and other supporting documents.
20. Pro-actively encourage student sports leaders to record and reflect on their skill development.
21. Manage and provide mentorship for the Sports Administrator and any other student staff roles working within Sport at the Union.

The Nuffield Foundation is looking for an AV and Information Systems Coordinator to take a lead role in managing our AV meeting and events environment and providing vital first-line systems support.

In this role you’ll work closely with the colleagues across the Foundation to ensure the seamless delivery of hybrid, online, and in-person events. You will also support the wider Information Systems team (and work with an outsourced IT provider) to manage and improve key systems like Office 365 and SAP Concur, while assisting with user support and project coordination.

About this Role

The Marketing and Communications Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing and promoting IAPO's mission and initiatives through effective marketing and communication strategies. To provide a high quality and victim/survivor-focused advocacy service to CYP who have been subjected to sexual violence, abuse, sexual exploitation and/or coercion, in order to:

• Provide emotional and practical support, at every stage of the victim/survivor journey
• Pro-actively and assertively advocate for those who have reported to the Police, are thinking of doing so, or choose not to report (safeguarding guidelines will be followed at all times).
• Ensure that the voices, needs, rights and legal entitlements of children and young people are heard, understood and acted upon by all individuals and organisations.
• Following safeguarding assessments and reduce risk to keep children and young people (and others) safe
• Ensure that victims/survivors can access the health and other support services that they need.
• Support the work of the CYP ISVA Team, and the wider ISVA Team (Adult, LGBT, Sex Worker and Race and Equality ISVAs) which may include working within Umbrella sexual health settings and other appropriate services as required.

Role Summary

We are looking for a passionate and effective Autistic Lived Experience Trainer to support us to deliver an exciting new programme of work. We have been commissioned by an NHS organisation to deliver and support the roll out of autism-informed care training to all staff working in their mental health inpatient settings. This programme of work will run for 9 months, and will include the delivery of various half day and full day autism-informed training sessions both in-person and online. We will also be working closely with Experts by Experience to become skilled and confident in delivery of this training to support the organisational sustainability of this knowledge. The programme of work will also embed an evaluation of the training to demonstrate learning and impact.

The Autistic Lived Experience Trainer will be working closely alongside our Lived Experience Lead to deliver all aspects of the programme, with support from our wider staff team.

Role Description

• Co-facilitate training sessions both online and in-person to staff from various professions and in various roles across mental health in-patient settings.
• Deliver pre-prepared content and facilitate reflective conversations.
• Monitor feedback and adjust content and delivery as necessary.
• Collect and analyse feedback data, both qualitative and quantitative.
• Support Experts by Experience to become confident with delivery of content.
• Ensure training content remains relevant and includes the latest research, alongside lived experience insight.
• Use own lived experience insight to supplement content and support reflection and catalyse change.
• Liaise with NHS colleagues to support training session logistics
• To represent Neurodiverse Connection nationally, regionally and locally as appropriate and to promote the work that we do.

• Manage the Association’s fixed asset register and component accounting process in accordance with the SORP and ensure ledger reconciliations are carried out and cleared promptly
• Prepare and process ledger journals for month-end, including capitalisation of administrative costs and interest
• Lead the review of accounting policies related to non-current assets, recommending updates where necessary
• Ensure that the firm delivers Value for Money in all aspects of Capital including being involved in project based activities

• Qualified/QBE Accountant with Capital experience within Social Housing

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver assigned projects on time and within budget
• Define project scope, objectives, required resources, and success measures
• Introduce and manage ideas for improvement, using proven methods and techniques
• Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, leading communication and engagement activities and plans
• Work in partnership with staff, volunteers, and people living with and affected by MND to co-produce solutions and ensure engagement and understanding of the project.
• Oversee project progress, risks, and issues, escalating where needed
• Manage project budgets and monitor spending against agreed plans
• Manage contracts with third parties and suppliers including any tender processes

Role Purpose 

The primary role of the Research & Insights Officer is to support the Research & Insights Manager in conducting research and producing insights which supports the development of CAN’s conversations with advertisers around the issues embedded in its Guiding Principles and Guides.

Core Duties and Responsibilities  

• Assist the Research & Insights Manager in the design and managing of research and insights which support CAN’s mission.

• To support the Research & Insights Manager in creating producing insights and communications materials for the advertising industry and trade and national press i.e Member briefings, press releases and social media comms. 

• Awareness of, and regular reporting on, relevant research bodies and initiatives/ projects they are undertaking which help unearth new potential research areas where advertising is impacting human rights   

• Working with members and external partners to collaborate on research projects or to gain insights on the advertising ecosystem 

• Assist with project management to support the research and insights team, as well as the wider CAN team 

• Working with other teams internally to collaborate on projects where required, in particular supporting the communications to members. 

Measurement of Success 

• Successfully working alongside the Research & Insights Manager in the delivery of robust and interesting research projects and related communications materials, to ensure advertising works for everyone 

• Discovery of new issues and talking points to uncover emerging issues related to advertising harms 

Skills and experience (required) 

• Experience in the field of research or journalism

• The ability to produce clear, well-sourced and accurate briefings and summaries, or news articles 

• Ability to work both in a team and independently 

• Fast-learning self-starter comfortable to work in a fast-paced and wide-ranging work environment   

• An understanding of investigative journalism and research 

• Fluent written and spoken English 

Skills and experience (desired) 

• A proven track record of research achieving impact, either through journalism or the production of content which has measurably improved awareness on a given issue 

• An understanding of the ad tech ecosystem and related harms

Other information 

• The role will entail hybrid working, predominantly working from home with some days working in a London based office

• Competitive salary & statutory pension contribution (£28k depending on experience) 

• 12 months Fixed Term Contract with a view being extended
