About the role

The Exchange is seeking an experienced, talented and driven Venue Hire Manager to maximise venue hire income for The Exchange with responsibility for all aspects of hire events.

Situated in the Thames-side town of Erith, The Exchange is dedicated to creating opportunities for people to come together and celebrate life, craft, and community. Our aspiration is to develop a craft focused venue hire programme, where every detail has been carefully thought through, leading to unique and inspirational experiences – this will be the role of the new Venue Hire Manager.

Principle Duties:

• Venue Hire Management: Lead for all hire enquiries and bookings from initial conversations through to event delivery and after-care.
• Sales and Business Development: Proactively drive venue hire sales, convert enquiries, and reach budgeted targets, working to develop opportunities with current, returning, and prospective clients. To be conversant with the wider sector, benchmarking against competitor spaces, engaged with external networks and leading on venue hire promotion and marketing opportunities.
• Administration: lead and maintain all enquiries and bookings, communication with internal colleagues to optimise event delivery before, during and after, and develop and maintain accurate monitoring and evaluation reporting.
• Customer Service: provide exceptional service to all event hirers and suppliers with a professional, efficient, and welcoming attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively research and reach-out to new business hire opportunities, exploring new creative opportunities to optimise use of the building and garden, regularly benchmarking The Exchange pricing and proposition.
• Promoting the location through a variety of marketing channels such as social media.
• Responsibility for all venue hires from enquiry to bookings to on-the-day and after care. This includes supervision and scheduling of duty managers, tending to any incidents or queries, liaising with catering services and supervising their requirements and logistics, building security.
• Negotiate and agree venue hire events including final contracts, invoicing, and scheduling.
• Ensure excellent communication with all colleagues to ensure smooth event procedures and positive client outcomes, including cleaning and organising the venue and facilities pre and post event.
• Develop and maintain systems for monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of hire events in context of budget targets and for improving customer service and repeat business.
• Establish best practice procedures and protocol for wide range of clients e.g. private, corporate, charity.
• Develop excellent supplier relationships e.g. event planners, caterers, local companies – to build and promote opportunities to hire spaces and develop a beneficial ‘approved suppliers’ list.
• Operating within rigorous H&S and security frameworks, including taking responsibility for opening and locking up, final building checks.

Job Summary

The Haringey Community Alliance Manager is responsible for leading the development of the VCS Capacity Building strategy and the effective co-ordination of the Community Alliance team which includes a Communications and Engagement Officer, a Workplace Development Manager, and a Capacity Building Manager.

We envisage the Haringey Community Alliance Manager performing at either a primarily operational level or, for a more experienced candidate, at both operational and strategic levels. The salary range reflects this, with the upper end of the salary range reserved for candidates who can demonstrate an ability to deliver at both the operational and strategic levels.

Operationally, the postholder will have specific management responsibility for co-developing priorities for local VCS funding and capacity building, as well as the Volunteer Centre and wider VCS community of practice. The post holder has lead responsibility for developing the Annual Work Programme, performance management and reporting against the targets and milestones in the Contract.

Strategically, the role would include a wider contribution to the strategic management and development of Public Voice, supporting the CEO as required. This would include leading the shaping and delivery of a Capacity Building strategy; representing the VCS Alliance at stakeholder meetings and influencing key stakeholders to better support Haringey’s VCS; as well as growing the reach and impact of the Capacity Building service by engaging new funders and partners.

Bladder Health UK (BHUK) is a small national charity that has developed significantly over the last 10 years. We are now looking for a part-time charity manager who can continue this journey. The role gives a rare opportunity to someone who is enthusiastic to make a difference in this unique space and have a significant impact on both sufferers and healthcare professionals. As charity manager you will need a varied skillset including being able to build and nurture relationships, manage a small team of staff, develop new income streams, create, and develop imaginative projects and use innovative technology to boost the aims and objectives of the charity.

What you would do

Account management of existing and new relationships in the charity sector. • Research and write grant applications. • Support in making decisions and advise on the charity spend. • Work with the BHUK team to tell the story of ‘Bladder Health UK’ via its communication channels. • Support hosting and organising charity events. • Manage the general cashflow for the charity including reporting from a finance perspective. • Work on a multitude of projects throughout the year. • Outreach to relevant charities that the charity wants to work with and build long lasting, meaningful relationships with them. •. • Maintain all contracts, mailing lists, ensuring IT systems are kept up to date, and are compliant. • Manage ongoing governance of the charity, including developing and maintaining policy documents such as our grant making policy, conflict of interest processes, procedures and register, risk management policy and register. • Maintain charity commission register records. You will also be expected to be able to provide and present regular reports to the Trustees on the finance and operational activity of the charity.

To succeed in this post, it is essential that you have:

• Have been involved in charity campaign work previously.
• Have experience in charity operations and governance. 
• Have sales /marketing/fundraising experience.
• Be able to multi-task in a busy environment.
• Can demonstrate effective communication skills with ability to liaise with different audiences and be effective at developing long-lasting relationships.
• Evidence that you are highly organised and great with time management.
• Have experience developing social media, websites, and webinars to promote, inform and educate.

• Have either a clinical background or experience in urology issues.

The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the implementation of the Unloc London Strategy

• Working in partnership with the Operations Manager to ensure the delivery of the Unloc London strategy. This includes;

  • Building new relationships with local schools and colleges. 

  • Facilitating a free to access enterprise event for local schools in the borough of Westminster. 

  • Delivery of workshops and presentations, attendance at events to to promote Unloc’s programmes and initiatives to schools, colleges and community groups.

Working in partnership and building new stakeholder relationships

• Liaise and act as a primary point of contact for current key stakeholders to promote Unloc’s work. This will include Local Authorities, Education Trusts, Businesses and Community Interest Groups. 

• Implement engagement strategies to build new relationships with key stakeholders through needs assessments and stakeholder surveys to gather insights into the preferences, challenges and priorities.

• Represent Unloc in external meetings, conferences and networking opportunities. 

Organise, plan and facilitate entrepreneurial skills and career pathway projects and programmes

• Organise, plan and facilitate bespoke enterprise and career pathways events (with support from the Operations Manager) for individual businesses, grant giving bodies, schools & colleges. This generally involves designing agendas, booking speakers, managing event resources, leading individual sessions, briefing event support staff, liaising with key points of contact and managing attendance from multiple schools, colleges and partners.

Managing staff

• To line-manage multiple other members of staff in line with Unloc’s People Management Approach. This includes:

  • Providing wrap around support to individual team members when they require it.

  • Promoting a culture of excellence in programme management and facilitation.

  • Ensuring that facilitators you manage operate in line with Unloc’s policies, procedures and practices whilst instilling Unloc’s core team values.

The senior member of staff is responsible for ensuring the decisions of the Board are acted upon and the charity meets the legal and regulatory requirements of a CIO. The key focus will be on development of new income streams as we navigate challegnes across the site. The General Manager will oversee the implementation of the new Buisness Development Plan. Support the team of volunteers in project managment and fundraising to support the ambitions of the Board. HR management and financial control will be an important part of the role.

About the Role

There are 1.4 million primary-aged children growing up in poverty in the UK, and we are currently only working with a fraction of them. We have grown rapidly over the last few years and are now looking to recruit a Fundraising Manager who can help take our fundraising work to the next level.

The Fundraising Manager will work with the team to drive Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy. Their primary focus will be on strengthening our existing corporate partnerships pipeline, and managing new and existing corporate relationships. They will continue to develop and adapt the Learning with Parents proposition for corporate partnerships ensuring partnerships deliver mutual benefits and maximise impact on our shared mission. 

The Fundraising Manager will also support our work with High Net Worth Individuals and Trust and Foundations. Their responsibilities will also include line management of our Fundraising and Operations Officer to achieve their aims and objectives.

The Fundraising Manager will represent Learning with Parents at external fundraising and networking events to raise our profile, build relationships and promote parental engagement in the charitable and education sectors.

Areas of Responsibility

Building a pipeline of corporate partners

• Working closely with Learning with Parents’ CEO and COO, research, qualify and prioritise prospects to create a buoyant pipeline.

• Maintain and update the prospect pipeline. 

• Engage with and cultivate potential corporate partners to develop meaningful collaborations with shared goals.

Stewarding new and existing funders

• Writing and submitting applications to corporate foundations and other trusts and foundations.

• Manage and steward Learning with Parents’ corporate partners, trust and foundations and other donors.

• Fulfil any donor due diligence requirements. 

• Draft compelling update reports and other written materials as required.

Feeding into the fundraising strategy 

• Input into Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy.

• Feed into discussions around what the Fundraising team should look like as the organisation grows.

Responding to new opportunities

• Engage with new fundraising opportunities such as Awards and connections with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs). 

• Develop and adapt Learning with Parents’ proposition for corporate partners, ensuring partnerships deliver mutual benefits and maximise impact of our shared mission. 

• Represent Learning with Parents at external fundraising and networking to raise our profile.

About You 

Experience within a similar role, or within the charity sector, would be great. However, we know that a lot of the most important skills in this role are transferable from jobs in other sectors, such as relationship development, account management and business development. We want the right person and we will invest in training the right candidate as necessary.

As the Bid Manager in the Bid Management Team, you will support the development of winning proposals to deliver strong growth in our restricted funding pipeline.
In this role, you will work with key stakeholders, including staff in Country Programmes, Finance Teams, Regional Funding Managers and external partners to develop high-quality bids for opportunities with institutional and non-institutional donors that act like institutions. This includes bilateral and multilateral donors (e.g. FCDO, GAC, USAID, EU, World Bank), as well as some work with trusts and foundations.

• Support the project design process
• Work with country finance teams to build and review project budgets that reflect the technical design
• Negotiate WaterAid's scope of work and budget with external partners
• Facilitate After Action Reviews to ensure lessons are captured
• Design and deliver training to strengthen capacity of colleagues in Country Programmes and regional teams in proposal development

About You:

• Experience developing winning proposals to a range of institutional and non-institutional funders, ideally for development projects in low-income countries
• Good understanding of proposal management best practices

We are looking for an experienced Business Development and Advisory Manager to join our committed team, who will hit the ground running.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• You will manage and grow Stronger Together’s business relations in a variety of sectors, both in the UK and globally to generate funding and drive impact. This includes taking the lead in developing project proposals for clients.

• You will deliver interactive training workshops and deliver premium quality services to businesses to support them to embed responsible recruitment and fair work and tackle modern slavery in their operations and supply chains.

• You will project manage all client projects from start to finish.

The role is diverse with opportunities to generate new funding to drive impact, project manage and implement training and activity with a variety of businesses, and to try out new ideas. You will work remotely, but in close cooperation with the Head of Business Development, and rest of our growing team across the world. 

Who you are:

• An experienced professional with an in-depth understanding of and subject matter expertise on working with businesses on responsible recruitment, ethical labour practices and modern slavery, and significant experience in business engagement/developing and managing senior management corporate sponsor relations (min. 5 years’ experience).

• The ideal candidate should have experience in a business development role, a track record in building and developing business relations, and strong experience of giving presentations, delivering pitches and closing deals.

• Experienced in maintaining and developing corporate sponsor relations including writing client and grant proposals.

• An excellent trainer, with experience of delivering training to businesses.

• A strong project manager and great organiser, with the ability to set and meet demanding targets and deadlines, and to hold others accountable to those.

• A professional who has worked with or within the construction, manufacturing, consumer goods, apparel, finance or care sector on responsible business behaviour.

• An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with experience of developing and building new successful working relationships with a range of stakeholders, as well as confidence in representing the organisation professionally at a variety of events.

• A motivated and enthusiastic worker, able to work independently and with remote colleagues/stakeholders.

• Someone with a good eye for detail, whilst retaining sight of the bigger picture.

The role

This role will identify, develop and manage top food partners relationships and strengthen existing business relationships with companies in the food industry, generating value for the partner and to secure growing and sustainable volumes of surplus food for the FareShare Network.

For designated top food partners, you will be their day to day point of contact with regular face to face contact at all levels. You will undertake structured, strategic account management, leading and coordinating FareShare’s engagement across our organisation. This will mean agreeing and executing a bespoke joint business plan with each account to get more food, money and strategic support. You will also feedback on ways that we can better support our accounts and improve our services to them.

You will work directly and be on-site with top food partners to help identify and overcome the barriers which exist to giving surplus food to people in need as well as increasing money and strategic resource.

You will also be required to work closely with FareShare colleagues within FareShare and across the UK in our partner organisations in order to identify and understand opportunities for creating mutual and shared value.

Main areas of responsibility

Partnership Management

• Contribute to the development of consistent, structured Joint Business plans with designated accounts that take into account food, funding and other strategic initiatives to drive growth in food, money and other strategic resources.
• Work on behalf of the account to develop and embed services relevant to the account and
• agreed through the joint business plan – e.g. employability or store level redistribution.
• Execute joint business plans and report internally and externally on progress.
• Research and understand your accounts, including key ESG initiatives, waste streams, key personnel within the organisation that will help drive its success and engage the relevant internal departments through both desked based research and face to face contact.
• Proactively drive account forwards and progress these relationships with regular on-site visits and linking FareShare exec with key contacts.
• Keep up to date with industry and charity insights and ensure this is reflected back strategically across ways of working and account management

Project and Initiative Management

• Be responsible for managing and communicating key projects and initiatives to increase food volumes and strategic value, securing support from a range of stakeholders within food partners and across the FareShare network.
• Work closely with Supply Chain and Logistics, Operations and Network Development teams with the aim of optimising food out to our network
• Develop and lead FareShare cross-departmental strategic activity to enable us to derive maximum value from key food partners including liaising with fundraising, marketing and volunteering teams

Who we are

The problem - On average, 160 young people are excluded from school each week. Once excluded, prospects for these young people are bleak, with only 4% achieving good GCSE grades, and 67% entering sustained education, employment or training compared to 96% of their non-excluded peers. This can be a pipeline to prison, with concerning statistics showing 63% of prisoners having been excluded from school.

Our mission - To ensure that young people who have been excluded from school are not excluded from society.

Who we serve - We support the hardest to reach young people in the most disadvantaged communities, each of whom are most at risk of experiencing school exclusion or are at risk of being excluded. Young people who are eligible for free school meals are 4x more likely to get excluded, along with black Caribbean boys. Young people with special educational needs are also six times as likely to be excluded as their peers.

Our work - We work in a number of different settings both during term time and after school. Our coaches lead small groups of 8-10 young people, using sport as a hook and mentorship as an anchor to develop their soft skills, as well as improve their physical & mental wellbeing. This, coupled with exposure to the work place through Career Taster Days, raises their aspirations and puts young people in a better position to enter sustained education, employment or training (EET) when they leave school.

Role Overview

We are looking for someone to carry out maternity cover for our Programme Manager (Midlands & North). The Programme Manager role purpose is to lead on all aspects of service delivery within the Midlands & North area, which currently covers the following hubs: Birmingham, Solihull, Leicester, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Liverpool, Warrington & Oldham. This is a 10 month fixed term role with the opportunity to extend employment at the end of the contract.

This includes accountability for the delivery of our in person services, digital delivery (Player Profiles), impact, employability, regional fundraising, regional partnerships, business development and people across all regions in the Midlands & North. You will directly line manage at least 3 people but be responsible for a wider team of circa 15 people.  

This is a varied and hands on role that will be full of purpose. You’ll be joining a supportive and driven team that works hard to help young people change their lives. As a manager you will play a key part in the leadership of the organisation and driving the implementation of strategic plans on the ground.

It is important to us that this role remains embedded within the delivery of our interventions, therefore the post holder will be required to spend up to 25% delivering our programmes or working alongside staff for quality assurance.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the production cycle from enquiry to delivery and invoicing, in a well-organised and seamless process, and for finding solutions quickly, should issues arise.

You will manage and grow customer accounts for Bible production while providing exceptional service to all stakeholders around the world, which may involve international travel.

Main responsibilities include:

· Manage turnover and associated margins on Bibles and New Testaments for the organisation and other agencies around the world. This has traditionally been in the region of £2 million and has the potential to grow

· Manage all aspects of the production cycle from enquiry, to creating product specification, supplying price and managing production, through to delivery and supplying invoice

· Ensure that all relevant processes are carried out, in particular checking and assessing credit­ worthiness of clients

· Calculate and report on appropriate royalties for designated customer accounts

· Ensure that all materials sent to suppliers meet appropriate technical standards

· Support the stock needs using supply chain methodology

· Ensure that print materials supplied are correctly licensed for the specified purpose, and that IP and copyright agreements are adhered to and protected

· Ensure all products are consistent with and conform to requirements and the Royal Charter

About You

You will be organised, accurate and high-performing, good at detail, with an ability to connect well with clients and inspire them with confidence in you. You'll be committed to growing the circulation and use of the Bible through maintaining the highest production and delivery standards. Self-motivated and a team player, you'll be enthusiastic about this significant role. 

You will have experience of managing customer accounts and, by excellence in this area, increasing turnover with high customer satisfaction
