Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. For this role, we need someone to come into the office at least one day a week, on a Tuesday. A day where all of Income Generation come into the office. You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time. 

Contractually this role is London-based.

Contract: Fixed term contract to cover up to a years maternity leave, with a potential start date of early April 2026. 

Full time role - 35 hours per week.

As our Individual Giving and Legacies Manager (Maternity Cover), you will play a central role in shaping Hospice UK’s supporter engagement and income generation. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and grow legacy giving, payroll giving, and in-memory giving, ensuring every supporter’s journey is meaningful, engaging, and impactful.

You will be at the heart of some of Hospice UK’s most important fundraising activity, supporting the National Legacy Campaign and working closely with colleagues across the organisation and external partners to deliver high-impact campaigns for local hospices. Through thoughtful leadership, engaging communications, and effective appeals, you will help maximise income generation while directly supporting our mission to ensure everyone can access compassionate end-of-life care.

You will join a friendly, collaborative team of six within the wider Income Generation and Grants Directorate of 23. The Events and Supporter Engagement Team includes the Head of Events and Supporter Engagement, Events Fundraising Manager, Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive, another Individual Giving and Legacies Manager, and two Supporter Engagement Officers. Together, we raise funds from individuals through events, digital campaigns, memorial and legacy giving, regular and payroll giving, and one-off donations. We also deliver a wide range of supporter engagement activities and oversee supporter communications and journeys.

To succeed as our Individual Giving and Legacies Manager, you will bring:

• Proven experience in legacy giving and individual giving environments
• Experience managing budgets and financial performance for fundraising activities
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent IT skills, including CRM database use for segmentation and reporting
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to write engaging, compelling copy for a range of audiences
• A strong understanding of fundraising compliance and relevant legislation

Line management experience, knowledge of payroll giving and in-memory giving, and experience working with external agencies are desirable.

The role:

We’re looking for a self-motivated, driven Individual Giving Legacy Fundraiser to lead and grow income from the Individual Giving portfolio by driving acquisition of new individual and mid-level donors, elevating end to end donor interactions and deepening relationships with existing supporters. You will be proactive in using data insights to inform campaign targeting, mid donor level strategy as well as monitoring agreed kpis.

A key focus is to grow Regular Giving through the development of compelling supporter packages and upgrade pathways, while also advancing legacy giving through targeted messaging and initiatives that build a sustainable pipeline of pledges and gifts for the future.

What You Will Do

Strategic Planning

• Develop and implement a growth strategy for Regular Giving, including acquisition, retention, upgrade pathways, and mid-level donor development.
• Lead on the development and effective delivery of legacy messaging across channels, ensuring consistent and inspiring communication that builds awareness and drives pledges.
• Support strategic planning for Trusts & Grants, In Memory Giving, and Legacy awareness, ensuring alignment with overall fundraising goals.

Campaign & Product Delivery

• Lead the creation and delivery of Regular Giving and mid-level donor products, campaigns, and donor journeys.
• Develop and promote legacy giving initiatives, including Make a Will Month, seasonal appeals, and messaging that builds a pipeline of legacy pledges and gifts.
• Work with external suppliers (e.g. creative agencies, mailing houses) and internal teams to deliver high-quality assets and campaigns.

Collaboration & Support  

• Work closely with Marketing, Supporter Engagement, Commercial Insights and Finance teams to ensure integrated delivery and maximise supporter value and retention.
• Support fundraising events and initiatives as needed.
• Respond to supporter enquiries via mail, email, and phone, providing excellent customer service.
• Work positively and proactively with our volunteer supporters.
• Manage relationships with external consultants for Trusts & Grants and Legacy fundraising, oversee canvassing agents and ensuring all activity aligns with the hospice’s fundraising strategy and values.

Robes is a small but mighty charity tackling homelessness across Southwark and Lambeth. Working with over 600 volunteers, churches and community partners, we deliver life-changing services to vulnerable people on the streets.

In winter, we run emergency night shelters. Year-round, our Wednesday Club offers hot meals, showers and support. We provide up to six months of floating support to help guests secure sustainable accommodation and find employment or training.

We've generated around £1.9 million from private sector funding over seven years – evidence of genuine impact and donor confidence. Now we're entering an exciting growth phase. In 2027, we celebrate our 20th anniversary, presenting an incredible opportunity to expand our reach and attract new supporters.

About You

You're an experienced Fundraiser with a track record securing grants and managing relationships with trusts, foundations and major donors. You're strategic and thorough – you understand relationship-building, can write compelling applications, and articulate impact clearly.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A proven success in corporate and charitable trust fundraising, with a strong understanding of funder and donor expectations and a track record of effectively meeting them.
• Experience managing fundraising pipelines and meeting income targets.
• Strong relationship-building and stewardship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to engage and build relationships with stakeholders and partners at the highest level.
• A keen eye for detail and ability to analyse complex data and research findings to extrapolate key messages to craft compelling cases for support or to communicate the impact of interventions.
• The ability to present complex information in the most appropriate format tailored to the specific audience.

The Role

You'll lead fundraising strategy across multiple income streams, focusing on trusts, foundations, corporate partnerships and major donors. You'll manage the full fundraising cycle from research and relationship-building through stewardship.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll execute our new fundraising strategy, support our growth plans, research funding opportunities, write strong grant applications, manage a pipeline of major donor prospects, plan our 20th anniversary campaign, and provide quarterly progress reports.

With three days a week focused on foundation and corporate partnerships work, a full-time role would typically include one day on legacy work and one day on community events.

You bring at least three years' fundraising experience, ideally in a charity setting. You're skilled at grant writing, relationship management and strategic planning. You have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. You're proactive, flexible and genuinely motivated by mission.

Ascension Eagles Cheerleaders (AEC) is a youth charity east London; we are one of the UK’s top competitive cheerleading programmes, operating out of our "Talent Central" gym in Newham. Founded in 1996, our mission is to empower young people to reach their full potential, regardless of their background, ability or economic circumstances.

We supplement our sport programmes with mentoring, educational activities and leadership training - everything we do is about helping young people to develop life skills, confidence and positive values (consistency; integrity; perseverance; persistence) to help them become the best that they can be.

At Talent Central, over 150 young people take part in our recreational and competitive activities each week. Our inclusive approach extends to our Special Education Needs (SEN) team, ensuring young people with disabilities can also participate and thrive. Each year, we also welcome hundreds of athletes who train at our gym, including England’s National Cheerleading Team.

What you will be responsible for as our Fundraising Manager:

• Developing a clear fundraising framework and working with our trustees to shape our fundraising strategy
• Researching and securing funding from trusts, foundations, corporate partners and relevant networks
• Writing strong, persuasive funding applications and engaging impact reports
• Building and stewarding long-term relationships with funders, potential partners, businesses and networks, and exploring opportunities for collaboration
• Exploring new income streams to help deliver our mission, including digital fundraising and community giving
• Tracking engagement using a CRM system
• Helping to ensure our organisational policies are appropriate for funders' compliance
• Reporting on progress to the Director and trustees, ensuring transparency and good governance.

This role combines strategic development (30%) and hands-on delivery (70%) - ideal for a proactive fundraiser who enjoys both planning and doing.

About you:

Experience in developing fundraising reports, managing income and expenditure budgets. Strong communication and a collaborative spirit are key, as is a creative mind for developing fundraising strategies. Flexibility for occasional travel and out of hours work is required. 

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience 

• Proven experience working in challenge event fundraising

• Demonstrable experience in researching, planning, delivering and evaluating a range of challenge event fundraising activities. 

• The ability to develop and deliver marketing plans to recruit third party challenge event participants through a variety of channels. 

• The ability to develop and execute an inspiring stewardship journey to maximise income generation.

• Experience of budget management including income and expenditure. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders (donors, sponsors, participants, volunteers, team members)

• Ability to lead on and manage a variety of projects with simultaneous priorities 

• A full driving licence is required

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Action for Stammering Children for a Deputy CEO who is interested in combining their fundraising expertise with a dynamic leadership role. This is an excellent role for someone with a fundraising background to assist the CEO in growing and diversifying the charity’s income streams and gaining experience in managing day-to-day operations.

The Deputy CEO will lead on implementation of the fundraising strategy and support the CEO in managing operational matters. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have experience in donor acquisition and Trust and Foundation fundraising.

JOB PURPOSE
The Director of Fundraising and Development (Maternity Cover) will provide strategic leadership and direction across all fundraising and income-generating activities, ensuring the charity continues to deliver against its financial objectives and accelerates long-term, sustainable growth across our philanthropic, public, and commercial income streams.
