Bristol Old Vic’s Fundraising and Development Department is responsible for building financial sustainability for BOV through securing external funding from individuals, corporates and trusts and foundations.
The Development Officer: Individuals & Corporates will secure income from individuals, through our giving schemes and major gifts, and corporate sponsors who support productions, engagement and community work and the newly formed literary department. You will steward existing donors to the highest standard and conduct proactive research into potential individual and corporate supporters as well as preparing presentations and proposals to secure their support. This role is vital to the current Transforming Fundraising Strategy as it will work to cultivate and steward individual support and corporate partnerships and provide accurate, targeted research to help shape our wider campaigns and approaches. As part of this role, you will also produce, briefing notes and due diligence reports for, the Director of Fundraising and Development (post to be appointed), BOV leadership team and Trustees.
The Development Officer: Trusts & Foundations will research potential Trust and Foundation supporters and work with colleagues to prepare compelling, successful grant applications. You will develop and steward a portfolio of Trusts and Foundations and establish a pipeline to ensure continued, growing support from them for our programming and engagement work. This role is vital to the current Transforming Fundraising Strategy as it will work on Trusts & Foundation fundraising and provide accurate, targeted research to help shape our campaigns and approaches.
