About you 

As our Senior Partnership Development Manager, you will be responsible to secure strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships that align with Save the Children's organisational goals and our 2030 vision. You will work cross-functionally with Programmes, Advocacy, and Marketing teams to craft innovative propositions that meet corporate interests while maximising the full value of their contributions – both financial and non-financial.

In this role, you will: 

• Contribute to our team's annual target of £4 million by securing high-value corporate partnerships. 

• Optimise financial and non-financial support from corporate partners, leveraging their resources for maximum impact. 

• Create and implement ambitious sector strategies, delivering bespoke partnership proposals that address corporate challenges and opportunities. 

• Proactively identify and engage with potential partners, expanding your network and attending external events to generate new business leads. 

• Produce high-quality, tailored proposals that resonate with business interests while advancing Save the Children's mission. 

• Support a thriving business development environment by mentoring peers and maintaining high standards within the team. 

To be successful, it is important that you have: 

• Significant experience of securing ambitious, multi-dimensional corporate partnerships in the private or third sector. 

• Demonstrable experience of the approach needed to win partnerships of £500k and above. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include face-to-face and on the phone, effective proposal writing and correspondence to internal and external audiences. 

• The ability to think creatively and to develop tailor made proposals to meet corporate and Save the Children objectives. 

• The ability to build relationships and influence others internally and externally. 

• A team player approach and supportive attitude.

Trusts and Foundations Manager

 This is a new role at the DEC and developed as a key part of the DEC’s 2024-2029 strategy. The DEC has a wide range of established relationships with trusts and foundations, many of which give 6- and 7-figure sums to DEC appeals. The Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for providing excellent stewardship to our portfolio of trusts and foundations. In addition, the role will also be responsible for cultivating new relationships for the DEC through thorough research, and through the prospect development cycle, to raise money for DEC appeals. In addition to appeal fundraising, the Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for delivering on a new core cost fundraising strategy, in close partnership with the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships.

Demonstrable, transferable trusts and foundations experience and knowledge, (preferably within the humanitarian & charity sector), will hold you in good stead for this exciting new role.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategic Development: Develop and manage the trusts and foundations portfolio and create compelling proposals for future appeals and core costs income. Showcase new ideas and innovative approaches for growing and developing a pipeline of new prospects. Develop engaging stewardship plans.  

Administrative Compliance: Lead and manage, robust and professional grant management, ensuring systems and processes are fit for purpose, streamlined and accessible. Remain compliant with grant terms and conditions, ensuring you are clearly communicating the unique contours of the DEC model whilst providing comprehensive and inspiring impact reporting.

Relationship Management: Maintain regular contact and collaboration with internal teams to collate a high-quality suite of communication materials and stewardship plans specific to a trust and foundation audience. Proactively reach out and build long-lasting relationships with funders to reach ambitious fundraising targets.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor, measure and evaluate progress against the DEC’s strategic goals and funds raised from trusts and foundations. Prepare regular reports for senior management and trustees on the development, progress and future strategic actions for trusts and foundations at the DEC.

The Development Manager will co-ordinate fundraising activity at Ushaw with a specific focus on developing funding from public funding bodies such as ACE and NLHF, cultivating strong and long-lasting partnerships with key funding stakeholders and supporting Ushaw’s financial sustainability.

• Prepare reports and supporting documents for Trustee meetings.

The role will manage the Donor Acquisition Fundraiser and In-Memory Fundraiser and be responsible for the overall delivery of our individual giving strategy.

As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.

Your primary focus will be on recruiting new donors, retention through a gold standard supporter journey and income growth for these vital areas of fundraising, all while leading a dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and creative appeals as well as supporting the fundraisers responsible for in-memory and donor acquisition to achieve their targets and objectives.

Individual Giving is a growing income stream for Birmingham Hospice, and this have been recognised by the Executive Team who are investing in this area, in particular regular giving and legacies.

COMMUNITY HUB LEADER

Oasis Hub North Bristol

Full-time (40 hours per week, 1 FTE), Permanent Contract

Oasis is looking for someone who can combine an entrepreneurial flair and excellent leadership skills to become the next Community Hub Leader supporting the established Hub at North Bristol. 

The post holder will lead the development of the Hub, based in the Lawrence Weston area of Bristol supporting the Oasis Academies and wider local community, and to hold the vision of integrated community delivery, which will include a range of services such as family support, volunteering, youth mentoring, deliver a food pantry, community events and a toddler group.

This is a key role as you will be responsible for strategic oversight of the hub charity, ensuring the youth and community work supports the work of the academies, working alongside other local Oasis leaders such as Principals to develop one joined up local vision for the Hub.

A significant part of this role will involve fundraising and business development, working with local people to develop and grow the charity and local community movement.

We are looking for an experienced community leader who enjoys project and budget management, but also has a deep understanding of community work. A degree or professional qualification is valued, but we also value extensive relevant experience and being able to demonstrate an embodiment of our ethos and values.

The Consultant role will support the Director and Mobilise team to coordinate and  deliver a range of projects supporting our clients. This new and exciting role is well suited to an individual that enjoys building new connections, working with and supporting people and organisations to learn and develop, values working to a high standard and wants to bring about change. The post holder's duties will primarily focus on providing capacity building support to third sector organisations alongside organising events, undertaking community outreach, building and maintaining relationships and networks, writing reports based on analysis and research, and engaging with clients and project stakeholders to prepare bids and deliver new work. 

Main Duties:

• Plan and manage projects to ensure activities are delivered effectively to timescale and budget

• Plan and deliver fieldwork, outreach projects and events to engage residents and organisations 

• Work as part of a team to deliver projects with associates and partner companies

• Undertake research and data collection, including resident engagement activities

• Lead and support the design and delivery of workshops, training opportunities, and resources to support NFP organisations on a range of key capacity building areas 

• Undertake organisational health checks and keep accurate and up to date records

• Help create content and materials for communications purposes and social media

• Work closely with project leads to prepare reporting and supporting documents

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required (Essential) 

• Supporting/Working with or in not for profit (NFP) organisations, in particular voluntary, community and/or social enterprises 

• Knowledge of key areas that create a strong and sustainable NFP organisation

• Knowledge or experience of working with NFP organisations of different sizes from grassroots to key anchor and national level organisations and a clear understanding of their current challenges

• Facilitating and developing or supporting events, workshops, focus groups or other similar activities

• Delivering fieldwork and outreach approaches to successfully recruit and engage a wide range of people and organisations

• Help identify an organisation’s development needs

• Excellent people skills that enable you to work sensitively and build trust to develop working relationships with a diverse range of people, organisations and clients from different sectors

Key Terms
