The Trussell Trust are seeking a Philanthropy Executive to join our high-performing Major Donor team. The Philanthropy Executive supports the work of the team with executive tasks and in managing the stewardship communications for a specific caseload tier of supporters. You will help to develop our plans for working with this tier, liaising with the Individual Giving team to manage the donor journey between mid-value and the major donor caseload. You will co-ordinate a tailored programme of stewardship communications and engagement helping to build and deepen long-term relationships and secure income.
Role responsibilities

Stewarding a tier of donors to bring them closer to our work, planning and coordinating a programme of one-to-many communications, asks and appeals as well as quarterly updates (to be used across the major donor caseload), thanking donors, and helping to build understanding of the impact of their support.

Managing the philanthropy team inbox and providing first point of contact for enquiries and colleagues, fielding them to the relevant team members.

Co-ordinating with the Individual Giving mid-value team to effectively manage supporter journeys. Liaising with the Supporter Care team to ensure that contact records are accurate and data protection compliant, and that gifts are coded and recorded correctly on our database.

Supporting the Major Donor team with executive tasks such as keeping accurate records, liaising with external suppliers, assisting with comms creation in liaison with the Marcomms teams; sourcing relevant content for donor updates; assisting with mailings and invitations to events; using Salesforce to identify and qualify prospects and performing basic desktop research; producing briefings; producing reports.

We are looking to appoint a PR and Communications Executive to work closely with the Fundraising and Engagement team and our Care teams to drive forward awareness of Rainbow Trust amongst our target audiences. This is a broad and exciting role which includes strategy and communication, influencer and celebrity management, media management and reporting.
Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for leading our press and media strategy to support the delivery of our organisational fundraising and brand awareness goals. Working collaboratively with colleagues on our communication and media strategies, you will deliver plans to support fundraising activity, and strengthen our position as experts in children’s palliative care.
You will take the lead on generating creative, engaging content and ideas for fundraising and brand awareness campaigns that drive increased targeted engagement to showcase our work and deliver our fundraising ambition You will be responsible for delivering the press office function and crisis management.

The Role

- Work closely with the Head of Relationship Fundraising and other fundraising colleagues to ensure that all fundraising activities are well-coordinated and contribute towards the overall fundraising strategy.

- Develop and execute marketing and promotional campaigns to raise awareness of legacy giving opportunities within the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to use your knowledge of policy development and regulation of the financial sector to tackle climate change and loss of nature, as a member of the Sustainable Finance Unit of the Policy Solutions team in WWF, the world’s leading independent conservation organisation.
As Sustainable Finance Policy Advisor, you will help design creative policy solutions to some of the world’s most difficult and pressing challenges. Your work will influence government, central banks, regulatory authorities and the finance sector itself to respond to climate change and nature loss, and deliver the transition to a net zero economy. You will support policy development to transform the financial sector in the UK and beyond, focusing on government policy and regulation.
This will involve analysing existing and proposed policies for effectiveness and collaborating with colleagues to make the case for action and implementation to key stakeholders on proposed policy changes. This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Media Manager to use their expertise, gained in a busy in-house PR team or PR agency, to help us drive meaningful change and bring our world back to life. As Senior Media Manager leading PR within the media team, we want you to oversee our work with consumer and long-lead media, partnerships, fundraising, and engagement of our celebrity supporters through media.
Join us and you will inspire your team to deliver first class, impactful coverage in a wide range of consumer, lifestyle, and specialist media outlets, in support of our brand, fundraising, and campaigning goals. This will involve shaping and implementing media strategy as well as delivering high quality media materials. You will also coach and develop your team and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to enhance the impact of our brand and communications. You will build internal relationships to find and gather stories to produce compelling content for target PR outlets too. Important will be the ability to collaborate with colleagues to maximise the impact of our celebrity and influencer engagement.
You must have a media background gained in a busy in-house PR team or PR agency and experience of leading teams delivering high quality media coverage and increasing brand equity and awareness. Comfortable nurturing stakeholder relationships, you will be used to delivering high profile UK PR campaigns and possess in-depth knowledge of the UK’s media landscape, and of consumer media in particular. You will also be effective at motivating and coaching teams to maximise their potential. You will possess strong communication skills and an eye for a good story too.

Role
Rowan Alba works to end homelessness in Edinburgh by providing permanent supported homes and building relationships with individuals in crisis. We also work in our communities with volunteers who provide vital support to the most vulnerable in an attempt to prevent homelessness. Our experience lends itself to exemplar training programmes aimed at helping employers understand conditions around addictions.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and confident communicator for the new role of Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager to increase awareness of our work and develop new funding streams from individual, community and corporate partnerships.
You will be a creative, organised and motivated individual with a positive track record in working independently to develop corporate and community funder relationships.
Working alongside our Communications Manager, Trusts and Grants Fundraising Manager and Leadership Team you will develop an engagement strategy to help increase awareness of our work and raise vital funds to support our organisational development including the creation of new permanent homes for individuals with long-term experience of homelessness.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing corporate partners
- Developing opportunities to deliver training to corporate staff and organising volunteering activities
- Working with staff and volunteers to develop and implement community fundraising opportunities including sponsorship activities and local events
- Organising events for key stakeholders to increase Rowan Alba profile
- Managing relevant KPIs and appropriate CRM system for all individual and corporate funder communication and outcomes
- Ensuring the organisation adheres to the codes of fundraising practice set by the Fundraising Regulator
Core competencies
- Experience in relationship building and delivering long term funding support from a variety of sources
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently, and with a small core team
- Experience of event organisation and management including working with volunteers
- Administrative skills and experience in use of appropriate CRM solutions, cloud-based platforms such as SharePoint, Zoom, Teams
- Demonstrate respect and compassion to the people we work with and represent Rowan Alba positively and professionally at all times
