The ESU was founded as a membership organisation, bringing together those who share a belief that better communication makes for better global understanding. Today, we have members across England and Wales who meet to socialise, gain new perspectives on the world and to help organise and raise funds for our educational work. There is also a strong international membership and global educational network.

We are seeking an organised, proactive and diligent Membership and Engagement Coordinator to lead on the administrative support for our members and the wider Engagement team. The post holder will be responsible for providing a seamless experience for members wanting to join the ESU or for those renewing their membership. The Membership and Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for developing relationships with members and branch chairs, finding ways to involve members in the work of the ESU and maintaining oversight of the organisation’s CRM. The post holder will also help support the ESU’s events and international work.

Responsibilities:

· Support the Membership Manager to implement a new recruitment strategy to grow ESU membership in agreed target audiences

· Work with the Membership Manager to ensure a straightforward renewals process, this includes sending email and postal renewal communications, updating lapsed memberships and taking credit and debit card payments.

· Ensure membership records on the CRM are accurate and up-to-date.

· Assemble and dispatch Welcome Packs to new members.

· Act as the first point of contact for current and prospective members and assist with their queries.

· Assist with the production of monthly membership statistics and reports.

· Ensure the ESU has robust and clearly documented membership processes and make suggestions to enhance and resolve issues that arise.

· Maintain records of international ESUs and support the Director of Global Engagement with sending communications to this group.

· Liaise with branch chairs to support their requirements and provide details on membership statuses for their branch members.

Essential:

· An understanding of the nature and importance of the ESU’s charitable work within educational and wider contexts and a strong commitment to increasing the impact of the organisation’s work

· Highly organised, with an ability to ensure deadlines and targets are met

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to ensure a high level of accuracy when adding and amending database records

· A pro-active and positive attitude to problem resolution

· An ability to engage with multiple stakeholders at all levels

· IT literate with strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel

FUNDRAISING MANAGER (INTERIM)

We have an exciting opportunity to join the thriving and dynamic SARSAS team as our Fundraising Manager.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to help SARSAS realise it’s vision of a world without sexual violence, through our ambitious strategy to extend our preventive programmes and maintain our essential high-quality services. Through developing and expanding income generated through trust and grants, corporate giving and individual giving, you will help us to be part of the systems change to end gender-based violence.

You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and team leads to understand funding priorities, identify potential funders and donors and develop compelling funding bids, proposals and appeals. This will include collaboration to develop partnership proposals.

You will undertake new prospect research and develop and nurture excellent donor relationships. You will seek opportunities to strengthen and build on existing and lapsed funding relationships and be proactive about identifying further development opportunities.

In order to realise our ambitions, we need to extend our programme of fundraising growth, so we can increase our annual income from circa £3 million to in excess of £3.5 million.

About you

Through this new organisational role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income opportunities with individuals, corporate partners and grant giving trusts and foundations. You'll bring our cause to life and building lasting funder and donor relationships, leading the drive for new donor engagement and securing sustainable, multi-year funding.

Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of building relationships with corporate partners, individuals and other donors to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. You’ll have ability support and mentor your team and the capacity yourself to create and craft compelling bids, proposals and appeals that successfully engage and attract donations from new and existing supporters.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

We are a small team and so you will be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other income streams.

SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.

SARSAS also campaigns and raises awareness about rape and sexual violence to change the narrative about sexual violence and enable survivor’s voices to be heard. Partnership work with a range of agencies locally and nationally is a priority to enable social change.

Key responsibilities

Fundraising delivery and development

• Develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio capable of generating in excess of £500k per annum, establishing a fundraising pipeline and a range of KPI’s that can be tracked and will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.
• Set up and manage clear planning processes to prepare funding applications, providing clear guidance to colleagues and external partners, which supports effective collaboration, and ensures the submission of high-quality bids, on time.
• Work with and support external consultants and colleagues to help secure fundraising partnerships and income from grant giving trusts and foundations.
•  Write high quality, well-written persuasive and compelling funding applications to secure grant funding.
•  Support the Corporate Partnerships Lead to develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning funding and partnership proposals that can successfully engage corporate partners and align with their needs, motivations, areas of interests and values.
• Develop the SARSAS Individual Giving Strategy and support the FunComms Administrator and wider Comms team to design and deliver excellent, engaging and regular communications and powerful fundraising appeals alongside establishing the associated data and systems to grow our income and pool of individual supporters making one off or monthly donations.
•  Keep up-to-date and accurate records of fundraising activities and provide quarterly updates to the senior leadership team.

Relationship management and stewardship

•  With colleagues, undertake market research and funding insight to identify new prospects and grow our income and pool of supporters.
•  Identify and broker relationships with key funders capable of funding against our fundraising priorities, providing high-quality relationship management, using appropriate communication tools and channels to maintain relationships with key individuals and organisations.
•  Design and implement generic and bespoke stewardship plans for our current network of donors, working closely with the Communications Team on the development of mailings, reports, and events as necessary.
•  Provide advice and support, as necessary, for staff who serve as primary contacts for funders/donors, to ensure that relationships are maintained to a high standard.
•  Build strong relationships across SARSAS and work with teams in an integrative way to achieve organisational ambitions.

Planning, monitoring and evaluation

•  Working closely with the SLT and relevant managers, develop a funding pipeline, which aligns across all programmes, and collaborate on quarterly update reports for the Board of Trustees and the Finance, Risk & HR Sub-Committee.
• Support SLT/ team leads to define fundraising priorities, ensuring that resources are deployed in a timely, and proportionate manner.
•  Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to evidence the impact of fundraising activities, including raised income, donor acquisition, donor retention, return on investment, donor engagement metrics, and our fundraising growth rate.
•  Oversee full implementation of Donorfy system for fundraising
•  Provide high-quality monitoring and evaluation reports.

Staff management

•  Provide leadership for your team, inspiring and motivating staff, freelancers and volunteers, setting KPIs, reviewing and improving performance, ensuring fundraising meets/exceeds targets.
• Provide and/or oversee line management of team members, ensuring that professional standards are maintained, and staff wellbeing is supported.
•  Ensure that all work adheres to all policies including Safeguarding and Data Protection guidelines.
•  Work alongside the HR Officer, to co-ordinate the recruitment of training staff.

Additional information

•  Undertake any other duties commensurate within the role including working flexibility to organisational priorities.
•  Work as part of a team, promoting the ethos and values of SARSAS.
• Ensure that all work is conducted in line with SARSAS policies and procedures and Rape Crisis England & Wales (RCEW) National Service Standards.
• Attend all training, whether statutory or non-statutory, as required.

As our Marketing Executive (Loyalty) in our Loyalty Squad you will play an important role in driving brilliant supporter-centric marketing campaigns to raise crucial support for Save the Children UK.  To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Previous experience in customer/supporter loyalty and retention marketing.
• Experience working on fundraising cash appeals or other income generating campaigns.
• Proficiency in delivering marketing initiatives across various channels, most notably Direct Mail, Email, Digital.
• Some experience with Telemarketing and SMS would be desirable but not essential.
• Demonstrated ability to grow existing supporter value through communication journeys, supporter experience enhancements, or donor care initiatives.
• Project management skills with a track record of supporting the delivery of complex projects on time and within budget.
• Experience collaborating with external partners, such as creative agencies, fulfilment houses, or telemarketing agencies.
• Familiarity with developing and delivering fundraising and marketing assets both online and offline, with knowledge of both data and print processes for direct marketing.

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and those who care about them. We help ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other activities after surgery, and give them the confidence to return to a full life and take on fresh challenges. About the role:

As the Fundraising Executive you will work to grow income through developing our community engagement, attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters (individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, volunteers etc). You will lead on the stewardship of events and challenges, including our annual Step Up campaign, by supporting individuals and groups to raise funds through fundraising activities. Two thirds of the RNLI’s operations are funded from legacies, and we are looking for the right individual to lead the Legacy Income department, ensuring that income is maximised, and all legal requirements are met. Dealing with over 4,000 open cases at any point in time, the department offers the full range of technical challenges including dealing with the funding of up to 100 projects.

You will serve as an ambassador of the RNLI in dealing with banks, executors, solicitors and other charities as well as providing a first-class service to internal departments, executive management, our trustees and volunteers.

We are looking for an excellent people manager with a strong technical background in legacy administration. You will have significant probate experience gained preferably in a charitable environment, be an expert in dealing with contentious matters and will ideally be a member of the Institute of Legacy Management.

About this exciting opportunity

As Grants and Bids Manager, you will manage statutory funding applications of five, six and seven figure multi-year income compliant with commissioner/funder requirements and oversee the project management of applications – managing timelines, activities, delegating tasks and ensuring stakeholders meet them, support decision-making through providing relevant and informed advice and producing high quality funding proposals and applications.

• Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the NHS, health care and social care professionals to inspire and enable them to feel engaged and supported to co-create and prescribe a Nature Prescription, and to connect RSPB with the health sector to help create doors for future work.
• Engage with local healthcare professionals and community groups to co-design Nature Prescriptions materials with local people, community groups and healthcare professionals so that they reach a large diversity of people, and those that need and can benefit the most.
• Develop the project plan and ensure that the right governance structure for project management is in place and RSPB internal project management practices are followed, so that the project stays on track, comes in on budget and risks are identified, escalated, and managed within tolerances.
• Work with local environmental networks to build a picture of nature-based activities available and identify opportunities for partnership working.
• Lead on developing ways to evaluate and measure the impact of the project, including engaging with those prescribing and local communities to gather stories and case studies that demonstrate the benefits to wellbeing and connectedness to nature.
• Build internal relationships with RSPB employees and volunteers working with nature prescribing and nature and wellbeing across the UK.
• Develop a strategy and plan for Nature and Wellbeing work legacy aiming to learn from the work done in Scotland and England and from the communities and health care professionals in Cardiff and surrounds to support development of future work in Cardiff and beyond.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience of working within or alongside the health and wellbeing sector.
• Project management experience with experience of leading on and developing and delivering projects with diverse communities.
• Experience of developing external partnerships and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
