At Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, we provide specialist care and vital support to children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families, across Berkshire and surrounding counties.

It costs £3.4 million each year to maintain our current level of care, with minimal government funding. Every decision we make must balance compassion with sustainability. The Role

As Director of Finance, you will:

• Provide strategic financial leadership and be a key member of the Senior Management Team
• Lead long-term financial planning to ensure sustainability and resilience
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and reserves management
• Ensure compliance with charity accounting standards and statutory requirements
• Present clear, insightful financial reports to the Board of Trustees

About You

We are looking for a strategic and values-driven finance leader who brings:

• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

As Senior New Business Manager, you will lead the new business function of our high-performing and ambitious Corporate Partnerships team. You will be responsible for driving new corporate income by identifying, cultivating and securing major partnerships. You will lead all new business activity with the New Business Manager, from proactive outreach and developing compelling propositions to successfully negotiating and onboarding new partners. 

Working closely with teams across the Charity and The Royal Marsden, you will create partnership proposals that align corporate objectives with those of the Charity. You will also lead long‑term strategic planning of the function, support the development of our Corporate Partnerships Board, and ensure the highest standards of reporting, forecasting and data management. 

This is a highly visible and impactful role, ideal for someone who combines creativity, commercial insight and strategic thinking with a passion for building relationships that create meaningful impact. 

Key responsibilities 

• Lead the New Business function, building a strong pipeline and securing high‑value, multi‑year corporate partnerships. 

• Drive income growth, meeting ambitious six‑ and seven‑figure annual and multi‑year targets while managing financial performance, budgets and forecasts. 

• Develop and deliver compelling, tailored corporate propositions, collaborating across the Charity and hospital to create standout proposals and pitches. 

• Support senior leadership, including maximising the value of the Corporate Partnerships Board and strengthening key internal stakeholder relationships. 

• Oversee new partner onboarding, negotiating partnership agreements and ensuring a smooth transition to the Partnership Management team. 

• Lead and develop the New Business Manager, providing clear direction and supporting their growth.

The role

The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring Action Together remains financially robust, sustainable, and compliant as a charity and employer. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will partner closely with the CEO and Board to shape a resilient business model, strengthen financial governance, and provide strategic direction that supports our mission and values.

You will lead and develop a high performing finance function, oversee annual budgeting and long‑term financial planning, and ensure high‑quality financial insight is available to the CEO, SLT and Board. The Finance Director has responsibility for the production of monthly accounts package, annual audit and statutory accounts, risk management, payroll assurance, investment strategy, and organisational compliance with Companies House, the Charity Commission, and all financial governance requirements.

About the role

The Senior Legacy Manager will lead the development and delivery of London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s legacy programme, ensuring legacy giving is embedded across fundraising and marketing activity and is front of mind across the organisation.

This role is responsible for managing our legacy marketing programme, working closely with the marketing team to deliver compelling, sensitive and effective activity. The postholder will also oversee our outsourced legacy administration partner, ensuring legacy gifts are processed efficiently, compliantly and in line with best practice, through regular performance monitoring and review.

Working across the Fundraising and Marketing Directorate, the Senior Legacy Manager will champion legacies as a vital form of support, collaborating closely with all teams in the directorate. The role also plays a key part in connecting our legacy and in-memory programmes, working with the community engagement team and the Deputy Director to develop a joined up in-memory strategy that ensures a coherent and compassionate supporter experience.

You’ll be an experienced and confident legacy fundraising professional with a passion for building long-term impact. You’ll be a strong collaborator who can influence across teams and seniority levels, and a persuasive advocate for the importance of legacy giving. Head of FP&A | 6 - month FTC | £70,000 - £75,000 | London | Hybrid

For a charity in London, we're recruiting an interim Head of FP&A for a 6-month contract. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Head of FP&A will manage a small team and will have leadership of the internal reporting processes, providing strategic advice to the SMT, and lead a continuous improvement programme. The Head of FP&A will design, implement, and stabilise finance processes across planning and forecasting, performance reporting, KPI management, capital and cash management, cost analysis, and process improvement.

Main Duties:

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Own the monthly performance management process and lead presentations of financial results with the Executive Board
• Define and report on performance and Finance team KPIs
• Lead the financial reporting requirements for external Grant and Donor Funders
• Oversee capital management and maintain robust rolling cash flow planning and reporting
• Manage the cost and income allocation processes and finance risk management processes
• Drive finance system engagements and automation initiatives
• Maintain the Chart of Accounts and all finance policies
• Provide ad-hoc support to the Finance Director on statutory accounting and compliance and implement and own the risk management and audit programme
• Lead, motivate, and manage a new Finance team and act as the SMT business partner, building finance capacity across the organisation

Person Specification:

• Proven FP&A leadership including managing and coaching a small team
• Experience of continuous improvement across FP&A processes
• Experience of designing, implementing, and stabilising finance processes
• Ideally experience from the Not for Profit or Charity / Grant Funded sector
• building financial models and tools with advanced Excel knowledge
• Experience of identifying improvement and optimisation opportunities

We are looking for a values‑driven operational leader with significant experience in senior operations, systems, or transformation roles. You will bring strong technical capability in designing and embedding systems and processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to produce high‑quality management information for senior leaders and Boards.

You will be an influential communicator who can lead through change, build strong relationships across the organisation, and support others to work in consistent, effective, and collaborative ways. With a strong grasp of governance, risk, compliance, and organisational assurance, you will balance strategic vision with hands‑on delivery. The role

The Operations Director will lead the development, optimisation, and continuous improvement of Action Together’s systems, processes, and organisational infrastructure. Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will co-design, develop, and maintain internal systems and processes that enhance operational delivery and organisational efficiency, ensuring they are fully embedded into day-to-day use with clear ownership, guidance, and effective performance monitoring.

You will oversee core central functions including HR, Communications and Impact, Data Protection and Information Management, and Health & Safety. You will play a key role in internal digital transformation, policy development, risk management, and organisational compliance. You will produce high‑quality management information that supports strategic decision‑making, work closely with Locality Directors to standardise and enhance delivery models. In addition, with reference to our constitution and Scheme of Delegation you will be responsible for supporting governance at Board meetings, and the AGM.

The Financial Controller is a key role within the Finance team, supporting the Finance Director to deliver a high-quality, efficient and forward-thinking finance function across a uniquely diverse, highly commercial and operationally complex organisation.

The role:

• Support the Finance Director in delivering a robust and effective finance function, providing technical expertise and operational leadership across the organisation.

Essential criteria:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant relevant experience

• Strong financial control and balance sheet management experience
• Experience leading or supporting finance system implementation or process improvement
• Proven line management experience and ability to develop teams
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders

This role will be based at Alexandra Palace with regular on-site presence required to support collaboration across the organisation.
