Main Purpose:
- Work closely with the Chief Executive to develop and evolve Home-Start’s services in response to changing needs, informing the strategy for our family support and development of services.
- Provide vision, direction, and leadership to motivate staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality services that make a measurable positive difference to children and their families.
- Manage the HSS Family Support Team, coordinating and quality assuring their work.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver evidence-based interventions that support parenting and prevent need escalating, including structured programmes and group work.
- Be a Designated Safeguarding Lead for the charity.

About the Registered Manager role:
Dunelm is a small Nursing Home for 11 service users with severe learning Disabilities and complex Healthcare needs. You will have an opportunity to lead a team to deliver a very personalised service.
You will manage and supervise a diverse staff team and ensure the co-ordination and delivery of a high-quality flexible service that best meets the needs of these individuals.
You will join us on a full-time, permanent contract (37 hours per week), and in return you will receive a salary of £37,783 - £39,936 per annum, plus benefits
Skills and experience of our ideal Manager:
We are looking for an experienced qualified nurse who has a proven record of delivering services to people with Learning disabilities and additional complex health needs. The successful candidate will be able to co-ordinate high-quality personalised care and support, based on robust assessments, planned care that is implemented and evaluated. You will also need to ensure that all aspects of Vibrance’s Leadership Values into Actions are delivered, and the staff team meet the needs of the service users and experience good outcomes.
You will need to lead a medium sized team of nurses, support staff, have experience of managing a diverse staff team, to co-ordinate staff learning and development, supervision, and staff performance. You will have good English and outstanding communication skills both written and verbal, internally and externally, have a good understanding of IT including Microsoft Office and other digital platforms and applications.
Applicants to this role must have Level 1 Registered Nursing Qualification and current registration with NMC with 5 years of significant nursing, management and supervisory experience in a relevant nursing/care setting.

Role and Responsibilities
New Position: Due to the increase in REB memberships and activities, a new full-time events role is being created to support the executive team.
Key Tasks – support the MD in creating and delivering a member engagement and events programme
1. Conception and collaboration of member events, through to completion
2. Promoting events to members, working alongside REB’s external PR/Communications agency
3. Managing event registrations and guest lists
4. Responsible for line managing the events administrator
5. Responsible for REB events planning, logistics, analysis (report & presentation) and follow-up actions
6. Attending meetings with members re event planning and development
7. Reporting quarterly to the board and attending board meetings with the Executive team
Detailed Responsibilities
1. Develop, manage and deliver REB’s event programme (working with MD and ED&I coordinator):
o upload event listings to website;
o prepare invitations;
o liaise with host venues;
o oversee registrations & comms;
o obtain event feedback
2. Monitor and evaluate events including reviewing feedback and attendance
3. Coordinate the CEO Breakfasts series
4. Maintain the Events page on the REB website
5. Maintain a database of venues
6. Identify, approach and secure appropriate speakers and participants for events
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
1. Events management and logistics
2. Knowledge (preferably working knowledge) of Microsoft Dynamics and Marketing
3. Knowledge (preferably working knowledge) of current best practices and trends in ED&I, including familiarity with key concepts (e.g. allyship, unconscious bias, intersectionality, etc.)

About the Safeguarding Officer role:
The organisation has a strong safeguarding ethos promoting the overall safety, safeguarding and welfare of all of our members. We are seeking individuals who have experience of the voluntary youth or community sector or other relevant professional field and have direct practice experience of working with children & young people in a safeguarding context. You will have experience and knowledge of statutory requirements, understand Early Help and best practice guidance, relating to the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Responsibilities as our Safeguarding Officer will include:
- Assessing and managing safeguarding allegations against those involved in the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC) and concerns about the welfare of children engaged in SCC activities
- Responding appropriately to concerns affecting a child and their safety and welfare and take appropriate and timely action.
- Supporting, guiding and coaching SCC volunteers to implement a local response to safeguarding concerns
- Making referrals to statutory agencies e.g. Local Authority Designated Officer, Police, Children’s Services, Social Care or equivalent across the UK (including DBS, PVGS).
- Attending strategy meetings, networking meetings, external meetings etc. as required
- Operating on call duties out of office hours on a rota basis
- Being the Leading Officer on safeguarding enquiries, including writing enquiry report in preparation for enquiry meetings, supporting volunteers and enquiry officers in this process, reviewing outcome and decision making in conjunction with HoS/SM/Area Officers/LADO/ Statutory agency.
Requirements needed for our Safeguarding Officer:
- Support, guide and coach SCC volunteers to implement a local response to safeguarding concerns
- Effective and skilful management of an allocated caseload
- Lead professional – Allegation Management

Purpose of Post
This is an exciting time to join our innovative carers service. We are in a position to grow the current support offered and develop other ways of supporting carers across Hertfordshire. The Carers Coordinator is an integral role within Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN) and to the future development of the service. Using the ethos and values of peer support, the post holder will support carers in an empathetic, safe, respectful and empowering way; using their lived experience to bring hope.
We offer:
- Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year pro rata, rising in increments to a max. of 29 days after 5 years employment (plus 8 days Bank Holidays)
