About the role:
This Best Companies Top 50 mid-sized company and Top10 charity is looking to appoint an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to lead the digital and design team.
The Digital Marketing Manager will manage the Rainbow Trust website and digital platforms, oversee social media and email marketing activity, lead with a data first approach to all organic and paid digital advertising and deliver engaging content to achieve our fundraising and engagement growth goals.

Reporting to the Head of Engagement you will work collaboratively across the department to ensure digital platforms, processes and integrations are optimised. ABOUT VIDERE
Videre is an award-winning, UK-registered NGO that exposes human rights abuses and holds perpetrators to account. We work directly with communities in stressed environments, equipping networks of activists and community leaders with the technology and training necessary to safely capture visual documentation of political violence, human rights violations, and other systemic abuses. Our aim is to ensure that the concerns and knowledge of affected communities drive advocacy, policy, and legal action. We currently have teams and partners in six countries and support staff in three further countries.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Manager is a critical role within Videre, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The postholder will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Videre’s security risk management framework and processes. The role supports Videre’s own project teams as well as the work we do with partners, which includes training and accompaniment on human rights documentation and the security risk management necessary to do this work safely. The Security Manager will play a key role in strengthening organisational resilience, preparedness, and security culture across multiple countries and complex operating environments.
LOCATION
Nairobi, Kampala or Bangkok preferred. Remote applicants will be considered. Approximately 20 days travel per year expected.
COMPENSATION
Salary is dependent on location. The UK-equivalent salary from £55,000 to £60,000, plus pension contribution, will be converted using ICSC scales.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Security Risk Management
- Maintain and continuously improve Videre’s Security Risk Management framework, ensuring effective implementation across all operations.
- Lead the safety and security elements of the organisational Risk Register held by the Chief Operating Officer, ensuring senior leadership is regularly informed of key risks and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular Security Risk Assessments, in collaboration with relevant managers and teams, covering programme operations, partner locations, and other identified risk areas.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee the implementation of Safety and Security Management Plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring staff are appropriately briefed and familiar with their content.
Preparedness, Monitoring & Incident Response
- Lead scenario planning and preparedness activities for safety and security risk management.
- Provide proactive, practical safety security management advice, guidance and support to teams and partners.
- Lead the crisis management response to security incidents as required.
- Monitor security contexts, analyse trends, and share relevant information to support informed decision-making.
Training, Capacity Building & Culture
- Design and deliver security risk management training and capacity-building resources for staff and partners.
- Foster and embed a strong organisational security culture, promoting shared responsibility for safety and risk awareness.
External Engagement
- Manage Videre’s participation in security-related consortiums and networks, including the Global Interagency Security Forum.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
- An understanding of risk management methodologies and experience applying them across multi-country teams.
- Experience in executing complex and sensitive security management responses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, verbally and in writing.
- Experience of working directly with affected communities for sustained periods.
- Willingness to occasionally work extended hours during peak or emergency periods.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and requirements.

Preferred:
- An understanding of human rights and a strong belief in their indivisibility and interdependence.

About the role
The Digital Asset Management Officer (Platform Lead) will take ownership of WaterAid’s new Digital Asset Management (DAM) system hosted on Orange Logic, ensuring it meets the needs of a global communications and fundraising directorate.
This is a 6-month fixed-term role focused on completing the implementation and rollout of the system, embedding new ways of working, and ensuring the organisation can confidently and consistently access its best photography, film, design and document assets.
In this role, you will:
- Complete the final configuration of WaterAid’s DAM system, including collections, metadata structures, keywording, tagging, access levels and workflows.
- Ensure new content is uploaded, processed, accurately tagged and made accessible on an ongoing basis, preventing backlogs and ensuring uninterrupted use of the system during the transition period.
- Lead the day-to-day running of the DAM, providing hands-on support, troubleshooting issues and maintaining high standards of data quality, usability and compliance.
- Develop and deliver training, guidance and support to teams across WaterAid UK, country programme offices and member offices, driving adoption and confident use of the platform.
- Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion, ethical storytelling and safeguarding in the management and use of all digital assets.
Requirements
To be successful, you will need;
- Proven experience configuring and managing a Digital Asset Management system, including hands-on responsibility for uploading, processing, metadata, tagging and keywording.
- Strong technical understanding of DAM platforms, ideally including Orange Logic or a comparable enterprise system.
- Experience working with creative content workflows, including photography, film, design files and associated rights, consents and metadata.
- A process-driven approach with excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to support, train and advise users with varying levels of technical confidence.
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Experience implementing or rolling out a DAM system within a global organisation or NGO.
- Knowledge of ethical content practices, GDPR and representation standards in relation to imagery and film.
- Experience delivering training or onboarding programmes for digital platforms or content systems.

You’ll create compelling, original content for our digital channels spotlighting our impact, amplifying our voice and the voices of disabled people. Working within our growing Digital Communications team, you’ll ensure our content is timely, relevant, and aligned with sector developments, supporting our strategic aims and deepening community engagement.
What you will be doing:
Social media management and community building
- Own day-to-day management of our social media channels (LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook).
- Foster community engagement - respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, sensitive, and brand-aligned way.
- Develop and implement community-building initiatives (user-generated content and beneficiary support stories)
- Follow best practice guidelines to ensure all content is accessible (e.g. alt text, video captions).
Content creation and storytelling
- Create original, on-brand social media content that reflects Motability Foundation’s values, mission, and impact. This includes written copy, graphics, short videos, infographics, and carousel posts.
- Develop content that communicates impact and encourages calls to action, such as grant applications or case study sign-ups.
- Collaborate with the Content and Stories Executive, and Communications team colleagues (e.g. press, public affairs) to source stories, case studies, and content opportunities.
- Maintain the digital content calendar in coordination with the Digital Communications team.
Campaign planning an execution
- Lead integrated digital awareness-raising campaigns that bring together organic social, paid social, email, and web content.
- Manage campaign creative, scheduling, and coordination, ensuring timely execution and message alignment.
- Work with partner organisations and external agencies to deliver high-quality campaign assets.
Social listening, analytics and reporting
- Use social listening tools to track sentiment, conversations, and emerging trends in the transport and disability space.
- Help develop and monitor KPIs (reach, engagement, conversion, sentiment) and produce regular performance reports.
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations for content, community, and campaign optimisation.
- Use A/B testing or experimentation (post times, formats, messaging) to improve performance.
Strategy development and implementation
- Support the development of a long-term social media strategy aligned with the charity’s five-year strategy.
- Help define audience segments, tone of voice, content pillars, channel priorities, and metrics for success.
- Contribute to cross-functional strategy discussions to ensure social media aligns with wider organisational goals.
- Stay up to date on social media trends, platform changes, emerging tools, and best practices in the charity sector.
Risk management and brand governance
- Ensure that all social content aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and organisational values.
- Escalate any reputational or safeguarding risks (e.g. negative sentiment, sensitive stories) to the Digital Communications Manager and wider Communications team.
- Support the development and implementation of social media policy, guidelines, and process maps.
Your experience:
- Proven track record of success in a dedicated social media or digital communications role, ideally within a charity or a public sector organisation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Experience developing and running social media campaigns (using organic and paid content).
- Skilled at content creation: writing, graphic design (e.g. Canva or Adobe Express) and basic video production / editing.
- Used social analytics and listening tools to measure performance, monitor sentiment, and generate insights.
- Managed or contributed to multi-channel campaigns, combining social media with email and website.

You will champion and celebrate legacy and in memory giving both internally and externally, helping to raise awareness of the vital role these gifts play in enabling hospice care across Lincolnshire.
You will be accountable for an income target across Legacy and In Memory giving. This will involve understanding the market in which you operate, including the motivations and drivers behind this type of support, and using insight to inform strategy, campaigns, and stewardship activity.
You will be confident in working with senior managers, directors, and trustees, as well as building strong external relationships with solicitors, Will writers, and professional advisers. Through these partnerships, you will help secure long-term, sustainable funding and ensure St Barnabas Hospice can continue to provide compassionate care to people living with life-limiting and terminal illness throughout Lincolnshire.
