About the role

The Impact and Learning Consultant will play a central role in advancing how the Vitol Foundation understands, measures and deepens its impact. They will build on existing frameworks, tools and processes developed by our Head of Impact, Learning and Strategy who is due to go on maternity leave, as well as bring their own expertise to further strengthen our approach to impact and learning, embedding it into our day-to-day decisions. As our lead expert in this area, the Consultant will ensure that our strategy and grantmaking are guided by emerging data and evidence, and support continuous learning across all our work.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the field of measurement and evaluation, combining strategic leadership experience with strong hands-on technical skills to support Foundation colleagues and nonprofit partners. They will have experience with a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methods and working in global settings, especially to support local partners operating in low-resource and/or emergency environments. This role requires someone with excellent communication skills, translating complex findings into clear, actionable insights tailored to different audiences, including Vitol Foundation colleagues, our board and non-technical external stakeholders.

Above all, the candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to the vision, mission and values of the Vitol Foundation and improving people’s lives. They will report directly to our CEO and be part of a small but enthusiastic team of people committed to making a difference. The position is based at the Foundation’s office in London, United Kingdom.
 

Key responsibilities

Impact measurement and reporting

• Continue rollout of the foundation‑level impact framework across our grant portfolio, making ongoing adjustments and clarifications as it’s being road-tested with a growing number of grantees.
• Design and refine grant‑level impact measures. Develop impact indicators for new grants and review existing ones, working closely with programme managers and partners to ensure alignment with project goals, partner capacity and the foundation‑level impact framework.
• Review and strengthen data quality of incoming partner reports to ensure that progress is meaningfully captured through quantitative and qualitative indicators. Check for clarity, completeness, consistency and data quality, and provide feedback or make revisions as needed.
• Support uptake and adjustments to our impact dashboards in Salesforce to ensure clarity and usefulness for Foundation colleagues. Work with the Operations Manager and external developers to implement changes where needed.

Learning and strategy implementation

• Regularly synthesise and share lessons learned from across our grant portfolio as well as from the wider international development sector. Highlight emerging data, evidence and findings, and their implications for the Foundation’s strategy and grants.
• Conduct rapid evidence reviews to inform sector‑level strategies and individual grants as they are developed or revised. Work closely with programme leads and partners to ensure emerging evidence is reflected in design and implementation, and to identify ways to build credible evidence to strengthen the impact of our grants.
• Serve as a technical expert for externally-led evaluations of our grants, including reviewing research protocols, data collection tools, analysis plans, and consent and safeguarding processes. Note: evaluations will be commissioned by external parties, this role will not manage evaluation contracts or teams.

Internal and external communications

• Draw out insights from impact data, other programme documents and external sources to inform management and board reporting, including regular tracking of portfolio‑level outcomes, key trends and lessons learned.
• Work with the Head of Communications to draft content for internal and external audiences, using relevant data and statistics and creating compelling visualisations that reinforce key messages.
   

Qualifications

Essential

• Educational background: Advanced degree in a relevant field (for example, public policy, global development, business administration).
• Professional experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in impact measurement, strategic learning, or programme evaluation in philanthropy, non-profits or social impact sectors.
• Analytical rigour and insight: Demonstrated ability to synthesise complex data and strategic insights; proven record of shaping high-level organisational strategies.
• Facilitation and communication: Strong skills in facilitating discussions, presenting insights to senior leadership, and translating complex data into accessible, strategic information.
• Project management and adaptability: Track record of managing complex research and evaluation projects with multiple stakeholders; able to balance strategic oversight with hands-on problem solving.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Desirable

• Familiarity with using Salesforce as a grant management system.
• Experience working or living in one or more of our priority countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Haiti, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Myanmar, Pakistan, Senegal, Sudan, Syria and Tanzania.

The Campaigning Youth Worker (CPW) will work with young people who are seeking asylum or who are refugees in London to support them to seek change to laws and policies on the issues that matter to them. This role will be located in Croydon and King’s Cross, with regular attendance at our service delivery venues across London as required, including one evening activity per week. 

The role will involve building relationships with young people who attend Young Roots activities and through outreach, having ongoing conversations about the issues that young people say matter to them, working with young people to understand how change to laws and policies happens and supporting young people to take campaigning action to achieve that change.

THE ROLE:
The Service Manager plays a central role in ensuring that every young person who engages with Empire Fighting Chance receives high-quality, personalised support.

In this role, you will ensure that every young person who connects with Empire Fighting Chance receives an outstanding experience. You will oversee the full journey of young people through our programmes. From referral and assessment to onboarding, scheduling and progression. You will ensure their experience is safe and impactful.

You will champion a safety-aware culture across the organisation, embedding safeguarding into everyday practice and leading on case management and risk mitigation. This role is key to building a strong operational foundation for our Centre of Excellence in Bristol. Through strategic management, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will help shape an environment where young people feel safe, supported and empowered.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
1. Manage the recruitment of young people

Accountable for the recruitment of suitable young people onto the programmes of Empire Fighting Chance.

• Implement a robust referral criteria process to ensure that Empire Fighting Chance targets the young people that it best supports.Contribute to the development of a ‘bank’ of recommended organisations to share with those young people who do not meet the charity’s referral criteria.

• Ensure the recruitment of young people for different Empire programmes meets organisational, grant and contractual targets.
• Provide oversight of all referral partnerships held by Empire Fighting Chance, ensuring all are working as well as they can.
• Ensure the charity collects robust and accurate information from referral partners on young people signposted to Empire Fighting Chance.
• Contribute to building intelligence of local systems within Bristol to shape how we recruit young people, including understanding the education, Special Educational Needs and mental health landscapes.
• Ensure the recruitment of young people onto EFC programmes follows a robust quality assurance process, using data to inform and strengthen existing processes

2. Manage the triaging and scheduling of young people
Accountable for ensuring young people participate in the right programme with the right coach mentor or therapist at the right time.

• Improve the prioritisation criteria to ensure that the charity fast tracks individuals who are most in need of support.
• Identify new approaches to managing the charity’s waiting list, ensuring the programmes can meet their needs and offer the correct resources to support them.
• Implement our assessment process to ensure Empire Fighting Chance gains a full and accurate understanding of each young person’s needs and circumstances.
• Implement a process to match young people with the most appropriate Empire Fighting Chance programme and coach mentor/therapist.
• Strengthen the scheduling process of young people’s programmes at Empire Fighting Chance.

3. Manage a safety aware culture
Accountable for developing of a culture where safeguarding and safety are embedded into every aspect
of our work.

• Champion a safety-aware culture across the organisation, embedding safeguarding into everyday practice.
  Be a key part of the safeguarding team and ensure robust safeguarding practices are implemented across all areas of the charity.
• Lead on safeguarding case management, including referrals, reporting, and liaison with external agencies.
• Identify, assess and mitigate safeguarding risks in programme delivery and organisational operations.

4. Manage young people’s ‘Empire Experience’
Accountable for Empire Fighting Chance giving young people the best possible experience (outside of the delivery of programmes).

• Identify and implement improvements to The Mill boxing gym to ensure that young people feel safe and have an enjoyable experience (while retaining the look and feel of a real boxing gym). 
• Oversee the onboarding process to ensure that young people have the best possible start to their Empire experience.
• Work alongside the Head of Programmes and Community Outreach Manager to develop a ‘bank’ of local organisations and services that young people can be referred onto during or after their programme. Ensure this information is shared with coaches and therapists so they can communicate it to the young person.
• Oversee the offboarding process that will support young people to continue their development after leaving Empire Fighting Chance (e.g. resources and pathways for young people – internally and externally).
• Use data and insights from young people to improve their experience.

5. Manage the provision of family liaison/support
Accountable for providing support to parents/carers of young people.

• Work alongside the Family Liaison Officer to enhance the information, advice, guidance and support provided to parents and carers to ensure young people engage with their programme.
• Oversee the development of practices and interventions that can provide support to parents and carers that will, in turn, have benefits for young people.

6. Line management of a team
Provide strategic direction to a small team in a supportive manner.

• Provide clear direction, support and motivation to team members, ensuring the Centre of Excellence objectives and the experience of young people is central to all decision making.
• Set clear performance goals and expectations for each function area within the operations team to ensure EFC programmes are operating to the highest standards and at optimal capacity.
• Ensure the team receive regular CPD and are equipped with the skills and knowledge to best support young people (many with complex needs).

Key responsibilities of the role

• Be the first point of contact for enquiries, managing incoming phone calls and generic inboxes for policy and campaigns, ensuring that enquiries are escalated efficiently and calls transferred to appropriate DCC team members.

About St Peters West Molesey & Bridge the Gap

St Peters West Molesey is one of twelve VCSE partners delivering Surrey’s Changing Futures / Bridge the Gap service. Bridge the Gap supports people experiencing multiple disadvantage—including homelessness, rough sleeping, mental and physical health challenges, substance use, domestic abuse, offending behaviours, and other safeguarding concerns.

Using a holistic, trauma-informed and person-centred approach, we walk side by side with clients to help them stabilise their lives, regain control, and achieve meaningful change.

The Role

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated Bridge the Gap Practitioner to provide intensive outreach support to single people who are rough sleeping, homeless, or at risk of homelessness. Each individual is unique, and your work will reflect their personal goals, strengths, hopes, and aspirations.

You will build trusting relationships, co-produce person-centred plans (“My Story, Strengths and Hopes”), and offer practical, emotional, and advocacy support. Alongside system partners and multi-agency teams, you’ll help clients access the services they need to move towards stability and wellbeing.

This role includes reflective practice and clinical supervision with our resident Clinical Psychologist, ensuring your own wellbeing is prioritised.

Key Responsibilities

Engagement & Support

• Build relationships with people who are rough sleeping, homeless, or at risk of homelessness

About Open Seas

Open Seas is a small environmental charity working in Scotland and beyond to promote environmental recovery in our seas and champion sustainable seafood. Established in 2016, we conduct environmental and policy research to inform consumers, markets and decision-makers as well as generate campaigns to drive positive change for the environmental health of Scotland’s seas. 

This is a new role within our client following functional changes over a number of years. The Head of Supported Living is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and developing supported living services for adults with learning disabilities within the charity including our client's Shared Lives schemes and their residential home.

The role ensures that services are person-centred, high-quality, and compliant with regulatory and organisational standards, while empowering individuals to live independently and achieve their goals.

The role responsibilities will ensure that our client is able to support more people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health problems to lead healthy, active and equal lives. Their ambition is to become a leader in social and green care integration through the alignment of the personalisation agenda, technological enhancement and advancement and holistic health and wellbeing. 

To achieve this ambition, they will transform their services to ensure that they are effective, efficient and impact and outcomes focused. The post will be responsible for ensuring that services are targeted at people who will gain the most benefit from the Trust’s community (campus) offer within rural and urban contexts. The role will create an “expert driven” provision which is evidence based and provides independent living and a life of opportunity through an ethos of co-production, health and wellbeing.

The role will implement agreed strategy, developing delivery plans that are executed with high quality communication and engagement ensuring that the voices of both staff, people supported and families are heard.

Location & Travel
West Midlands, Gloucestershire and Hertfordshire

The role will cover our communities at Stourbridge (West Midlands), Grange Village & Oaklands Park (Gloucestershire) and St Albans & Delrow, Watford (Hertfordshire). 

You will be based at one of the communities within the region, with regular travel between communities.

You will be required to attend quarterly leadership away days and other meetings which will require overnight stays.

Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership

• Lead, manage, inspire and develop high performing, highly respected and skilled supported living teams across three communities, supporting and line-managing direct reports to achieve agreed objectives, which will in turn support the delivery of the wider strategic objectives of the Trust.

• Actively contribute to the Senior Leadership Team, sharing collective responsibility for the development, delivery and evaluation of cross-departmental projects and activities.
