Essential Criteria

• Expertise in Multi-Sector Program Management: Demonstrated proficiency in assessing, designing, and managing projects across diverse sectors within complex settings. A track record of navigating the project cycle successfully and securing institutional funding from bilateral and multilateral donors.
• Exceptional Project Management Skills: Proven ability to excel in managing multifaceted tasks within challenging timelines. Prioritization prowess is key, consistently meeting deadlines amidst competing demands.
• Donor Relationship Management: Extensive experience cultivating and sustaining relations with institutional donors such as DFID/FCDO, EU/ECHO, and UN bodies. As an IT Support Specialist, you will seek optimal user experience by handling and coordinating tickets, training users, and identifying possibilities for improvements. Our technical environment is standard Microsoft M365, Entra, D365, etc. combined with a mix of commercial security tools and custom applications. This position reports directly to the ODI IT Infra & Service Delivery Manager. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Monitor and triage incoming tickets (Freshservice ITSM tool), provide timely response to all issues, update internal customers on status, solicit additional information, if needed;

• Responsible for the full professional handling of customer questions, requests, and incidents and take measures when issues arise; 

• Identify possibilities for structural improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our IT services, for example using PowerAutomate or similar;

• Training and advising individual users in secure and efficient use of IT systems;

• Act as a key first point of contact for UK staff

At London City Mission, we estimate that one in two Londoners, that’s roughly 4.5 million people, are unlikely to hear the gospel in their lifetime. These are the people who are unlikely to have a Christian friend to invite them to church or introduce them to the hope they can find in Jesus Christ. Many of those who have never heard the gospel will be from diverse people groups and faith communities.

As a Mission, we are partnering with churches who have a growing passion for reaching out to their neighbourhoods with the good news of Jesus Christ, but who need equipping and building up for this crucial work. This role is, therefore, Church mobilisation role.

We are seeking candidates for a Missionary role who have a passion for sharing the good news of Jesus with specific groups of Londoners, but who can also come alongside churches to train and inspire Christian believers to reach their local communities with the hope of the gospel. We are recruiting to the following roles:  

• Pan-London Team – Prisons & Resettlement specialism 

• Waterloo & Brixton – Homeless and Marginalised specialism 

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a love for those least likely to hear of Jesus and marginalised people groups of London; a track record in evangelism amongst those from the particular specialism group; and the ability to inspire others in churches across a geographical area to get involved in ministry. They will work alongside and equip church volunteers for outreach amongst the people groups in their communities, working as part of an experienced gospel ministry team.  They will also need to be able to raise ministry personal support, including a target financial support as well as prayer supporters for the work of the Mission through personal and church partnership networks.  

These positions are full-time, permanent appointments. Starting salary is £21,720 per annum plus £1,100 per month housing allowance (taxable). Mission housing will be discussed with successful candidates after probation. Targets for personal financial support will be £8,500 for the year 2024.

• Process donations received by all forms, including web donations.

• Manage office stock levels.
• Assist in processing of renewals and subscription releases.
• Order office and event stock.
• Circulate advance copies.
• Assist finance team with statements to account.
• Administrative support to the Operations team as required.

Live out your Christian faith in a fun job, surrounded by excellent kind volunteers and straight talking adults with learning disabilities in a beautiful farm setting near Winchester.  If you love cooking, people and thinking on your feet, then this is the management job for you.  Boaz is a small independent charity that over 100 people a week call their "workplace".  Four days a week around 30 people come to the farm to "work and learn together" doing a whole range of horticulture and other jobs such as cooking, craft, animal care and woodwork.  As Deputy Manager you will help keep the fun levels high, the stress levels low, and people working harmoniously together.  Four days each week you'll lead on cooking a simple vegetarian meal for everyone on site, plus be involved in the general day to day management of the charity.  But don't take my word for it, swing by for a coffee and a walk around to get a feel for things BEFORE you apply.  Based in a converted cow barn this is a MARMITE job, and we all know that people either love or don't love that spread.

It's a small team, only two other full time staff members working alongside you, but over 50 volunteers coming and going each week and over 30 adults with learning disabilities who spend half days or several days a week working at the project.  Each day starts with some "listening and prayer time" where people are encouraged to share and receive prayer if they request it.  Then some scripture is shared followed by remembering everything people are grateful for.  As Deputy Manager you would lead these sessions when the General Manager is on leave or be on a rota system.

The role is based on-site, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4:30.

You get 20 days holiday a year plus Public Holidays to start with, plus additional days for long service.

Pay will be in the range of £28 to £30,000 p/a depending on experience.
