Romsey Mill is looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Trusts and Statutory Fundraiser to join our team and play their part in helping to make our vision of a transformed society, where all young people, children and families fully belong, positively contribute and thrive, a reality.
Romsey Mill is a Cambridge-based charitable organisation creating opportunities with young people, families and local communities, across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to overcome disadvantage, promote inclusion and develop personal, social and spiritual wellbeing. Established in 1980 by local churches and working in partnership with a range of other organisations, Romsey Mill is a charity with a Christian ethos, working openly and inclusively with people of any faith and none.
We want to appoint a fundraiser who will work alongside the team to help secure and grow income; and who will be responsible for researching and writing funding applications to charitable trusts and statutory bodies to fund our programmed work to transform young lives, and preparing outcome and impact reports for funders.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser, or somebody with strong transferable skills, to make an impact with a creative and compassionate local charity making a lasting difference for good with vulnerable young people, children and families in Cambridgeshire.
To be successful in the role you will have an understanding of what is involved in securing grants from Trusts and Charitable Foundations and proven experience of making compelling cases for support.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and strategic fundraiser to join our existing team. You will be someone with a proven track record in fundraising who can raise the profile of the SBS brand and attract new audiences to respond by supporting the SBS mission. You will have experience of developing and managing campaigns that help meet fundraising targets for a charitable organisation or not-for-profit entity.
You will be articulate with strong influencing skills. You will have proven stakeholder management skills to work with all levels of staff in the organisation, our board of directors, and external partners. This is a significant role in an organisation with a strong Christian ethos, therefore there is an occupational requirement that the post holder is a practising Christian.

As Fundraising Coordinator you will play a key role in Viva’s Fundraising & Engagement team, building relationships with and providing exceptional supporter care to our donors – including individuals, churches and community groups. Your high level of organisation, strong administrative skills and love of engaging with a variety of people will ensure that Viva’s supporters have an excellent and personalised giving experience. Through all this you will play a vital role in supporting Viva’s core mission of effectively responding to the needs of vulnerable children around the world.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporter engagement – personally engaging with donors by email, letters, phone or in person
- Supporter care administration – ensuring accuracy in reporting and recording donations
- Coordination of Fundraising & Engagement team – supporting team communication and the Director for Fundraising & Engagement in team administration
- Operations and office support – ensuring Viva’s UK office runs smoothly
This role will suit you if you:
- enjoy engaging with supporters and building relationships
- are highly organised, thrive on accuracy and have a keen eye for detail
- are quick to learn and engage with systems and data, including financial software and information
- would love to join a welcoming, creative, supportive and international team
This is a full- or part-time role for Viva, located at our Oxford office in the UK with the option to also work at home: some working time will be needed in the office on a weekly basis but the exact split of office/home working time can be decided in conversation between the successful candidate and line manager.
