We need a new Director of Communications. You’ll be responsible for helping us communicate the Gospel and the great work we do in our communities, and telling the good news stories that encourage and inspire us as we embark on our strategy to deliver the Diocesan vision to “bless the 1.5 million people” in our diocese who currently have no meaningful connection with our worshipping communities. We need someone who can catalyse everyone in the diocese to be better communicators.
The successful candidate will have a wide-ranging experience of communication matters with the ability to promote our work in a positive and strategic manner, and manage media relations proactively and effectively.
The post is based at Church House, Daresbury, with some travel around the Diocese and the option for hybrid working with up to 40% working from home. A full driving licence and access to a car is essential.
Salary: £51,515 - £55,692 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience.

Our funds provide much needed income for a wide range of projects, including the fabric and repair of the iconic Minster itself, the training of apprentices in traditional heritage crafts and strategic initiatives such as the realisation of the Minster's new international Centre of Excellence for Heritage Skills and Estate Management.
In the last year we have built on existing strong fundraising relationships and techniques to explore new ways of engaging donors and digital audiences and this is an exciting time to join the Fund as we move forward on a number of major projects. The Food bank Campaign Coordinator is responsible for delivering Trussell Trust’s influencing and mobilising work, in their target area, during the General Election. You will do this by building strong relationships with other food banks in your Parliamentary constituency areas of Rhondda and Ogmore, Bridgend and Vale of Glamorgan. Campaign Coordinators implement Trussell Trust’s national General Election strategy, by using organising techniques to put pressure on PPC’s in each Parliamentary constituency.
You will build and lead local community teams who support ending the need for foodbanks, securing commitments from your PPC’s to ‘prioritise the problem of people going without essentials if re/elected, acknowledging the role social security needs to play in tackling it.’

You will be the link between your food bank(s) and the Mobilisation team at Trussell Trust, as we build a movement to end the need for food banks.

· To build trusted relationships with food banks during (pre and post) UK General Election. You will hold 1:1 conversations with each food bank in your allocated area and ensure there is clear communication between the food banks.
· To support teams of community volunteers. You will have 1:1s with: food bank staff, volunteers, interested individuals, partner organisations and stakeholders in each community to develop community bases for your campaign work.
· To lead effective door-knocking teams in your community. You will door knock with your community campaign team to drum up support for the campaign, provide members of the public literature on Food bank use in their local community, and invite people to their local hustings.
· To help each of your community campaign teams organise a local husting. You will ensure that your community campaign teams: attend national Trussell Trust webinars, receive national guidance on how to approach PPC’s, understand the Trussell Trust legal GE guidance, understand the logistics of organising a hustings, ensure that the husting is accessible as possible and ensure that the voices of people with lived experience are heard through the hustings.
· To develop good relationships with local press and media outlets. You will work alongside national Trussell Truststaff to find key press and media contacts in your assigned area, ensuring your community campaign teams get coverage for their hard work.

About You…
As WVUK’s Grant Proposal & Contract Bid Lead, you'll be at the helm of a rewarding opportunity, helping to steer the submission process to fulfill WVUK’s Institutional Funding income requirements. Here's a glimpse into the key responsibilities:
- Mastermind Coordination: Lead, manage, and orchestrate the submission process, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to craft compelling grant proposals. You'll craft a meticulous plan, ensure timely delivery of inputs, and hold everyone accountable for their contributions.
- Relationship Maestro: Dive into a world of relationship building! You'll nurture and manage connections crucial for submission success, liaising with stakeholders from National Offices, consortium partners, and WVUK's specialized teams. Your expertise will position WV as an esteemed grant contender, fostering early engagement with partners and streamlining processes seamlessly.
- Champion of Quality: Your pursuit of excellence will drive the delivery of high-quality submissions, meeting win-rate targets and industry standards. You'll craft proposals that align with donor policies, contextual needs, and WV's strategic vision. Mitigating risks, ensuring compliance, and harnessing valuable lessons learned will be your forte.
- Continuous Innovation: Your hunger for knowledge will fuel the continuous enhancement of WVUK's submissions. Engage with sector experts, tap into WVI networks, and stay abreast of evolving programming approaches. Your insights will not only strengthen submissions but also elevate the team’s collective expertise.
Essential Criteria
- Expertise in Multi-Sector Program Management: Demonstrated proficiency in assessing, designing, and managing projects across diverse sectors within complex settings. A track record of navigating the project cycle successfully and securing institutional funding from bilateral and multilateral donors.
- Exceptional Project Management Skills: Proven ability to excel in managing multifaceted tasks within challenging timelines. Prioritization prowess is key, consistently meeting deadlines amidst competing demands.
- Donor Relationship Management: Extensive experience cultivating and sustaining relations with institutional donors such as DFID/FCDO, EU/ECHO, and UN bodies. Adept at analysing funding requirements and adeptly navigating varied worldviews. Skilled in fostering, managing, and evolving relationships within consortium partnerships.
- Proactive Innovation and Process Improvement: A proactive and creative approach to refining existing processes and devising new strategies for enhanced efficiency and efficacy. Strong emphasis on knowledge management within a high-pressure team environment.
- Team Leadership and Financial Acumen: Proven track record in assembling and nurturing project teams. Proficiency in linking financial aspects with operational requirements to ensure seamless project execution.

We are looking for an enthusiatic and creative Mid-Level Graphic Designer. You will be responsible for creating visually compelling designs that align with CCX's mission and branding guidelines. Working within our hybrid management model, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop creative solutions for various projects and initiatives.
Your designs will play a crucial role in effectively communicating our message and equipping leaders within the Church for discipleship in new and renewed ways.
Duties and Accountabilities
● Designing print and digital materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, social media graphics, website assets, course material and other promotional materials.
● Collaborating with project teams to understand project requirements and objectives, and translating them into visually engaging designs.
● Maintaining and adhering to CCX's brand guidelines across all design work, ensuring consistency and alignment with our mission and values.
● Participating in brainstorming sessions and contributing creative ideas and concepts to enhance project outcomes.
● Managing multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● Incorporating feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve design deliverables.
● Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in graphic design.
This is a part-time role.
