The Senior Operations Manager supports the implementation of effective and efficient activities to deliver the Gavi project in accordance with international standards, best practice and donor expectations. The role reports to the Deputy Team Lead- Gavi and is responsible for consistent implementation of systems and procedures. The Senior Operations Manager will be expected to support our culture of continuous improvement.

A strong operational background in international development, including extensive field experience, and excellent project management skills are essential for the role. The Senior Operations Manager will manage a medium sized team and occasional overseas travel may be required.

Summary of the role:

As the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)  Officer focuses on strengthening and supporting the various projects, including the collection of programme wide statistics to detail the reach and results of Muslim Aid UK  (MAUK) programmes. The MEAL Officer will provide guidance, coordination, and technical support to Country Offices and Partner’s MEAL systems through MAUK Programmes, ensuring that the programme has the flexibility to respond appropriately to the context while ensuring quality, effectiveness and responsiveness in line with humanitarian standards, as well as compliance with the Institutional donors.

The position supports a robust monitoring system that facilitates both accountability and learning and includes data collection, analysis, learning reflection and timely action-taking in support of quality service delivery.

You will play a critical role in this unit with an exciting mandate to support and improve the dynamic programmatic portfolio Muslim Aid Implements Globally. You will work closely with partners and country offices and contribute to improving systems within IPD.

About the Role:

1. Collaborate with the MEAL Manager, country offices and partners staff to craft MEAL systems that align with the project, and MAUK Global objectives, are relevant to the context, responsive to assessed needs, are measurable and are in compliance with grant requirements.
2. Ensure that all relevant collaborators have timely access to appropriate information and evidence.
3. Support in the review and prepare timely and accurate MEAL reports, including progress reports and impact assessments.
4. Provide assistance in monitoring programme progress including the design of appropriate MEAL Plans, indicators, targets, baseline data, timelines, data collection tools that can track progress of projects’ progress.
5. Support the preparation of terms of reference of external and internal evaluations, case and impact studies in coordination with the focal points.
6. Support the MEAL Manager on building capacity among staff and partners in MEAL concepts and practices.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate degree in international development, sustainable livelihoods, humanitarianism, or programme management preferred.
2. Understanding of development programmes design, implementation and evaluation.
3. Experience and understanding of monitoring and evaluation of programmes; using of quantitative and qualitative research data collected in support of programme development.
4. Experience developing logical/results frameworks, indicators, and MEAL plans.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective in diverse and challenging environments.
6. Strong measurement, analytical, systematic thinking, planning and organisational skills.

MannionDaniels are looking to recruit an experienced Grants Manager (bi-lingual Portuguese- English) to support our Gavi CSO funding mechanism. The Grants Manager will need to have a background in health as they will be responsible for oversight of a portfolio of different sized grants, delivering immunization and health system strengthening programmes across different types of organisations and geographies. The Grants Manager will work collaboratively with technical colleagues to maximise results and minimise risk for a portfolio of projects. The role holder will support the performance and develop the capabilities of grantees and contribute to wider learning.

We are looking for people with either direct experience of working in the health sector in West and Central Africa, Mozambique or Angola and are fluent Portuguese speakers. The Grants Manager provides a focal point to coordinate the technical, financial, and operational support to each grantee throughout the grant management process. The Grants Manager will work closely with the wider grant support team to ensure grants move efficiently through the grant management cycle and to coordinate technical assistance for grantees. In addition, the Grants Manager will support the design and delivery of further Gavi projects implementing technical assistance to CSOs in specific thematic areas and countries.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

 

Funding

· Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end funding process from development of applications to decisions and monitoring of funded programmes.

· Overseeing ongoing delivery of the funding strategy by working with Funding Managers to effectively deliver and manage funding portfolios.

· Co-chairing of funding committees as required, supporting delivery in line with our governance structures.

· Oversee effective management of our Special Purpose Funds (SPFs)

· Working with finance teams and Funding Managers to ensure appropriate financial reporting and information is available across our funding portfolio.

· Supporting on financial and operational planning in-year, at mid-year review and in planning for future years, in line with our strategy.

· Supporting Funding Managers to maintain strong relationships with the Trust leads, to enable a partnership approach

· Working closely with the Head of Evaluation & Learning to ensure evaluation and learning are embedded at every stage of the funding cycle

· Leading on cross-team programmes of work such as embedding health equity into our funding, deliver effective patient and public engagement (working with the Patient and Public Engagement Manager) across our decision-making and deliver improvements to our grant-making.

· Supporting the iteration of the funding strategy

 

Other

· Provide line management to the Funding Managers and Patient and Public Engagement Manager as well as supporting the overall work of the wider team.

· As a key senior leader of the Funding and Impact Team, contribute and support the wider work of the team.

· Support the Director of Funding and Impact and Executive Director of Charities with other tasks relating to planning and development as required.

· Build and sustain strong relationships with the Fundraising, Marketing and Engagement teams within NHS Charities to enable collaborative working and sharing of information on our funding portfolio.

Working Environment: 

The post holder should expect to: 

• Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.

Join our team: We are seeking a Service Delivery Lead to have operational oversight and responsibility for Brake’s National Road Victim Service (NRVS). Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the role will focus on building strong foundations, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring effective service delivery.

Who you are: An excellent communicator, with the ability to engage and inspire and a proven ability to get things done.  You will have strong, robust, and consistent leadership skills, and be capable of making sound judgments under pressure and ensuring timely resolutions.  Proven experience in managing or leading a team within a service delivery environment is a must as is experience in safeguarding, and managing risk, including clinical escalation and operational risk mitigation.

You will have a visible, approachable and supportive leadership style, combined with resilience and adaptability, a collaborative mindset and a commitment to Brake’s mission to support road victims and create safer roads for everyone.

Purpose of the Role

The role of the Project Officer – Legal Services (POLS) is to support the PBLS team’s mission to advance the UN SDGs by brokering pro bono legal assistance from legal experts in support of international NGOs globally. The POLS will do this by coordinating the internal processes for project sourcing, scoping and allocating, and utilising legal expertise within these processes and when providing external training and communications.

A key focus of this role is to source and scope out the weekly pro bono projects and forms. The POLS will also engage law firms and other legal stakeholders, conduct due diligence, allocate projects, maintain project records, gather feedback, prepare internal reports and external communications and undertake other administrative tasks as necessary (e.g. updating software and implementing process changes). Other key responsibilities include assisting the PBLM with any bespoke projects, assisting with training events for Development Partners on relevant legal topics, and engaging key Legal or Development Partners on any specific areas of legal interest or need.

We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Halsey House Care Home in Cromer, Norfolk.

We are a compassionate and resident-focused care home, providing high quality care in a warm and welcoming environment.

This is a full-time, permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week over 7 days to include some weekend cover.

As Head Chef, you will lead our catering team and ensure every resident enjoys nutritious and delicious meals.

Key responsibilities:

- Plan, prepare, and serve well balanced, nutritious meals to cater a variety of dietary needs within agreed standards and budgets
- Lead and manage catering staff and the dining supervisor, ensuring a positive and safe working environment
- Work alongside the General Manager, overseeing the department’s budget, ensure catering services meet the regulated requirements of current legislation, and develop detailed standard operating procedures
- Oversee food ordering, stock control, and kitchen budget management

What we’re looking for:

- City & Guilds 706 (1&2) in Food Preparation
- Level 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking, Culinary Arts, or equivalent and Level 3 First Aid at Work certification
- Proven experience catering for individuals with specific dietary needs (e.g., IDDSI texture modified diets and allergens)
- Experience working in a care home or similar setting
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
