We need a new Director of Communications. You’ll be responsible for helping us communicate the Gospel and the great work we do in our communities, and telling the good news stories that encourage and inspire us as we embark on our strategy to deliver the Diocesan vision to “bless the 1.5 million people” in our diocese who currently have no meaningful connection with our worshipping communities. We are looking for a Charity Shop Manager to cover shifts in both of the Harington Charity Shops in North London. The Charity Shop Manager (Cover) role, will be guaranteed 8.5 hours a week in our Hornsey charity shop. In addition to this there may be other variable hours over and above this, where they will be asked to provide cover when the Charity Shop Managers or Shop Assistants are on leave at either the Archway or Hornsey Charity Shops. The Role
As our Marketing Operations Officer your role will be to build brand awareness, helping to ensure the Yorkshire Cancer Research brand is accurately and consistently presented across all marketing touchpoints, including branded merchandise and printed collateral.

Manage the procurement of marketing products/services in line with the charity’s procurement processes/policies.

Be responsible for stock management for branded items/collateral across the charity.

Develop a preferred-supplier framework for marketing products/services in partnership with the Finance and Corporate Services department.

Manage the marketing budget for branded collateral and merchandise, ensuring team and charity processes are adhered to.

Lead the Photo Permissions Process on behalf of the marketing team and ensuring appropriate permissions are in place for all images used in the charity’s marketing, ensuring that permissions are recorded appropriately on the supporter database.

About the role:
In October 2023, the organisation began delivery of Year 1 of their West Midlands based Environmental Leadership Programme in partnership with the Shropshire Wildlife Trust. The role of the Participant Support and Delivery Officer is to work closely with the programmes delivery team across the partnership on the different stages of programme recruitment, delivery and implementation – all to ensure that participants have an excellent experience with us.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Supporting the recruitment and onboarding of Year 2 participants in the run-up to the programme starting in October 2024 and provide a friendly point of introduction for participants onto the programme. This will include travelling to support the delivery of in-person taster and recruitment activities.
- Supporting the participants and managing their experience before, during and after programmes. The project will engage existing landowners and managers across over 867 hectares of land in the Lower Chew, an area where good quality but fragmented woodland provides a basis for woodland connectivity and large-scale woodland creation, as part of a mosaic of grassland and woodland habitat. This locally-cherished landscape of rolling farmland on the edge of Bristol is the strategic setting for delivering local environmental and social priorities. Avon Needs Trees woodland projects include two Wiltshire Woodlands, the Great Avon Wood, Ed Woods, and the upcoming Lower Chew Forest.
Main responsibilities
● Join and help to lead our journey to discover the increased impact that private finance can bring to nature’s recovery
● Become our in-house expert on the local natural capital market and other forms of bringing private finance into nature’s recovery, including identifying and building relationships with potential future partners

Our Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme Service aligns with the Respect Standards – a framework for safe, effective, and survivor-focused work with perpetrators of domestic abuse in the UK. Due to specific requirements of the role (in line with Respect Standard B6) we are looking to recruit a male candidate to this post.
The Intervention Worker will be responsible for delivering sessions (group and one to one as may be required) with people who recognise that they are or have been using power and control to abuse their partner, ex-partner or family member and who want to address this behaviour. The Intervention Worker will undertake such sessions in a way that prioritises the safety of those at risk from domestic violence and abuse.
We are looking for someone who has experience of providing group work and/or one to one counselling and an understanding of:

Domestic violence and abuse and its effects on survivors

Why some people use abusive behaviours in relationships

The range of models used in addressing abusive behaviour

Safeguarding procedures in relation to children and vulnerable adults.

Role Details
Working hours: 18.5 hours per week
Working days: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
Working terms: Fixed term contract until 30/09/2025 with possible extension funding dependant
Salary: £26,671 per year pro rata
