Head of Fundraising & Communications

EDUCATION FOR ALL MOROCCO transforms the lives of marginalised girls, in the High Atlas mountains, enabling them to fulfil their potential, reducing social injustice and inequalities, improving the quality of life for women, and their communities.

Prior to the Al Haouz earthquake in September 2023 EFA funded six boarding houses, enabling young women to access senior school education. Five boarding houses were destroyed. Astonishingly, no girls or staff were in them at the time.

We are unashamedly ambitious to build on EFAs transformational work over the last two decades. Our Covid Recovery Strategy focussed on widening our impact, and the earthquake has just made us even more determined to deliver on our promise, because we have never been more relevant.

Due to the extraordinary generosity of donors, we have funding in place to support a major rebuilding programme. However we don't want to simply rebuild. Due to covid and the earthquake there is a lot of catching up to do.

As Head of Fundraising & Communications you will work with the trustees to deliver the strategic vision, by developing and implementing a  successful fundraising and communications strategy.  A new website is under construction and the successful applicant will play a leading role in determining its fundraising functionality, content, and messaging.

-     A confident understanding of relevant compliance legislation, and financial and budgetary management experience. 

In a typical month you’ll:

-Plan, execute, fundraising events and campaigns, attend conferences, develop compelling social media stories. 

-Undertake research, identify new funding opportunities, write donor proposals, complete donor grant applications.

-Liaise with Moroccan partners, co-ordinate marketing, and fundraising activities.

-Work with donors, developing a range of benefits, events, and engagement opportunities.

-Working with trustees, prepare a monthly update report.

-Manage administrative and compliance tasks including a budget, logging donor communications into the database etc. 

-Evaluate the impact and update policies and procedures.

Position: Head of Fundraising & Communications

Responsible: to Deputy Chair Finance Committee

Location:  remote, withoccasional meetings in London. An annual strategy weekend in Marrakech in November. 

Hours: 35 hrs per week (compressed).

Salary: £40,000 £42,000 per annum.

Grants and Trust Fundraiser

The Role

You will be instrumental in securing the funding, which the organisation needs to continue to deliver and develop its services, across a wide range of functions and projects. You will be an entrepreneurial, knowledgeable fundraiser, adept at finding the right opportunities to fit the right projects. You will also be meticulous and organised in your approach to stewardship, maintaining contact with funders and working with colleagues to collate the information needed for reporting.

The fundraising strategy contains plans to further develop specific areas of fundraising such as individual giving, corporate partnerships and legacies, and you may be called upon to support the Head of Fundraising in putting plans together for the implementation of these, working alongside the Senior Administrator (Fundraising and Communications).

About You

You will have experience in a fundraising, philanthropy or relationship management role and a track record of success in securing at least five-figure donations from grant and trust funders.

You will have:

· Knowledge of digital fundraising approaches

· Outstanding writing and communication skills

· The ability to understand financial language and budgets

· Strong research and prospecting skills

· The capacity to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally

· Experience of measuring impact and delivering evaluation reports

Role Overview:

Species Recovery Partnership Manager - Northern Ireland (Fixed-Term)

Rethink Nature is a partnership of seven leading species conservation organisations whose aim is ‘to combine their extensive knowledge and experience to catalyse the action that species need across the four nations of the UK’.  We have received funding from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to set up a Species Recovery Partnership for NI to strengthen and build the Rethink partnership in NI, and work with government, other eNGOs and key stakeholders to better deliver key outcomes for species. You will work on behalf of the Partnership but be managed by the Head of Species at RSPB NI, and will be responsible for managing the Partnership Administrator. You will also work closely with Rethink Nature UK's Species Advocacy Lead. The role holder can be based anywhere in the UK but will be expected to travel to Northern Ireland (Belfast) approximately once every two months.

What's the role about?

We are looking for a highly organised and passionate individual with a good working knowledge of priority species in NI, the mechanisms needed to deliver for them, and the ability to bring stakeholders together. You will be responsible for managing the project to sure that that the following key outcomes are delivered within budget and on time.

• A set of Species Recovery Principles for NI
• A cross-taxa list of highest priority species for NI and concise species action plans (cSAPs) for these species
• A 3-day facilitated workshop to agree on the prioritised list and how the cSAPs and the bid will be developed.
• A NI Species bid, similar to those in GB (Species on the Edge, Back from the Brink, Natur Am Byth), to deliver the critical actions outlined in the cSAPs. This would form the basis of a bid to NLHF for development and delivery funding for a NI species bid.
• A document outlining the key policy and legislative changes needed to deliver for species in Northern Ireland and associated advocacy to ensure it gains attention and influences change.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Demonstrable experience of developing and working in partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
• Demonstrable leadership ability, able to lead without line management authority
• Organising meetings, facilitated workshops and events
• Excellent written, spoken communication and presentation skills for a wide variety of audiences
• Competent IT user (e.g. MS packages, Outlook etc)

About the role:
 

The Philanthropy & Events Executive will support our Philanthropy Lead and Managing Director to effectively manage existing match funding partner (“Champion”)  relationships, and help to develop new Champion relationships. You will support with Champion onboarding, stewarding and reporting as well as research, prospecting, and business development activities.  You will also manage events for high-value supporters, and play a key role in helping us grow the number of Champions through our events, such as our annual Big Give Christmas Party and Philanthropy Lunches. 

About you:

You will be an organised self-starter with exceptional personal and communication skills. As a “tech first” organisation, we’re looking for someone with exceptional digital skills, experience in data administration and management and able to collate, segment and analyse donor information.  You will also have experience with CRM systems (experience using Salesforce would be advantageous) and processes to help manage the journey of our match funding partners (“Champions “). An understanding of the UK charity and philanthropy sector would be helpful.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Communications INC’s Delivery Coordinator is a dynamic and creative professional with great organisational skills. The role holder demonstrates expertise in project management, balancing tight deadlines and budgets to produce high quality materials for a wide portfolio of clients. 
The role holder works closely with their Delivery team colleagues and Account Managers to create materials that advance a portfolio of clients, projects and campaigns’ communications efforts. 
Alongside the Production Manager, the Delivery Coordinator drives forward production of innovative, attention grabbing written and visual content for print and digital applications and is a champion for enhancing systems and processes within the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production
- Coordination of end-to-end production processes for campaign materials, including videos, graphics, and print collateral.
- Support the liaison with external vendors, printers, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating new suppliers aligned with the Communications INC's values and the values of environmental and social responsibility.
- Contribute to the request for estimates from sustainable suppliers, aligning with project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate client requests for media and OOH advertising, liaising with designers, advertising agencies and the client as needed.
- Produce and manage production briefs, timeline and budgets as required.
- Source high-quality images for campaigns while adhering to copyright and licensing regulations.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of licensed images and provide proper documentation for usage rights.
- Manage and organise a centralised filing system for final product files, ensuring easy accessibility and version control.
- Support team with proofreading requests.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail across all deliverables, ensuring delivery of the highest quality materials.

Creative
- Basic design and layout for assets such as event invites, save the dates, social tiles, factsheets, business cards, PPT decks.

Digital
- Support the coordination of digital asset management and distribution for campaign content across various online platforms, optimising for different channels.
- Maintain clients' websites to ensure they are kept up to date with the latest content,news stories, and blogs using CMS platforms. Serves as main content uploader to clients’ websites, ensuring accuracy, consistency and adherence to brand guidelines and SEO best practices.
- Assist with the coordination of email newsletters using CRM platforms as needed.
- Collaborate with senior team members, web developers, and designers in the planning, execution, and maintenance of web design and development projects.
- Work with creative teams to provide support in creating visually compelling content for events.

General delivery duties
- Collaborate with virtual, cross-functional teams to accomplish organisational, project and campaign objectives.
- Proactively contribute to campaign logistics and general administration.
- Provide input into overall delivery strategies.

About the PVRI
We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) - a serious condition that can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting, and light-headedness. PVD can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood.

Our aim is to improve clinical care, education, and PVD research. To do this, we bring together an international network of thousands of clinicians, scientists, academics, and industry partners supported by our small team based in Bermondsey, London. Together, we deliver conferences, e-learning, and an academic journal, raise awareness of PVD, and encourage collaboration in research.

About the role
We are seeking a Marketing Officer to help grow and service the charity's international membership, increase the value of our membership offer, increase our income, and deliver our e-learning programmes. You’ll help ensure our members are informed about the latest developments and learning opportunities, and they’re valued for their contributions to the PVRI. No two days are the same. One day, you might be writing content for our website and social media channels, and the next, you might be welcoming respected speakers and attendees from over 30 countries to our scientific webinar.

We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. You’ll need to create successful marketing plans and grow our membership. You will also bring excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate high-quality webinars.

You will be joining us as a very exciting time as we look to increase our corporate members by 50%. You will be working closely with the corporate membership committee and CEO to facilitate the recruitment of new members and manage the relationship with existing members.

• Conduct all the administration for the ongoing BGM entry and judging process.
• To manage relationships with existing holders and recruit new holders
• To ensure all application and re-inspection fees are paid
