Save the Children UK has an exciting opportunity as a Communications and Influencing Officer (Part-time/2 days a week) for our work in England. We are looking for a skilled communicator and project manager to make people listen to the stories of children and communities growing up in poverty in the UK and want to make change alongside them. You'll be driven by co-production, can make the complex simple, and know how to get straight to the heart of the matter, bringing people with you.

You'll work with teams and communities across England who are working for change on a local, regional and national basis, through both practice and policy. You'll make sure that we're communicating ambition and impact, showcasing the power of community driven change. Your expertise will ensure that others are with us, with a particular focus on funders and policy makers.

About the role

As Communications and Influencing Officer you will provide communications, influencing and project support to the England and Westminster team, ensuring that our work is communicated appropriately across a variety of platforms and that people inside and outside the organisation get to hear about it.

We are looking for someone to work in this position Part-time/2 days a week (job-sharing with a colleague who works 3 days a week). We're particularly looking for someone with a strong communications skillset to complement the influencing skillset in the current postholder.

You will work closely with a range of colleagues across the team and associated select Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) to contribute to ensuring consistent and effective messaging and communications, both directly leading strands of work and supporting others.  You will support our work in engaging stakeholders, fundraising & awareness efforts in line with our England and Westminster strategy, our UK Collective Impact ambitions, and our organisational brand. You'll also play a part in ensuring consistency in our approaches to knowledge management and project management across select MDTs, providing project management and project support as required. 

In addition to travel for some person internal or external meetings, this role will also be required some travel to community partnerships in South Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and in London, especially around events and content gathering.

In this role, you will: 

• Support research activities for our influencing work, particularly participatory work, working closely with colleagues

• Support the development and delivery of campaigns that mobilise supporters to take influencing actions and contribute to policy change, for example, creating, developing and maintaining campaign websites, working on MP actions, supporting stunts or events. 

• Plan and deliver communications in line with strategy and objectives, ensuring alignment, effectiveness, and brand consistency. 

• Work with colleagues to create materials that 'Tell our Story', such as cases for support, case studies, stories, funder reports, fundraising materials, impact reports, and presentations, to effectively communicate our mission and achievements. Develop compelling content for various channels to engage and inform audiences, both internal and external

• Work collaboratively with partners to develop, coordinate and implement shared messages that support and reflect our collective goals

• Support colleagues to develop content and materials to showcase impact

• Apply good project management practices and provide finance & administration support across the team.

The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is seeking an Assistant Content and Engagement Officer who will play an essential role in helping the organisation build our relationship with our members through the creation of content and resources.

The role

The Assistant Content and Engagement Officer plays a vital role in supporting the RCSLT by assisting with the production of top-quality content, tailored resources and information across print and digital channels.

In this role, you’ll use your strong editorial and organisational skills to help produce our award-winning members’ magazine, Bulletin, as well as other member communications, such as our fortnightly e-newsletter and our online blog, SLT Voices. You will manage our magazine peer review group and collaborate with internal experts. You’ll also contribute to supporting the wider content team and colleagues across the RCSLT with your expertise in content, editorial processes and brand guidelines.

You’ll take the lead in coordinating production workflows and providing essential editorial support to a small creative team. Your attention to detail and excellent writing skills will be key when proofreading, editing or creating content, whether for print, social media, our website, or communications campaigns. Above all, you’ll help ensure our content is consistently high quality, engaging and valuable to our members.

Location: Office-based (with hybrid working) or remote.

The ideal candidate will have experience using editorial style guides and brand guidelines, writing and editing content for diverse audiences, and managing processes to meet deadlines. Key skills include editorial precision, the ability to prioritise under pressure and a willingness to learn and use tools like CMS, CRM and task management systems. The successful candidate will work as part of a team developing and delivering fundraising and marketing projects, campaigns, and tasks to achieve income targets; and within the team will lead on supporting and growing individual and community based fundraising initiatives.

About the role:

This role is based in London with Hybrid working.

As a Senior IDVA you will be:

• The main purpose of the job is to effectively manage and develop a high quality, innovative and pro-active domestic abuse service for victims and their children, including those at highest risk. Also you will need to ensure that the service prioritises the safety, security and dignity of service users and their children.
• The job would also include you being lead in crisis situations and to provide advice and guidance on safeguarding issues and information sharing concern
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
• Develop your team and address their individual development/performance needs, set individual and team objectives and undertake annual appraisals.

You will need:

• To be successful in this role, you will need to have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact on victims and their children, and the legal and practical remedies available to these clients.
• Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding practice and legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding and risk assessments.
• Experience managing the delivery of domestic abuse services and managerial experience will also be necessary as well as having a thorough understanding of IDVA work.
• A proven ability to confidently use various IT systems including Case Management, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Outlook and other online applications/platforms.
• You would also need to hold a SafeLives IDVA training certificate, a relevant degree, a vocational qualification or have equivalent experience.
• An enhanced criminal record check and police vetting is required for this role.

We are now seeking to recruit a Membership Coordinator on a contract basis to support at a busy time of growth. The role holder will work within the Membership Team, responsible for the philanthropic income from Friends and Patrons, and undertake the efficient administration of the membership programme whilst providing first-class customer service to keep our Friends and Patrons engaged and valued.

This role will suit a candidate who has strong experience in a customer-facing environment (ideally in a membership organisation and/or box office) and is able to use diplomacy in dealing with a variety of different customer groups. Greenhouse Sports is on a mission to change the lives of young people in poverty through the power of sport and mentoring.

Too many young people are being left behind. It’s not because they lack potential, but because poverty stacks the odds against them, affecting their education, mental health, and their future.

Our full-time Coach-Mentors work daily in schools in high-deprivation areas, significantly improving attendance, behaviour, wellbeing and life skills. Our Greenhouse Centre (re-opening in Autumn 2025 following refurbishment) provides year-round sport, mentoring and outreach for young people and communities who need it most.

The Deputy Director of Fundraising is a new role, as we work towards a step-change in income growth. The team currently generates £4m annually from major donors, trusts, institutions and businesses, plus an impressive array of special events raising an additional £1m per year. We know there is potential for more, and this role will drive forward a new strategy to help even more young people have a fair chance in life.

The role will report to the Director of Fundraising and Communications and will lead a team of 13 (with direct line management of 5).

• Lead the fundraising strategy for income growth.
• Oversee all high-value fundraising streams generating £6m+ annually, ensuring cross-channel opportunities are maximised.

About the role
 
As Head of Communications and Influence, you will lead the development and delivery of LUU’s communications and influence strategy that enables their vision and strategic priorities. You will be responsible for shaping how LUU communicates with students and external stakeholders, ensuring that their messaging is clear, consistent, and impactful across all channels.
 
Working closely with other senior leaders, you will provide expert guidance on external communication strategies, manage media relations, and protect and enhance the organisation’s reputation and brand. You will lead a dedicated team to ensure that communications are evidence-led, audience-focused, and aligned with LUU’s values and goals.
 
This is a strategic and hands-on role that will require a proactive and collaborative approach.

About the role

Our Lancashire Infant Feeding Support project is commissioned by Lancashire Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.

You will be responsible for offering breastfeeding support for parents within East Lancashire Hospital Trust and the community.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Providing Infant feeding support to families on the wards at the hospitals, in service user homes and community settings within Lancashire.
• Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters.
• To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.
• To attend regular supervision/support sessions.
• Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Lancashire area and ensuring all support is accessible and inclusive.
• Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.

You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail. It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires breastfeeding experience of at least 3 months. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.

The role is 17.5 hours per week which will be worked Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 09:00 – 15:00. This will be split across the hospital, in service user homes and at community settings across Lancashire, however there is also some home-based working required.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Manage the day to day import of supporter data from external sources into the organisation’s CRM (Raiser's Edge), ensuring timely and accurate data processing
• Contribute to the delivery of high quality data services by preparing and executing data checks, addressing quality issues, and maintaining compliance with GDPR and internal policies
• Support the development and maintenance of data import routines
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand their data needs and provide efficient, user-focused support

• Prior experience working within a charity or not-for-profit environment
