About the role

Are you an experienced administrator with a passion for supporting educational leadership? We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and highly organised Coordinator to join our Leadership Faculty. In this pivotal role, you’ll coordinate the delivery and operations of our leadership programmes - including the School Trust CEO Programme and NPQs - across multiple regions.

We are seeking a candidate with strong administrative experience, particularly in coordinating events and managing processes that drive successful programme delivery. You will be highly proficient in MS Office software packages - including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook - as well as online databases and search engines. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, alongside outstanding interpersonal and written communication abilities.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and solutions-focused, able to adapt their communication style to suit different audiences. A commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching and a genuine interest in the education sector are vital, as is a belief in the value of developing teachers and school leaders.

The role is based at either our Birmingham (B15 2HU) , Blackburn (BB1 2HT) or Doncaster (DN6 7E) campus locations, so you should be within commutable distance of one of these. The role is predominantly hybrid with the need to be on site at least once a fortnight. The role will, on occasion, be required to travel to other sites across the country and travel expenses will be paid.

The Volunteer Management team is responsible for embedding an organisational approach to volunteer engagement which enables volunteers to feel inspired, valued, supported, and connected to the charity, where they are a vital part of our community.

The Volunteer Coordinator plays a significant part in contributing to the success of the team in coordinating key parts of the ‘volunteer journey’ (recruiting, induction, training, supporting, and retaining volunteers). Of equal importance is influencing colleagues and providing advice and guidance whilst building collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders. The role is vital to establishing good practice in volunteer involvement, developing a culture of positive engagement and raising the profile of volunteering internally and externally.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract

Key Responsibilities:

Relationships, teamwork and collaboration

· Build strong relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders across the charity to identify and implement ways to enrich the volunteer experience, maximise the volunteer opportunities and strengthen the volunteer infrastructure.

· Work collaboratively with teams that manage volunteers to provide good practice advice and guidance on effective volunteer supervision.

· Promote a positive culture of engagement that values, embeds, and promotes the work of volunteers both internally and externally.

· Take a proactive approach to understand external events and initiatives taking place across the charity, providing advice, guidance and support on the requirements for successful volunteer involvement.

Communication, resources and training

· In conjunction with the Volunteer Manager, coordinate the review, development and implementation of robust practices and procedures associated with all aspects of the volunteer journey.

· Working collaboratively with teams that manage volunteers, support with the development and implementation of volunteer training and associated resources.

· Lead on the upkeep of volunteering information on internal communication channels, ensuring all relevant policies, reference materials and documents are made available and kept up to date.

· Contribute to the production and distribution of resources for volunteer-involving events, including, but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, and training materials.

Administration, customer service and delivery

· Provide high-level customer service throughout the volunteer journey; contributing to recruitment, induction, training, support, retention and exit of volunteers in line with our values and strategy.

· Acting as a key point of contact for the import, maintenance and integrity of volunteering data, working with colleagues to ensure accuracy, validity and reliability that reflects volunteer contribution and delivers reliable insights.

· Coordinate the administration volunteer recruitment and selection process to foster an environment that promotes equality, diversity and inclusivity and ensure a fair and consistent approach is followed.

· Act as the first port of contact for internal and external enquiries, coordinating the shared volunteer email inbox.

· Lead and support the effective delivery of volunteer involving activities at weekend events, where necessary. 

What we are looking for:

· Strong understanding of the principles and good practice of successful volunteer involvement including recruitment, selection, induction, training, support, recognition, and retention.

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

This brand-new role is all about turning ideas into action. As our Strategic Projects Coordinator, you’ll be the driving force behind the successful delivery of high-impact projects and campaigns led by our elected Sabbatical Officers. Purpose of Post: The Events Coordinator will help to plan, promote and deliver a diverse programme of online and in-person events that reflect the organisation’s mission to support, empower and amplify the voices of people with lived experience of mental illness. These will include outreach sessions, campaigning events, open forums, creative workshops, community engagement activities, fundraising events, awareness days and partnership events.

The post-holder will ensure all events are accessible, inclusive, trauma-informed and well-organised, working closely with the Engagement & Campaigns Manager, project teams, volunteers and external partners.

Given the collaborative and engagement-focused nature of this role, and its direct delivery responsibilities, regular face-to-face working is required, with the post-holder based primarily in the office and attending events and community activities as needed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Planning and Coordination

• Develop and maintain an annual events calendar covering outreach, campaigns, creative sessions, open forums, workshops and fundraising (both online and in-person).
• Lead on the end-to-end planning of online and in-person events including aims, audience, format, accessibility needs, timelines, budgets, venues, equipment and staffing.
• Prepare event plans, schedules, risk assessments and checklists to ensure smooth delivery.
• Liaise with venues, suppliers and partners to negotiate costs (ensuring value for money), confirm bookings and arrange logistics.

 Promotion and Communications

• Produce accessible event information and promotional materials, working with colleagues to ensure inclusive language, imagery and formats.
• Use social media, website updates, e-newsletters and community networks to publicise events.
• Maintain event booking systems (e.g. Eventbrite, online forms), manage attendee lists and respond promptly to enquiries.

Event Delivery

• Act as point of contact on the day of events, ensuring smooth set-up, running and pack-down (including seating, signage, technology and accessibility adjustments).

• Brief staff, volunteers and facilitators on their roles and responsibilities before and during events, to ensure clarity of roles.

• Greet attendees, speakers and partners; creating a warm, inclusive and trauma-sensitive environment.
• Monitor timing, technical requirements (e.g. microphones, presentations, online platforms if appropriate) and respond to any issues that arise calmly and adapt plans where needed.

Community Engagement and Stakeholder Support

• Build strong relationships with partner organisations, community groups, local charities, the council and health & social care stakeholders.
• Represent the organisation professionally at meetings, outreach events and networking opportunities as necessary.
• Support delivery of awareness campaigns, public consultations and community engagement activity.

Volunteer Coordination

• Support the recruitment, induction, supervision and recognition of event volunteers.
• Provide clear instructions and create a positive, supportive environment for volunteers.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting

• Collect and analyse event data, including attendance, demographics, costs, outcomes and feedback (e.g. surveys, informal feedback, Mentimeter)

Finance and Administration

• Work within agreed event budgets, tracking expenditure and income, and seeking value for money.

• Ensure all events comply with safeguarding, data protection, confidentiality and health & safety policies.
• Ensure events are inclusive of people from diverse backgrounds and are accessible to people with a range of mental health needs and disabilities.

‘Green Connections’ is an innovative project which supports older people in Crewe and Nantwich surrounding area to reconnect with nature in their yards and gardens, connect older and isolated individuals with wider support and local opportunities to help relieve social isolation and loneliness.  It also provides group delivery sessions around gardening based activities in care homes and community settings

This position involves actively engaging with people aged 50 plus who wish to connect to nature and learn more about their garden or gardening activities. You will be responsible for community engagement, organising resources, working with older people in their homes for tailored sessions and providing group delivery sessions in the community and care homes..

The Green Connections Coordinator role also involves actively engaging older people with services and support available, enhancing their quality of life. You will coordinate with other organisations and use their resources to secure additional support, always prioritising the consent and preferences of the clients. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals, offering vital support to those in need.

Main Duties:

· Support with teaching older people new gardening skills in attending to their planters and encourage new interests in wildlife and biodiversity.

· Promote and engage with the network of organisations that work with older people in and around Crewe and Nantwich to maintain and develop positive relationships and referral routes

· Update monitoring and evaluation systems to accurately record project outcomes and volunteer information.

· Be the first point of contact for the project and build relationships with individuals, local agencies and groups.

· Assess individuals and their circumstances to understand suitability for the project.

· Work with older individuals in choosing an offer to suit their lifestyle, needs and wishes.

· Be responsible for connecting people into local advice and support.

· Link isolated older people with volunteer support.

· Train and support a core local volunteer team in doing light maintenance and planting in group sessions, gardens, yards and raised planters.

· Assist the Service Manager in promoting/marketing the project.

· Experience of delivering community gardening or practical experience in environmental activities

This important role supports the operational delivery of the charity’s busy events programme and supports the team and running the office.

The events programme is diverse - from drinks receptions and report launches to events at agricultural shows across the UK - and support on administration for the wider charity, including some communications activity. Through these events, we drive awareness of our work supporting family farms and rural communities. In doing so we also garner support from funders to tackle the issues facing the countryside, ensuring our work reaches a diverse audience to raise awareness.

Under the direction of the Head of External Affairs, and with support of the wider staff team, you will be responsible for coordinating and running all the charity’s events, including full administrative support, booking venues, the invitation process and guest lists, organisation of collateral (including marketing and promotional information), catering arrangements and researching and inviting speakers. You will be also ensuring effective follow-up to each event such as wider dissemination of event content, evaluation, and reporting.

Working on events will account for approximately 75% of the role. The remaining time will be spent working across the charity undertaking a variety of administrative tasks. This will include supporting the team with mailings, coordination of specific activities and some general office management. Whilst reporting to the Head of External Affairs, this role will work closely with several team members, particularly the Executive Support & Governance Manager, providing a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of different aspects of the charity’s work.

What we are looking for

This is an important role, and we’d like you to have a sound working knowledge of end-to-end event management and office experience within a charity or other professional environment.  To be successful you will be required to demonstrate a confident attitude supported by good written and verbal communication skills.  You must be comfortable using Microsoft office suite, events management platforms and our CRM system (currently Salesforce). You will be able to manage your time and prioritise your workload.  An ability to engage with a wide range of people is also advantageous. Most of all is the desire to provide first class customer service.

This position requires you to be a reliable individual with a detailed, methodical and organised approach who can work independently as well as part of a team. Job Purpose: 

The purpose of this role is to coordinate and support Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) across WAGGGS’ Learning and Leadership Development (LLD) portfolio and other global programmes, as needed. The role supports the development and implementation of organisational and programme-level MEL frameworks, systems and tools, and contributes to effective data collection, learning and reporting.

The MEL Coordinator collaborates with the organisational MEL Manager and wider MEL team to ensure alignment with organisational MEL approaches, standards and systems, while providing day-to-day MEL coordination and technical support to LLD teams and other programmes.

Key Responsibilities: 

Programme MEL 

1.  Development and delivery of MEL framework & system for LLD, and other WAGGGS delivery areas, in alignment with organisational MEL standards.

2. Support the integration and consistent use of MEL methodologies across teams and volunteer-led activities, contributing to a shared approach to evidence and learning. 

3. Consolidate, analyse and synthesise evidence from young women, volunteers, Member Organisations, and staff to support programme learning, adaptation and reporting. 

4. Provide technical support and guidance on all related MEL activities.

Organisational MEL  

1. Contribute to the testing, design, and finalization of a WAGGGS’ organisation-wide Theory of Change, providing technical input and coordinating inputs from teams during the final development phase. 

2. Support the coordination and operationalisation of organisational MEL framework, tools, systems, and reporting processes, in collaboration with the organisational MEL Manager and wider MEL team.

3. Coordinate and support MEL capacity strengthening activities across teams, including guidance, training and troubleshooting, as appropriate. 

4. Support integration of learning and reflection practices into organisational planning, reporting, and reviewing processes.

This role covers two areas of ministry helping to fulfil the overall mission of London Riverside Church (LRC):

• To coordinate the existing Community Action ministries and projects of LRC.

• To oversee three annual events in the LRC church calendar.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

COMMUNITY ACTION COORDINATOR

• Lead the LRC Community Action Steering Team.

• Coordinate and develop Community Action projects and events.

• Provide oversight for and develop ministry/ project leaders.

EVENT LEAD

• Planning & oversight of three annual events in the LRC church calendar (Easter, Christmas, Party in the Park).

• Liaising with and coordinating the various ministries and teams involved (Comms, Creative, Operations, Catering, etc.).

• Point-person on day of event.

Holborn Venues are looking for a full time Events Co-ordinator to join a small team running a wide-ranging events programme within a unique listed building in Central London. The role is varied and includes setting up events spaces, liaising with customers and creating social media content. Evening and weekend work required on a rota basis.

About the role

We are currently looking for an impassioned and self-driven individual to join our activities team to deliver exceptional service to our students, through engaging with the 350+ student groups, which deliver an incredible range of world-class opportunities to their members.

You will act as the first point of contact for student-led groups and will drive improvements of activities and events including administering risk management, facilities, finance, training, and a wide range of administrative processes. A significant part of the post includes supporting the safe delivery of activities through risk management steps and working within our sports partnership to ensure Imperial Athletes sporting activities are safe. You will develop strong communities and networks within the university and maintain key working relationships.

The role sits within the Directorate of Membership Services and the post will have a cross-departmental focus to ensure our training package, volunteer support and all processes are equitable and effective for all student groups.

What you would be doing

The Student Activities Coordinator (Events) is tasked with coordinating the delivery and development of events run by student-led groups.

The role is responsible for ensuring that student volunteers are able to deliver their activities and events safely, and ensure students have a high-quality service and experience on their journey as a volunteer.

The role is responsible for supporting the:

• delivery of student-led groups, tours / trips, and activities
• Development and Support for groups in relation to events and activity

Alongside the Activities Manager, elected Officer Trustees, and the wider activities team, the role will support the delivering of a high-quality support service for student-led groups.

The successful candidate will be committed to using their skills and knowledge to empower student-group leaders and will have personal experience of higher education. The role will require excellent administration and organisational skills, a methodical approach to managing information and sophisticated interpersonal skills. Ideally you will have experience with event and trip administration, providing exceptional customer care and working with and training volunteers. You will be able to operate with autonomy as well as be able to balance competing priorities.
