What we're building
Level Water exists to solve a problem that shouldn’t exist: too many disabled children are still missing out on high-quality swimming lessons.
Last year, our swimmers raised over £1m. This year we’ve sold out events in minutes and want to double the fundraising. We’re on the path to exponential growth and we need someone who can help us get there.
We're Level Water, a founder-led charity solving learn-to-swim for disabled children. We're not your typical charity. We own our events and run them like a business. We move fast, test everything, and we're building something that doesn't exist anywhere else. Our events are uniquely profitable, and we reinvest in quality and growth.
We've just brought in a new Fundraising Director, and this Marketing role is a cornerstone of the team we're building. If you want to help define how a modern charity grows and does marketing, this is your chance.
The opportunity
This isn't a "post on social and send a newsletter" role. This is a “build something exceptional, then grow it” role. Marketing is at the heart of our flywheel, which means you’ll be integral to everything we are doing at Level Water.
You'll own marketing strategy and execution across our entire operation: our iconic events, our life-changing swimming programmes, and our reputation as a charity. You'll drive growth, tell stories that matter, and build genuine communities that scale.
You'll have the freedom to experiment. Want to test a new channel? Launch a content series? Build a creator programme? Run paid campaigns that actually convert? Brilliant. Build the business case and let's do it.
You'll work with real impact. Children with disabilities are learning to swim because of us. Families are transformed by our lessons. Volunteers and incredible teachers make it happen. These are stories that deserve to be told brilliantly, and you'll be the one telling them.
This role is 80% growth and 20% impact storytelling, but the two are inseparable. We’re product-led and we launch and test often. Great stories fuel growth. Growth creates more stories. You'll understand that tension and thrive in it.
You'll work closely with our Fundraising Director and CEO to scale marketing as our most powerful growth lever. You'll also manage a network of brilliant freelancers (photographers, videographers, copywriters, designers) to help you execute at the highest level.
And you'll grow with us. We're scaling fast, and we need people who can scale with us.
This is a mission-critical role in driving Level Water's growth. Every event you sell out, every story you tell, every audience you build helps unlock more funded swimming lessons, bringing us closer to a future where every disabled child can have a great swimming lesson with a confident, qualified teacher.
Marketing at Level Water isn’t just about selling events - it’s a core delivery mechanism in our Theory of Change. This role exists to move the levers that unlock more lessons, faster progression, stronger outcomes, and a sustainable income engine that funds it all.

What you'll actually do
This role owns marketing as a growth engine. You'll set strategy, drive execution across multiple channels, and be accountable for how marketing translates into event sign-ups, fundraising growth, profile, and impact. You'll work closely with the Fundraising Director to shape priorities, influence decisions, and build something that scales.
Drive growth marketing that converts

Own end-to-end marketing for our events portfolio: from launch campaigns to sell-out.

Build and execute multi-channel campaigns across social, email, paid ads, PR, partnerships, and whatever else works.

Test everything. Audiences, messages, creative, channels. Find what works, double down, and scale it.

Use data to spot opportunities: which channels are converting? Where are we leaving growth on the table? What could we do differently?

Manage our digital advertising and paid social strategy with a ruthless focus on ROI.

Grow our email database and social audiences with intent, not just for vanity metrics.

Be trusted to repeatedly turn £1 into £5 or £10.

Define and unleash our audiences: help them share their stories in a way that turns experiences into future sales, and makes everything that Level Water does easier.

Build and manage our captain and ambassador programmes as genuine growth engines - nurturing relationships, setting expectations, and turning influence into measurable impact.

Proactively convert interest into action. This includes direct outreach (e.g. picking up the phone to captains, engaging top fundraisers, activating ambassadors) to ensure intent turns into ticket sales and fundraising.
Tell stories that build belief

Find, shape, and share the stories that show our impact: the children, the families, the teachers, the moments that matter.

Build and curate a library of content (video, photography, case studies, testimonials) that we can use everywhere.

Work with freelance photographers and videographers to capture our events and programmes at their best.

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Service Manager to join our service based in Southwark. The service is a short-term (up to two years) supported living service for people who have an enduring mental health diagnosis and who require and can benefit from, the help and support offered. It consists of 14 self-contained flats and one crisis room for adult men with medium to high-level support needs who require 24-hour supported accommodation, helping them to continue to live in the community and to reduce the risk of admission to hospital.
In this role, you will support in leading the team by providing overall leadership to the service and line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower your team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will also support with some day to day responsibilities of the team such as providing tailored support to our residents directly. As a Manager, you will support in driving service outcomes in line with contractual requirements, ensuring quality and consistency within a trauma and psychologically informed environment. You will ensure the service runs smoothly in collaboration with the team, wider teams, and external partners. We're looking for someone who is solution focused, has experience within a similar service environment, and can create a safe space for individuals to learn, and grow.
You will support us continue to work in a trauma informed way, and create a psychologically informed environment, which supports us in creating a safe, respectful, and responsive environment which puts our people and communities at the forefront. Key Responsibilities Include:

About You

- Ability to provide advice, guidance, and support to the team on all aspects of service delivery including resident related queries

- IT proficiency - we use various systems so look for someone who can learn and navigate new systems including case management, Microsoft, ATS, HR systems, and other types of organisational software

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Concierge to join our team based in RBKC to support our residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You’ll help create a safe, welcoming and well run environment, offering reassurance and practical support to residents when they need it most. This role is key to keeping our building, residents and service secure and responsive. You’ll do regular safety checks, monitor access, respond to emergencies, support residents with queries, keep records, and hand over to the team. You’ll also help maintain a clean and safe environment.
Some Key Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring our buildings are safe by monitoring, completing welfare checks and responding affectively and appropriately to emergencies
- Maintaining professionalism and kindness with residents and visitors, attending to calls, managing deliveries and ensuring great communication with the team in line with policies and procedures.
- Provide a daily report on resident activity, AINMs, safeguarding and concerns for handovers.
- Working with the wider team to make sure any urgent issues are picked up and followed through
- Remain alert and monitor CCTV throughout the shift.
- Adapting to service needs to support risk assessments, safeguarding checks, and service standards
- Supporting residents to build confidence and independence, contributing to a psychologically informed space where everyone is treated with respect and dignity
- Noticing when someone might be struggling with their physical or mental health, and taking prompt action to prevent escalation
- Helping to keep the environment clean and welcoming from tidying communal spaces to reporting repairs and completing admin tasks accurately and sensitively
- Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for colleagues for a seamless service.
- Other duties include maintaining cleanliness, removing rubbish, reporting repairs, ordering supplies, and general tasks.

Core responsibilities within the role will be:
- Audit historic accounts, structure, tracking and performance to determine which to reactivate, and what to rebuild or add
- Create a relaunch plan covering budgets, targeting, creative assets and measurement
- Rebuild and optimise campaigns across Google Search (paid and Grants Pro), PMAX and Microsoft Ads. Set and manage budgets, identify new opportunities, and run continuous A/B tests on ads, assets and landing pages

- Re-establish an always-on, profitable programme with clear reporting to the Marketing Manager and support the wider marketing campaigns with search and PMAX activity
- Own and lead on continuous CRO of donation and campaign landing pages - including prioritised test backlog, hypotheses, wireframes, copy, QA and implementation with designers and developers - to improve performance of paid and organic traffic
- Undertake AB and multivariate testing including running experiments on landing pages, CTAs and forms to improve conversion rates
- Assist with ensuring clean tracking across the digital marketing, including responsibility for query strings
- Monitor KPIs including bounce rate, time on site, conversion rate, and ROI using tools such as Google Analytics, GA4, and Hotjar
- Provide UX insights across heatmaps, session recordings, and user feedback to inform design and content changes
- Produce regular reporting and insights for the Marketing Manager
We'd love to hear from you if you're a Paid Search Freelancer, or broader digital marketing Freelancer with expertise in the following:
- Substantial hands-on management, optimisation and reporting across Google Ads (paid and Ad Grants) and Microsoft Ads including Search and PMAX
- Organic traffic SEO experience including keyword research, On-Page SEO (Optimise meta tags, headings, content structure, and internal linking) using search console and SEMrush
- Demonstrable experience in website conversion analysis and page optimisation for landing pages in a non-profit organisation
- Experience with conversion funnel analysis - identifying drop-off points and optimising user journeys across devices.
- Strong experience in GA4 and platform dashboards

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Including one Saturday each month) on a rolling rota including 07:30 - 15:30, 09:00 - 17:00 and 11:30 - 19:30. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and resident requirements including weekends and bank holidays.
About the Role
We're hiring a Support Mentor to join our women's service based in West London. In this role, you will support residents whom reside within our refuge accommodation which includes women and children surviving domestic abuse many of whom are living with trauma. We are looking for someone who really cares about the rights of women and their children to join our service in West London.
As a Support Mentor, you will support in providing a much needed safe space and support for women, for them to feel empowered in their healing journey and feel secure in their independence, strengths, and skills. You will work alongside various stakeholders and partners and engage with our residents through various key working activities to identify the needs, goals and skills, then provide pathways, support, and appropriate interventions to support with successful outcomes. We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to lead this service in a trauma informed and inclusive way.
Some Key Responsibilities Include:
- Support women and children who may be facing challenges with surviving domestic abuse many of whom are living with trauma.
- Create tailored support plans through one to one sessions, group sessions, and multi agency meetings
- Support residents to achieve their desired goals/outcomes in various ways
- Empower residents to make decisions to take control over their lives, by creating an enabling environment.
- Supporting residents to build independence and progress in their healing through engaging activities, from movie nights and arts and crafts to brunch club and fully funded day trips.
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies
- Work closely with the rest of the team to provide overall excellent service delivery, this may mean also supporting with their caseloads, and other tasks as necessary
- Keep support plans updated on our online portals as appropriate
- Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health, physical health, or other health implications and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crisis or other risks.
About You
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Mentor to join our team based in West London who understands the needs of our residents including particularly around multiple and complex needs, including safety, emotional support, healing from trauma, independence and access to resources to achieve their goals. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values.
You will be keen to support our residents to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves. Our Refuge works to support women with complex and enduring needs and women who experience domestic abuse to reclaim their power and find their voice. You will be keen to support our residents to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves and will work as part of a team to deliver exceptional support to women and children at a particularly challenging time in their lives.
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector, particularly around multiple and complex needs
- Experience working with, or a good understanding of, domestic abuse and the systemic barriers faced by women.
- Ability to show empathy and compassion to our residents, and different challenges they face
- Ability to engage with people from different backgrounds, build rapport, and empower them to achieve their personal goals
- Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
- Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
- Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders

The Deputy Service Manager will play a central role in the day-to-day leadership and development of Barnsley Street Project, a co-located pilot service operating with East London Foundation Trust (ELFT - NHS) and the Third Sector Mental Health Alliance partners. The service provides six hospitality beds for short-term stays and a drop-in service operating 8am-8pm for anybody in the community needing support with their mental health. This role is designed for a reflective, values-led manager who is comfortable working without fixed templates, and who can hold clinical, ethical, and organisational complexity.
Barnsley Street is intentionally experimental. It seeks to move away from coercive, compliance-driven models of mental health support and instead develop humane, relational, psychologically informed ways of working that prioritise choice, collaboration, dignity and proportionality in risk management. The Deputy Service Manager will work closely with the Service Manager to build, test and refine new processes in real time, while maintaining accountability, safety, and learning.
The post holder will provide operational leadership, line management and practice leadership to frontline staff. They will deputise for the Service Manager when required and act as a key interface between Look Ahead, ELFT and Third Sector colleagues, commissioners, and wider system partners.
Working pattern is 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility to support the supervision of Waking Night Support Workers.
What you'll do:
Practice & service leadership
* Provide day-to-day operational leadership of the service, supporting the development of a psychologically informed, anti-coercive and relational culture.
* Act as a visible practice leader, modelling curiosity, reflective thinking, and ethical decision-making in complex and uncertain situations.
* Work collaboratively with ELFT and Third Sector partners within the shared building, contributing to genuinely integrated ways of working.
* Support the development, testing and refinement of new ways of working, including alternatives to traditional risk assessment, escalation, and containment-focused responses.
* Hold and communicate the service's values and purpose, particularly when under pressure and scrutiny.
Risk, safeguarding & governance
* Lead a proportionate, relational and least-restrictive approach to risk, balancing safety with autonomy, dignity, and psychological safety.
* Support staff to think critically about risk management, encouraging a proportional response that puts the customer at the heart of the process.
* Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, held and responded to in line with statutory requirements, while maintaining a trauma-informed and non-punitive stance.
* Work alongside the Service Manager to ensure appropriate recording, learning, and reflective review of incidents, near-misses, and complexities.
* Contribute to a learning culture where mistakes, uncertainty, and anxiety can be thought about.
People management & staff development
* Provide direct line management, supervision, reflective space for Support Workers, Specialist Support Workers and Waking Night Support Workers.
* Deliver high-quality supervision that integrates performance, wellbeing, emotional impact, and practice reflection.
* Support staff to develop confidence in working relationally and tolerating uncertainty.
* Identify learning and development needs within the team and support progression, retention, and succession planning.
* Foster a culture of trust, shared responsibility, and mutual accountability, avoiding micromanagement while maintaining clear boundaries and expectations.
