About this Internship

The Youth Voice Development Officer is a 12-month internship starting in March 2026. It is part of the Rank Foundation’s Time 2 Shine Leadership programme, and the successful candidate will need to commit to attending a range of training events throughout the year which are delivered by the Rank Foundation. Travel and accommodation will be provided.

Main Purpose of this Role:

The role’s main purpose is to support the delivery and monitoring of Reaching Higher’s Youth Voice strategy by working closely with the Head of Contextual Youth Work (Community) and empowering young people to meaningfully shape and share their voices. This includes supporting young people to co-develop and co-deliver Youth Voice training for a range of stakeholders, preparing and accompanying them to facilitated meetings with key leaders across Croydon’s schools, statutory services and community organisations, and ensuring their perspectives are heard and valued. The role also involves planning and delivering regular training and development opportunities for Youth Board members, supporting youth-led events such as the annual community meal, and mentoring a small cohort of young people to build their confidence, skills and leadership capacity.

We are looking for a Community Fundraising Manager who will focus on leadership and net income growth of the Community Fundraising (CFR) team, who are based across the UK. The post holder will lead and manage the three regional engagement Officers, taking responsibility in actively supporting them to achieve in their posts. 

To succeed in the role, you will need entrepreneurial thinking as well as being able to collaborate with colleagues across the UK to ensure consistent support for staff and volunteers, ensuring our community fundraising activities are delivered well, in a timely manner whilst always being mindful of the return on investment.  The Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the delivery and growth of this area of fundraising and will be expected to meeting annual income targets and ensuring effective budget management.

RNRMC is the Navy’s principal charity which exists to support every sailor, marine and their families, for life. Experience and Background

You will have a minimum of three years’ experience in Community Fundraising or a similar fundraising role, with experience in leading geographically dispersed teams and driving sustainable income growth within a charity or nonprofit setting. You should have a strong track record in managing and developing staff, ideally having overseen regional or community-based officers, with the ability to motivate, coach, and support individuals to achieve fundraising goals. Experience in community fundraising is essential, including planning and delivering a portfolio of activities, nurturing supporter relationships, and ensuring volunteers receive consistent, high-quality support. The role also requires proven ability in budget management, forecasting, and meeting annual income targets.

Success in this role calls for an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset, capable of identifying new opportunities for income generation while ensuring strong return on investment. The post holder must be highly collaborative, able to work effectively with colleagues across regions to drive alignment and deliver well-coordinated campaigns. Strong organisational and project-management skills are key, enabling the manager to oversee multiple initiatives delivered on time and to a high standard. Ultimately, the role requires a confident leader who can balance creativity with operational excellence, ensuring the community fundraising programme continues to grow and deliver meaningful impact.

Hours of Work

Hours of work are 35 hours per week, 09:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday.

The Community Engagement Officer will play a pivotal role in delivering Alzheimer’s Research UK’s Dementia Community Champions (DCC) programme. Launched in 2022, the programme empowers volunteers to share dementia information within communities that are under-served in terms of access to health information and research, and at higher risk of being affected by dementia. The programme has to date focused on South Asian communities in Leicester, Nottingham, and Derby. In 2026, it will expand to include Black African and Black Caribbean communities in East London. As the programme continues to grow, the Officer will have significant scope to support, shape, and develop this important area of work.

Dementia Community Champions are volunteers trained by Alzheimer’s Research UK to deliver events in their communities to increase knowledge and understanding of dementia, brain health and dementia risk factors. They also emphasise the importance of taking part in research in their local communities.

They do this by:

- attending and completing training in dementia, risk factors, and dementia research run by the core ARUK team.

- holding events within their communities to share dementia information.

- sharing leaflets and other resources.

- speaking to local people about their experience of dementia and signposting them to appropriate information and opportunities.

This role will be known internally as Dementia Community Champion – FTC*

Key Responsibilities:

Day to day support of volunteers

· Assist in the recruitment and management of new DCC volunteers, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and volunteer journey.

· Act as a point of contact for DCC volunteers, providing guidance, support, and timely responses to their enquiries.

· Empower volunteers by helping them build skills and confidence to talk about dementia and dementia research, and to engage effectively with their audiences.

· Plan, facilitate, and deliver monthly online meetings. This includes coordinating with volunteers, arranging logistics, addressing queries, and liaising with internal stakeholders.

Comprehensive admin support

· Provide comprehensive administrative support for the programme, including assisting volunteers in organising and evaluating their events.

· Collect key metrics from the programme to monitor progress and evaluate activities.

· Maintain relevant files and documents, ensuring accurate recording of data and adherence to GDPR.

· Ensure activities comply with ARUK’s branding and style guide.

Support the delivery of Dementia Community Champions in underserved communities.

What we are looking for:

· Science graduate or equivalent level of education (biomedical or biological subject) or relevant work experience

· Experience of discussing health or research with the public.

· Experience of communicating complex health information in a simple and accessible way.

· Awareness of current topics in dementia and dementia research

· Demonstrated experience in providing comprehensive administrative support for programmes or initiatives.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a lively, dynamic and driven fundraising events team. Over the last decade, Breast Cancer Now has built up a strong events function, with community fundraising and events currently accounting for nearly a quarter of the charity’s overall voluntary income.

Due to internal promotions, we’re now looking for 2 new events officers to play a key role within the team. Managing the delivery of our varied portfolio of challenge events, currently comprising of running, cycling, swimming and trekking challenges and engagement events such as our Carols by Candlelight, supporter focussed events and key internal events too. You’ll be a supporter for hundreds of fundraisers, acting as a point of contact and an ambassador for the organisation to excite and retain our supporters.

Reporting to the Community and Events Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the fundraiser experience - from the moment they see an ad to the moment they cross the finish line.

• Championing the portfolio: You will take full ownership of our third-party challenge events, including managing our presence at major events like the London Marathon. 

• Recruiting our heroes: You will develop and execute creative marketing plans to recruit participants using social media, paid advertising, and by engaging with our public-facing centres, hospitals, and shops.

About you:  

This role requires a highly organised individual with a passion for fundraising. The ability to manage multiple projects whilst consistently meeting deadlines is essential. 

Experience in developing fundraising reports, managing income and expenditure budgets. Strong communication and a collaborative spirit are key, as is a creative mind for developing fundraising strategies. Flexibility for occasional travel and out of hours work is required. 

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience 

• Proven experience working in challenge event fundraising

• Demonstrable experience in researching, planning, delivering and evaluating a range of challenge event fundraising activities. 

• The ability to develop and deliver marketing plans to recruit third party challenge event participants through a variety of channels. 

• The ability to develop and execute an inspiring stewardship journey to maximise income generation.

• Experience of budget management including income and expenditure. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders (donors, sponsors, participants, volunteers, team members)

• Ability to lead on and manage a variety of projects with simultaneous priorities 

• A full driving licence is required

Desirable qualifications, skills, and experience 

• Experience in obtaining corporate sponsorship for challenge events

• Experience working with fundraising databases (D365) and MS office suite to manage donor data, create reports and communicate effectively

• A creative and innovative mind for developing marketing, stewardship and development strategies

We are looking for a proactive and people-focused Events and Fundraising Coordinator to support the delivery of our fundraising activity, events and supporter engagement programme.

You will support individual giving, community and challenge fundraising, and a programme of events that recognise and celebrate our supporters and pro bono partners.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Action for Stammering Children for a Deputy CEO who is interested in combining their fundraising expertise with a dynamic leadership role. This is an excellent role for someone with a fundraising background to assist the CEO in growing and diversifying the charity’s income streams and gaining experience in managing day-to-day operations.

The Deputy CEO will lead on implementation of the fundraising strategy and support the CEO in managing operational matters. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have experience in donor acquisition and Trust and Foundation fundraising.

This role will involve working closely with the CEO who sets the strategic direction, oversees and evaluates the charity’s activity portfolio, manages the charity’s partners, and represents the charity externally. A key priority for Action for Stammering Children is effectively demonstrating the impact of its work to beneficiaries, supporters and funders. We are therefore looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, passion for making a difference to children who stammer and their families, and experience of line management.

Reporting to Director, Supporter Engagement

We are seeking an enterprising, organised individual to join Akshaya Patra UK as our Supporter Engagement Officer. The role is a joyfully versatile one which requires planning, coordination, and a strong 'make it happen' attitude. As the first point of contact for supporters, community groups, and partners, the candidate will ensure every interaction, whether by phone, email, social media, or in-person, is positive, timely, and professional.

A key part of the role will be to build and grow volunteer chapters across the UK, developing local champions who increase awareness and funds for Akshaya Patra. Even as the candidate will invite new supporters to join our mission, managing supporter relationships with a defined portfolio of donors, monitoring income, and contributing to data analysis related to supporter engagement and projects is a key part of the role. In addition, maintaining the inventory of supporter engagement tools and merchandise, ensuring materials are organised, available, and effectively used to inspire supporters.

Knowledge of British culture and geography is welcome, while familiarity with India, its regions, and Indian languages is an added advantage. You will attend meetings and events in London and other parts of the UK as required, with the flexibility to work remotely at other times. The role will play an important part in shaping our future plans and helping us grow our income and impact in the years ahead.
