Main Purpose Of Job:
Project 41 accommodates individuals within the homeless pathway and as part of Oxfordshire’s Homelessness Alliance. These individuals have support needs including substance use, mental health and offending histories, but are able to live in dispersed accommodation in Oxford with a higher level of independence than in our hostels. The successful candidate will understand the trauma people using our services have experienced, and have a compassionate and assertive approach to building relationships. At Project 41 you will provide high quality support service provision, work with clients to ensure suitable and timely move on, ensure the health and safety and safeguarding of service users and colleagues, work in a psychologically informed way, and develop and maintain effective partnerships with relevant agencies.

Main Areas Of Responsibility:

• To ensure the effective delivery of high quality support, housing management and resettlement opportunities.
• To develop effective professional relationships with service users that is trauma informed and compassionate, and which empowers and motivates our service users to make positive changes in their lives.
• To work in partnership with support agencies to coordinate a holistic response to an individuals needs; this may include substance use services, probation, health professionals and adult social care.
• To lead on identifying and applying for suitable move on accommodation, and providing support throughout the move and whilst settling in to new accommodation.
• To assess risk and suitability of referrals for the service.
• To be responsible for creating and actioning person centred, strengths based support plans, and identifying and working towards suitable move on.
• To assess and manage risk for individuals and in the service, creating and maintaining risk assessments for all clients. Reporting any safeguarding concerns without delay in line with procedures.
• Work with the Team Manager and colleagues to achieve agreed contractual performance targets and organisational targets and objectives.
• Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment across accommodation services; this may including room cleaning and clearance.
• Manage challenging situations in line with procedures and to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Ensure that IT systems are updated as required and concise record keeping is completed promptly.

Ella House supports women facing multiple disadvantages and intersectional challenges, including homelessness, substance misuse, contact with the criminal justice system, and mental ill health. These women often fall through gaps between services and systems, making it harder for them to address their challenges and lead fulfilling lives. At Ella House, the goal is to support clients with multiple and complex needs, recognising the emotional and compound trauma that can accompany and, in many cases, precede experiences of homelessness.

Ella House provides support by empowering women through independence, inclusion, peer support and wellbeing, bringing together diverse expertise and approaches.

The service delivers holistic support, where women are recognised for their full combination of strengths, capacities and experiences. We acknowledge how women, as individuals, want to be supported differently, and this requires staff to be patient, observant, creative and committed to trying a range of approaches.

About the Role

Specialist Support Workers provide support to women affected by multiple disadvantage, including those who have experienced domestic and/or sexual violence, have significant mental ill health, and/or use substances.

You will ensure the smooth running of the refuge, including processing and admitting new referrals, ensuring rent and personal charges are paid, maintaining rooms and communal areas, overseeing general housekeeping, organising repairs, and responding to crisis situations. You will work with women to develop Support Plans that meet their immediate practical and emotional needs and support their recovery, linking them with specialist services where required.

You will work in a trauma‑informed way and ideally have experience supporting people with significant mental ill health and/or substance use needs.

About You

The ideal candidate will have in‑depth knowledge of multiple disadvantages and their impact on women, as well as experience providing emotional and practical support to those affected by homelessness, substance misuse, the criminal justice system and mental ill health.

You will have experience managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of a diverse client group. You will be able to work with women to help them understand their needs, complete risk assessments, develop safety plans, and engage effectively with other agencies.

You will have working knowledge of legal remedies, housing and welfare benefits, and experience delivering workshops.

In addition to case management duties, you will be required to undertake housing management responsibilities, including health and safety tasks and supporting the upkeep of the accommodation. You will have excellent administrative and time‑management skills.

We are looking for an ambitious Programme Funding Manager to play a pivotal role in securing and managing funding from institutional donors, trusts, foundations, government agencies, and multilateral donors to support the delivery of vital global programmes supporting communities across the world.

The team would love this person to be in the London office once a week but this can be discussed, there may be occasional overseas travel. The team can consider 5 or 4 days a week.

The Candidate

Are you an experienced relationship fundraiser with experience of the following:

Income Generation significant experience and a successful track record securing grants from key institutional funders, ideally from the relevant thematic areas of: animal welfare, livelihoods, resilience building, access to water, food and gender.

Current knowledge and experience of institutional funders priorities, requirements and ways of working.

Knowledge and experience of the Programme management cycle.

Experience of producing budgets and reports for funders; experience of negotiating budgets, value for money etc.

In this role, you will provide high-quality, survivor-centred support to standard and medium-risk victims of domestic abuse, helping them to increase their safety, navigate their options, and make informed choices about their future.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, trauma-informed, survivor-centred support to high-risk victims of domestic abuse
• Carry out comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning, using tools such as DASH
• Advocate on behalf of survivors with statutory and voluntary agencies, including police, social care, housing, health, and legal services
• Represent and support clients through the MARAC process, ensuring risks and actions are clearly communicated and followed up
• Support survivors to understand their options around criminal justice, civil remedies, housing, and welfare
• Maintain accurate, confidential case records in line with GDPR, safeguarding, and organisational policies
• Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns involving adults and children

You will need to be a compassionate and resilient professional with:

Person Specification

Essential

• Minimum 9 years + post qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate, and
• Minimum 7 years + significant experience in legal aid supervision and regulatory compliance, and

• Strong commitment to social justice, harm reduction, and trauma-informed practice.

Desirable

• Experience working in a charity or non‑profit organisation.

The team is currently looking to appoint an interim Service Manager to oversee a team of youth practitioners delivering an emotional wellbeing & mental health (EWMH) drop-in service in Gateshead. This role is initially a temporary opportunity for 12 weeks, with the potential of extension.
 
As Service Manager you will oversee a team of dedicated youth practitioners, delivering one to one emotional wellbeing and mental health support to a variety of vulnerable young people, predominantly on a drop-in basis. You will lead, develop and coordinate the service, including community-based workshops, advice and signposting, and brief/structures interventions. You will ensure that delivery is clinically informed, safe and aligned with agreed service specifications.

This Fundraising Lead role (Maternity Cover) is central to our strategy - designed to secure sustainable income through community engagement, partnerships, and bold, values-aligned funding. You’ll lead the development and delivery of an ambitious fundraising strategy that aims to grow income to £400,000+ per year - supporting both WSUP’s immediate needs and long-term growth. This will include a blend of bid writing, challenge events, and community-led fundraising, working closely with volunteers, partners, and local supporters to build strong relationships and unlock sustainable income.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & income generation 

· Trusts & grants: Research, write, and submit compelling funding applications to trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies to secure new and repeat funding.

· Corporate & individual giving: Work alongside Service Delivery Manager and Deputy Service Manager to develop relationships with corporate sponsors and individual donors, creating engagement opportunities.

· Donor stewardship: Manage and nurture relationships with funders, ensuring timely reporting and impact updates.

· Donor stewardship: Provide timely and effective follow-up communications with supporters, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.

· Fundraising strategy: Support the development and implementation of WSUP’s fundraising strategy, identifying new opportunities for income growth.

· Event fundraising: Assist in planning and delivering fundraising events to engage supporters and raise unrestricted funds

· Financial oversight: Work with the CEO to develop fundraising budgets and ensure accurate income tracking.

· Financial oversight: Process cash and cheque donations for Community & Events income, including ensuring this income is processed and recorded accurately on our database which may include batch uploads.

· Campaigns & appeals: Develop and implement online fundraising campaigns, such as Winter Appeal or emergency appeals.

· Storytelling & impact reporting: Work with Communication Lead to share real-life stories that showcase WSUP’s work.

Person Specification

Essential skills & experience

· Fundraising knowledge: Understanding of trust, foundation, and corporate fundraising, with proven experience of writing successful grant applications.

· Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and reports.

· Relationship management: Ability to build relationships with funders, donors, and stakeholders at various levels.

· Organisational skills: Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· IT proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), databases, AI tools and social media scheduling tools.

· Financial literacy: Ability to create fundraising budgets and financial reports.

· Compliance: Knowledge of fundraising legislation, including Gift Aid and GDPR compliance.

· Experience in a small charity setting, ideally within the homelessness or health-related sector, understanding the challenges and opportunities of grassroots fundraising.

The Role

A highly valued role in the Secretariat Team has become available due to the portfolio growth of the existing postholder.

This is an important role which combines high quality General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) advice and collegiate support, policy and practice development and hands-on case management, such as undertaking Subject Access Requests (SARs).

You will directly support staff, including training and response to queries and proactive advice and support to area teams (bishops, archdeacons and their teams) and parishes. Although there is no direct line management responsibility, the role requires working well in a team, supporting others with confidence in your personal decision-making.
