The role will focus on the overall management and development of the Settlement’s Sports & Community Centre to encourage active living, offering a diverse range of opportunities and learning activities to encourage physical health and wellbeing including partnerships and greater use of site facilities – the sports pitch, the gym, halls and large outside space as detailed in the job description.

The Katie Piper Foundation is a small, national charity founded in 2009 by Katie Piper, a burns survivor. We exist to provide rehabilitation to survivors of life-altering burns and traumatic scarring.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join the Borde Hill team to work on the Reinventing Borde Hill project. This role will be responsible for managing the Community Growing Garden at Sugworth Farm, part of our new 2-acre biodynamic market garden which produces seasonal fruit and vegetables to supply the new restaurant, café and farm shop at Borde Hill.

Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the project includes an Activity Plan including a range of learning, community and volunteering activities, and this new role will have responsibility for overseeing community engagement both at the Community Growing Garden, and across the Parkland and main Garden.

Your role will focus on two key areas: overseeing the seasonal growing at the Community Growing Garden with volunteers and community partners, and developing and delivering an annual site-wide community engagement programme.

You will work closely with the NLHF Project Team, as well as the Green team. You will lead on liaising with local schools, community groups and charities, encouraging and facilitating participation in the Community Growing and wider site community programmes. Your passion for learning, community engagement, horticulture and nature will be key in ensuring this programme succeeds in delivering the ambitions set out in the Activity Plan.

Although funded via the Lottery project, this role is permanent as we are committed to continuing it after the funded project; we intend to continue the wide range of the activities that your role will nurture and develop.

• Build a seasonal programme of community engagement and growing in the Community Growing Garden and at the main site, building on and developing the programme set out in the Activity Plan

Skills and experience To be considered for this position, you should be able to demonstrate some or all of the following skills:

• Experience of working with a diverse range of community partners, and a commitment to and experience of delivering community engagement activities including learning engagement and activities
• Experience of managing and recruiting a diverse cohort of volunteers
• Ability to lead community group activities and co-ordinate a programme of community group activity across the season
• An understanding of seed sowing, crop rotations, pest and disease management, plant husbandry techniques needed in a productive market garden, and/or a willingness to learn about Biodynamic principles and practices
• A passion for growing and experience of growing fruits, vegetables, salad crops and ideally cut flowers in a recognised establishment
• An understanding of growing crops undercover and knowledge of cultivation under polytunnels
• Appreciation of nature and natural heritage, and its potential to contribute to wellbeing, creativity and learning among families and communities.

Wiltshire & Swindon Community Foundation is seeking an experienced and motivated Programmes Manager to join our Programmes team*, helping to design and deliver our open and trusting grant-making to groups and individuals across the County. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring that we maintain and grow our reputation as an informed and flexible funder, delivering circa £2.5m+ of grants per year and realising the ambitions of our 2025–2030 organisational strategy.

The postholder will understand how to build mutually beneficial relationships with a range of stakeholders including applicants for funding, donors, and partners such as our local authorities and infrastructure organisations. This role requires a confident and thoughtful grant-maker, able to manage deadlines and priorities, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and solid numeracy skills. With a genuine interest in and knowledge of the VCSE in Swindon and Wiltshire you will champion the sector through delivering grants programmes, support and advice. The Fleet Manager is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of FareShare South West’s fleet, including vans, HGVs, forklifts, and manual handling equipment. This role ensures all vehicles, equipment, and drivers operate to the highest standards of safety, legal compliance, and operational effectiveness.

The Fleet Manager supports the wider operations and volunteer driving teams (including 2X HGV Drivers) through training, onboarding, and best practice-practice guidance. Working closely with Hub Managers, the Head of Operations, Food Manager and external contractors, the role drives continuous improvement across fleet operations and contributes to the smooth running of all FSSW transport activities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Fleet Operations and Maintenance

• Oversee servicing, MOTs, repairs, and maintenance for all fleet vehicles, forklifts, and manual handling equipment.
• Diagnose and triage vehicle issues, coordinating timely resolution with trusted contractors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with garages, leasing companies, insurers, fuel card providers, and breakdown services.
• Coordinate vehicle movements between sites and garages, ensuring minimal disruption to operations, arranging replacements as necessary.
• Manage fleet related-related budgets, including accessories, consumables, and recurring charges.
• Manage procurement processes (purchase or leased) related to fleet including onboarding and offboarding of fleet.
• Administer insurance policy changes and support the Head of Operations to manage claims involving FSSW vehicles or third parties.
• Maintain accurate fleet records, including maintenance logs, defect reports, mileage, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor and report on fleet performance metrics and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.

2. Driver Leadership and Support

• Provide guidance and support to two HGV Drivers on HGV management and compliance, and support Head of Operations with onboarding HGV Drivers.
• Develop and maintain a “train the trainer” model to ensure high quality-quality driver assessments across hubs, ensuring all staff are trained to the same level.
• Support and develop volunteer driving teams, ensuring driver onboarding and checks are consistent across hubs.
• Promote and model best practice in all driving and vehicle related-related duties.

3. Compliance and Health & Safety (H&S)

• Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, including DVSA standards, driver hours, tachograph rules, and Working Time Directive requirements.
• Oversee daily vehicle checks, defect reporting, and follow up-up actions.
• Maintain accurate records relating to fleet compliance, driver licences, incident forms, and repairs.
• Monitor fleet tracker data and escalate concerns appropriately.

Sydenham Garden is seeking a Community Activities & Volunteering Lead on a Fixed term contract to end of December 2027 to join our team of 14 staff and approximately 70 volunteers in delivering adult mental health and dementia services in our beautiful garden settings in south-east London. 

Position: Community Activities & Volunteering Lead

Contract: Fixed term to 31st December 2027, full time - 37.5 hours per week. Some regular working outside Monday-Friday 9-5 may be required, for which TOIL will be available. Part time and flexible working applications also considered.

About the role

Sydenham Garden, based in Lewisham in South-East London, is a unique wellbeing centre utilising its gardens, nature reserve and activity rooms to help people living with and recovering from mental and physical ill-health. We provide nature and arts based creative, social and therapeutic activities for co-workers (the name we give to our primary beneficiaries). With funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to help us ‘grow our community’ and increase the sustainability of our impact we’re seeking a Community Activities & Volunteering Lead to drive continuous improvement and development of volunteer-led community activities for the benefit of co-workers as well as managing the day to day running of our volunteer programme.

About you

You’ll have experience of recruiting, working with, and managing volunteers, including delivery of skill-building and development activities for volunteers with Lived Experience of mental and/or physical ill health. You’ll have excellent people skills and the ability to demonstrate sensitivity, kindness, and a person-centred understanding of different mental, physical, and neurological needs. You’ll have experience of delivering group activities and working with people with mental/physical-ill health and/or dementia. You’ll have line management experience and be able to provide strategic direction as well as be able to innovate and develop new initiatives and balance competing priorities while being willing to play a team role and get stuck into different activities.

The Role

The Marketing and PR Manager leads Devon Air Ambulance’s media relations, public relations, and integrated marketing activity to build awareness, advocacy, and income, shaping the organisation’s narrative through compelling PR and multi‑channel campaigns while safeguarding its reputation. They will manage proactive and reactive press activity, oversee social media strategy, produce and approve high‑quality content, and maintain strong relationships with media and stakeholders. The role works collaboratively across teams to create cohesive supporter journeys and develop patient and supporter stories. Additionally, the postholder integrates AI‑enabled and monitoring tools to enhance coverage and content quality, ensures brand and regulatory compliance, and line‑manages the Marketing and Communications Officer to support workload, development, and wellbeing.

The Candidate

We're looking for a strong communicator with proven PR and marketing experience. You will create compelling content, lead multi‑channel campaigns, manage media relations, and confidently handle sensitive stories. The role will suit someone who is creative, collaborative, and digitally skilled, and someone who will bring professionalism, empathy, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, varied role.

Age UK's Influencing division has a rare and exciting opportunity for a Policy Manager to join our successful Policy Team.

In your role you will influence decision makers, develop public policy proposals, manage policy projects and provide specialist support to colleagues on the subject area of 'connected communities' based on analysis, evidence and expertise.

As Policy Manager you will commission and manage a significant policy research project to better understand the place-based barriers undermining older people's abilities to connect with their communities. Through engagement with older people, local Age UKs and other stakeholders, the postholder will identify effective policy interventions and develop an influencing strategy to strengthen the development of key local infrastructure that can help build social connections.

We operate a hybrid working model. We offer flexibility on working from home but require the applicant to be in our central London office a minimum of one day per week (currently the Team attend the office on a Wednesday). Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

Create, launch and manage supporter stewardship and recognition programmes to ensure corporate donors and partners feel valued and engaged with the organisation, you will be key in maintaining long-term relationships.

Develop and maintain a portfolio of potential corporate and high net worth supporters through regular research and networking and attend events and meetings with potential donors.

 Expand current fundraising activity to create new opportunities by promoting Stop Domestic Abuse.
