Primary Purpose:
The Service Manager works as part of the Charity Operations team and has operational responsibility for the sustainability and development of a range of existing services, developing new service opportunities and taking an active part in influencing change and improvement on behalf of older people..
Main Duties:
- Participate in joint decision making as a member of the services management team in both strategic and operational planning.
- In-line with the organisation’s strategy, prepare an annual plan of activity for all areas of responsibility identifying resource implications.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Implementation (Online & Offline)
• Key operational lead, deputising for the Head of Individual Giving and Legacies, taking responsibility for the planning and delivery of campaigns and activity across channels and supporter journeys.

• Create and optimise content, sometimes cross team and directly with our incredible patients and supporters.

• Ensure all supporters are thanked and updated in an appropriate and timely manner, working with the team to ensure coverage and that all interactions are in line with our supporter promise.

Collaboration & Cross-Selling
• Work with the wider PCR team to maximise opportunities for fundraising and patient impact, specifically leading on cross-selling meaningful cash and support propositions to other audiences (e.g., events participants, community fundraisers, and campaigners).
• Work with Agile principles in mind, collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to plan and deliver high-quality work.
• Build key relationships across teams within and outside Public Fundraising to achieve successful fundraising outcomes.
• As required, represent PCR externally, promoting our work and building long-term relationships with stakeholders.
Database and Compliance
• Develop your existing experience and affinity for supporter data to improve outcomes for supporters.
• Hold a very good working knowledge of key aspects of data protection law including GDPR and PECR, as well as the Fundraising Code of Practice.
• Work with our tools and seek to improve knowledge and use of these, including Access CRM, Fundraise Up, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Wordpress and MailChimp.
Skills and Competencies
Our ideal candidate would have the following:
• Fundraising Expertise: Proven experience in an Individual Giving role(s) with a track record of managing both digital acquisition and offline appeals (direct mail/telemarketing) for a charity or social cause, as well as significant experience in retention, marketing communications, supporter services.
• Agency Management: Experience managing creative, fundraising and digital marketing agencies, to deliver a variety of campaigns or activities across multiple channels.
• Digital Proficiency: Demonstrable expertise setting up and managing campaigns in Meta Business Suite, Google paid advertising, and email marketing platforms like Mailchimp.
• Strategic Thinking: Evidence of leading successful integrated campaigns resulting in significant income or lead generation.
• Audience development: Led development of successful new propositions for cross-selling across existing audiences.
• Creative Skills: The ability to motivate and inspire audiences through content and creative writing and storytelling for various channels.
• Financial Acumen: The ability to monitor and manage income and expenditure against targets as well as forecast and report on campaigns across all channels.
• Supporter Experience: A strong desire to provide excellent supporter experience and customer journeys to everyone who encounters PCR.
• Collaborative Mindset: A collaborative and innovative mindset with a desire to test, learn, and work with stakeholders cross-functionally.

We’re seeking someone with a strong commitment to social impact, who thrives in a small, high-performing team and brings a proven ability to deliver, build trusted relationships, and grow engaged communities of education leaders.
In this role, you will lead on building strong relationships with senior leaders in schools and Multi-Academy Trusts, supporting them to deliver HPF education resources, including Game Plan, helping them to embed our content in their curriculum and across their schools. You will work closely with the Head of Programmes to build and implement growth and engagement strategies, as well as being the first point of contact for educators and schools.

Key responsibilities include:

Build trusted relationships with teachers, school leaders, and education partners.

Act as the main point of contact for schools and Multi-Academy Trusts participating in HPF education programmes.

Support schools with onboarding, induction, and ongoing engagement in programmes.

Help develop our ongoing strategy for building a community of educators across the UK.

Manage community metrics

Support the wider Education team to gather, analyse, manage and report data

Support our educators with course delivery, access to materials and resources, ensuring they are making the most of the course materials and feel confident to deliver our programmes.

Monitor participation and engagement levels, following up where needed.

Gather insights from educators to help improve programme design and delivery.

Create and schedule regular communications for the education community (emails, newsletters, updates).

Work with marketing or fundraising colleagues to amplify educator voices and stories
Essential experience:
-
Proven experience of senior stakeholder management (preferably within education)

Passion for social impact and the High Performance Foundation’s mission
-
Understanding of the wider education sector
-
Confidence networking and engaging with stakeholders and education partners at all levels
-
Excellent written and oral communication skills
-
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across the team

Willingness to undertake school visits across the UK.

Effective time management
Desirable experience:
-
Experience delivering and scaling education programmes for young people within education settings
-
Stakeholder management within education, building trusted relationships with schools and Multi-Academy Trusts
-
Monitoring, evaluation and learning, including collecting impact data and tracking metrics
-
Experience of working collaboratively within a small charity, start-up or similarly agile organisation
