Overview of Role:

The Operational Support Worker plays a vital role in enabling the team to offer compassionate, Christ centred support to vulnerable women. As the project has seen growth over the last few years, in response to rising demand, this role will play a key part in shaping and establishing the administrative systems, processes and procedures we’ve not yet had the capacity to formalise—ideal for someone who is energised by building structure, improving practice, and being part of creating solutions rather than stepping into a readymade setup. By carrying out the administrative, organisational, and practical tasks that keep the project running smoothly, they will help free frontline staff and evangelists to focus on building relationships, offering pastoral care, and walking alongside women in their daily challenges.

Salary: £24,570 per Annum (FTE)

Purpose of Role:

The Centre Manager is responsible for the effective leadership and management of Ormside Mill Residential Centre (ORC), including all Health and Safety, estate management, operations and bookings. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management

• To support the CEO in the delivery of our mission, in line with our values and ambition.
• Oversee daily operations of Ormside Mill Residential Centre, ensuring high service standards and smooth handover/takeover procedures.
• Line manage staff associated with the centre, such as the grounds keeper, housekeeper and finance assistant.
• Manage and administer all bookings and reservations for the Ormside Mill Residential Centre, maintaining an organised and efficient system.
• Provide onsite ‘take over’ and ‘hand over’ arrangements for groups, including providing oversight of activities with freelance instructors etc.

Safety, Quality and Compliance

• To ensure they have up to date Safeguarding knowledge and to promote GMYF safeguarding culture.
• Responsible for safe, inclusive practice in all areas of ORC work, through supportive line management of key staff, user and contractor briefings and operations. Be responsible for compliance with health and safety regulations including Fire Safety, Legionella, Contractor Management, vehicle maintenance etc.

Role purpose 

Adoption UK is undertaking a major digital transformation, initially focused on CRM and Website developments. Our Digital Transformation Team will drive this change programme, working with colleagues and external digital partners; and subsequently deliver our on-going digital strategy implementation and development.

About the role
We are recruiting for a Strategic Evidence Manager to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract. This is a home-based role, with occasional travel required to attend team meetings.

As Strategic Evidence Manager, you will use evidence for good, contributing to driving major system and policy changes across England, Northern Ireland and Wales at an exciting time in dementia. You will work alongside another Strategic Evidence Manager and our Dementia Intelligence and Data Lead to provide expertise on evidence, data and insight in the context of dementia.

You will manage and support the development of two Strategic Evidence Officers, and you will ensure the Society’s choices and interpretation of dementia and the system is based on the highest quality of dementia evidence. Your role will allow us to have actionable insights and implications at our disposal. You will make our strategic evidence base everyone’s business and ultimately unignorable – to our people, and key players in the dementia system.

You will also be able to spot opportunities to generate and commission new evidence, working in collaboration with external suppliers, think tanks or academics. As Strategic Evidence Manager, you will be at the forefront of emerging evidence in dementia, ensuring specialist knowledge is kept up to date by being aware of developments and by attending training courses (where appropriate) and participating in other knowledge sharing events or networks.

About you
Joining us, you will have experience of using a wide range of research methods, including evidence synthesis, in addition to knowledge on current and emerging treatments for dementia. You’ll have experience of working in the science, health, care or policy sectors or equivalent knowledge. Crucially, you will have the skills required to manage, support and develop a team with a proven ability to inspire and motivate people to towards shared objectives and goals. This role will require you to represent Alzheimer’s Society at conferences, events and different types of media, therefore you’ll need to be able to use your communication and networking skills to raise the profile of strategic evidence as a critical function to the organisation.

We are looking for someone who can work alongside the Diocesan Property Manager, and Property Officer, to assist in the management of the Clergy Housing stock comprising of 160 houses across Coventry and Warwickshire.

The main responsibilities of the of Diocesan Housing Surveyor

 are:

• Inspect Clergy houses and assess repairs and improvements necessary in compliance with Coventry Diocese Clergy Housing Standards.
• Implement the recommendations of the property reports.
• Arrange property inspections and implement the required works with the agreement of the Property Manager.
• Arrange stock condition surveys.
• Address reactive repairs and ensure works are undertaken and completed in accordance with the Housing Standards.

· Driving Licence with access to own car

· Previous experience of managing small works contracts

About the role

You do not need to have worked in the domestic abuse sector before, but you do need to be an experienced communications professional who can think strategically, manage people well and maintain high standards across everything we put out. 

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience of managing a team 

• Has developed and implemented communications strategies 

• Has managed brand and external profile for an organisation 

• Understands digital communications including social media, websites and email marketing 

• Can set targets, prioritise and quality assure work 

• Has strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Is committed to ending domestic abuse 

Experience of working across the charity sector, partnership communications, or the DSVA sector is desirable but not essential.

Salary:

• £31,484.01 pa FTE.  Actual salary for part time hours £25,527.58

• Permanent, part-time 30 hours per week
