Interim Senior Management Accountant
3-month assignment • 3 days per week • Start: Early January

A national not-for-profit organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to support the Finance team during a period of high activity and organisational change. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, analytical and hands-on finance professional who can quickly add value in a mission-driven environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening financial planning, delivering high-quality insight to senior leaders, and supporting the development of costing and pricing models as the organisation prepares for an ambitious period of growth.

Key responsibilities
• Lead the preparation of mid-year forecasting, including variance analysis and narrative insight
• Support the development of operational planning tools for the next financial year
• Build and enhance financial models, including costing and pricing analysis
• Produce clear, accurate management reporting for senior leadership
• Provide financial guidance and business partnering to non-finance teams
• Support technical queries including VAT and finance processes
• Contribute to the improvement of financial controls and reporting efficiency

About you
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience
• Strong background in management accounting, forecasting and financial modelling
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-finance colleagues
• Confident working autonomously and bringing structure during periods of change
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Available from early January for 3 days a week

About You

We’re looking for candidates who ideally have experience of working in health/science research environments and a knowledge of project management methodology. We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for a hybrid approach working from home,  although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings in Hatfield or across the UK. There is a requirement for you to attend a minimum of 12 in person days a year, including two Directorate meetings and the charity’s mandatory ‘All Staff Together’ days which take place four times a year at our offices in Hatfield or a location in London. In addition, there will be a requirement to attend site visits, conferences and events as required.

Summary

We are currently looking to appoint a Home Academy Liaison Officer (HALO) to oversee educational welfare across the academy.

At Harris Academy Battsersea, you will join a dedicated team of staff supporting our excellent students. If you are looking for an opportunity to grow, inspire and develop, this may be the role for you.

The actual salary for this role will be £29,641-£30,516 (39 weeks per year, 37.5 hours per week) 

Main Areas of Responsibility

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing Educational Welfare across the academy.
• Managing a caseload of ‘at risk’ students, where attendance falls below 85% and implement strategies to improve attendance
• Monitoring and improving the attendance of most vulnerable students
• Ensuring compliance with statutory duties, including reporting persistent and severe absenteeism
• Conducting home visits to engage families and address barriers to school attendance
• Maintaining accurate attendance records and preparing reports
• Representing the academy at external meetings e.g. Social Services Case Conferences, Child in Need Meetings, LAC Reviews
• Communicating effectively with all external agencies including possible alternative providers
• Ensuring effective communication/consultation as appropriate with the parents of students
• Leading on legal interventions for non-attendance where necessary
• Co-ordinating appropriate and tailored alternative provision for students unable to thrive in mainstream education
• Supporting the school’s inclusion strategy

Qualifications & Experience

We would like to hear from you have:

• Qualifications to degree level or equivalent
• Knowledge of behaviour for learning policies
• Knowledge of the range of barriers to learning that students face
• Training in child protection and safeguarding procedures
• Basic knowledge of first aid (e.g. emergency first aid course)
• At least three years’ experience of working in an inner city school or educational establishment in a pastoral capacity
• Experience of dealing successfully with a range of issues influencing poor attendance
• Experience of working with staff to ensure excellent standards of attendance and punctuality
• Experience of working with families
• Experience of working with challenging students and parents, and finding ways in which we can meet their needs more successfully

Key responsibilities

Events

· Oversee, coordinate and deliver our calendar of fundraising events including logistics and administration.

· Help organise our annual Appeal Dinner, the Trust’s flagship fundraising event, overseeing all administration, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and oversee adverts in Appeal Dinner brochure.

· Liaise with companies to arrange corporate events with Holocaust survivor speakers and develop relationships with existing and new companies to increase income in this area.

nia has been delivering services to women, girls and children who have been subjected to sexual and domestic violence and abuse, including prostitution, since 1975. The organisation has three main aims: to provide services for women, girls and children who have experienced men’s violence; contributing to ending male violence against women and girls, and to inform and influence policy and public awareness.

nia is a professionally approved member of Rape Crisis England and Wales; an umbrella organisation supporting Rape Crisis Centres across the country. Rape Crisis is completely independent of the government and the criminal justice system.

East London Rape Crisis provides free, confidential specialist support for women and girls who have been raped or experienced any other form of sexual violence or abuse at any time in their lives, regardless of whether or not they have reported to the police. We offer confidential and independent support. Services include advocacy, emotional and practical support, one-to-one counselling and group work. The service is provided across Barking & Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Redbridge, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.

We form part of the London Sexual Violence Alliance. The Alliance brings together 225 years of expertise and experience and represents a bold, visionary and survivor-centred resource. The Alliance consists of eight members. Seven are organisations that have historically, and or currently, provide support for victims/survivors. About the role

In the role of Sexual Violence Navigator, you will provide the first response which supports survivors to make informed decisions about the next steps on their recovery journey. Navigators work within a trauma-informed approach, which centres survivor’s holistic needs, recognises strengths and survival strategies and responds to crisis.

You will work as part of a growing feminist Rape Crisis service that is developing to meet the needs of women and girls. You will be joining the organisation at an exciting period of change and collaboration amongst providers of the London Sexual Violence Alliance.

SENIOR HR ADVISOR – GENERALIST STAND ALONE ROLE

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team starting, ideally, from early 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist, transitioning to managing an HR standalone function. This is permanent full-time role based in Old Street – London, with occasional travel to our Bristol office.

You will be involved in the whole employee lifecycle, from when candidates apply for a job to when staff leave the organisation. Earth Trust is seeking a Marketing Officer to join our Communications and Marketing team and help amplify our mission during an exciting phase of growth. 

About the role 

As Earth Trust evolves into a key visitor destination in South Oxfordshire, you’ll play a key role in promoting our visitor hub, venue hire and events. 

Working closely with a small, collaborative team, you’ll craft compelling content, manage multi-channel campaigns, and use data-driven insights to optimise performance. 

This is a unique opportunity to use creativity with digital channel management and connect people with nature while supporting commercial growth. 

What you’ll do 

• Plan and deliver marketing campaigns for venue hire, events, and our new paid-for adventure play.

• Create engaging content for social media, email, and web.

• Manage digital channels (MailChimp, WordPress) and optimise SEO. 

• Analyse campaign performance and manage budgets.

• Collaborate across teams to deliver impactful projects.

What we’re looking for 

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in marketing or communications 

• Strong copywriting and content creation skills 

• Proficiency in digital tools (MailChimp, WordPress, Canva) 

• Experience with paid media, SEO, and analytics 

• Organised, creative, and passionate about connecting people with nature 

Desirable: Charity sector experience, venue marketing knowledge and familiarity with Google Ads Grants. 

This role is 21 hours per week, typically worked over three days, of which two are in our offices by the Wittenham Clumps - Little Wittenham, between Abingdon, Didcot and Wallingford.

Earth Trust is seeking a dynamic Senior Philanthropy & Corporate Partnerships Manager to cover maternity leave and play a pivotal role in driving fundraising growth through major gifts and corporate partnerships.

What you’ll do

This role is a maternity cover role, so there is flexibility on the start date. The current postholder is due to be on maternity leave from mid-April 2026 until the start of February 2027.

The Funding and Development Officer will play a key role in identifying, securing, and managing income streams through grants, partnerships, donations, and fundraising initiatives. This role will also support organisational growth by developing strategic relationships, improving funding processes, and enhancing the charity’s visibility and impact.

The Funding & Development Officer will work closely with the Centre Manager to identify a strategic funding & finance plan to ensure sustainability for all the charities projects.

LYCC is a youth and community organisation (registered charity) dedicated to empowering young people, adults and strengthening local communities. We provide inclusive programmes, opportunities, and support that help individuals develop confidence, skills, and a sense of belonging. Our name change in 2011, to Litherland Youth & Community Centre, and our building redevelopment in 2014/2015 reflects how our organisation had shifted from a traditional “boys club” and “youth centre” to now a youth and community centre. Taking a holistic approach in relation to our services facilitated and support offered. LYCC identified the need for this holistic approach and has worked since to provide services and support for individuals of all ages within our community. The Funding & Development Officer, will help LYCC be proactive to local identified need and help to source and secure funds to faciltiate support. 

Current charity turnover approx. £300k.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Executive to join the Individual Giving Team to work across our Stewardship Programme. The role of Marketing Executive will see you working across all aspects of a campaign to help drive lifesaving income for the RNLI and treat our donors really well.

The role is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced marketing professional with an enthusiastic approach to your work, looking for a challenge, where you can really make a difference. Experience in project management, stakeholder communications and campaign planning is essential along with a passion to drive data-focused decisions and work as part of a dynamic and mission-focused team.

About you

You’ll be an experienced Marketing Executive able to support the development and delivery of impactful, successful campaigns. To be considered for the role as our new Marketing Executive, you will need:

• An understanding of the importance of meaningful donor stewardship and a commitment to delivering an exceptional supporter experience
• Experience in delivery of marketing campaigns focused on driving supporter response and donations and retention
• Proven experience of working across multiple projects to tight deadlines
• Knowledge of Direct Mail, Email and Web channels
• Confidence in understanding campaign performance data and communicating results and optimisations to a wide variety of stakeholders
• Be capable of building strong and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders
• To have excellent communication skills (both spoken and written)
