The Senior Project Officer sits with the Chief Executives Office supporting the Project & Programme Manager and is responsible for championing project management best practice across the wider organisation via training, consultations, and effective stakeholder management. The post holder is also responsible for scoping, planning, and delivering small-to-medium cross-organisational change projects that bring us closer to achieving our 10-year organisational strategy, ARUK: Towards a Cure.
Key Responsibilities:
Championing Project Management Best Practice
- Act as an advisor, mentor, and source of central project management expertise for colleagues across the charity; offering tailored project management consultations which empower colleagues to deliver their own initiatives effectively.
- Collaborate with the Project & Programme Manager to enhance and deliver ARUK’s flagship internal project management training, the ARUK Project Management Masterclass, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
· Take ownership for maintenance and development of the Projects team intranet pages and resources, ensuring they remain relevant and accessible to colleagues across the organisation.
- Support the Project & Programme Manager with the development of a suite of project management resources to further embed project management best practice across the organisation
Project Management
· Deliver small-to-medium cross-organisational change projects, as determined by the yearly Operational Planning process, working with project teams to develop flexible, adaptable project plans. This might include but is not limited to the implementation of new third-party systems and tools, regulatory and compliance projects, new fundraising campaigns, and digital transformation projects.
· Apply sound judgement and problem-solving expertise to manage project risks, decisions, and dependencies within the wider organisational context, drive and monitor project progress against timelines, and ensure stakeholders are updated at key checkpoints.
· Demonstrate accountability by escalating project risks via appropriate channels as required.
· Proactively build and maintain strong relationships with project teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to foster collaboration and drive successful outcomes.
· Lead project reviews to capture successes and learnings and ensure project outcomes are embedded into business-as-usual practices.
· Provide coordination support on larger programmes of work, as and when required.
What we are looking for:
· Experience managing cross-team projects, including developing project plans, allocating tasks, and managing risks, decisions, and changes.
· Sound knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).
· Demonstrable ability to work with, influence, and advise a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
· Working knowledge of project management tools, such as Excel, Smartsheet, MS Projects or similar.

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging individual giving appeals across multiple channels

Main Duties
- Develop and implement the global philanthropy strategy as part of the overall fundraising strategy, liaising with senior leadership, programme leads, communications and finance to ensure ClientEarth can maximise the potential income from major donors.
- Develop, implement and achieve relevant KPIs and financial targets for the philanthropy team and lead on the production of appropriate reports for senior management and the board of trustees.
- Using the strategy (organisational and fundraising) the Head of Philanthropy will personally manage and support senior staff on holding income-yielding high-level relationships.

About the Role
The Senior Programme Development Lead (Lessons from Auschwitz Project and Ambassador Programme) Maternity Cover is accountable for the delivery of the Trust’s flagship Lessons from Auschwitz Project, and the Trust’s Youth Advocacy Programme (AKA Ambassador Programme), including all content and quality assurance related to the delivery of a portfolio of activity that falls within these programmes. About you and the role
The purpose of this role is to support engagement with schools and multi-academy trusts by coordinating outreach, responding to enquiries, and helping to deliver our engagement activities. You will work closely with the Engagement Manager to implement engagement plans and ensure effective communication with schools and partners.

You’ll help build the engagement pipeline, support onboarding to ensure a smooth handover for training participants and schools to our programme delivery teams.
This role will be primarily based in London, but will include supporting the engagement of schools in locations across the UK as we scale and develop new hubs. Chief Executive Officer - The Brain Charity
Location: Liverpool-based - occasional travel across Merseyside and the UK
Salary: £75,000 per annum + 10% company pension
Contract: permanent, full-time
Are you ready to lead a values-driven charity that supports people affected by neurological conditions and their families across Merseyside and nationally?
The Brain Charity is a Liverpool-based national charity supporting adults, children and their families affected by any of more than 600 neurological and related conditions. Founded in 1993 by neurologists at The Walton Centre, we have grown a centre-based offer, hospital liaison roles and a national information, training and support service - from practical welfare and legal advice, counselling and rehabilitation (Neuro Gym) to peer connection via The Brain Food Café and employer/school training. We put lived experience, co-production and neuro-inclusive practice at the heart of everything we do: more than half of our staff and many of our volunteers have lived experience of neurological conditions.
As our next Chief Executive, you will:
- Strategic leadership: Develop and deliver a 3–5 year strategy and an operational plan with clear priorities that secures the charity’s long-term impact and sustainable growth.
- Values leadership: Model and embed the charity’s person-centred, inclusive and co-productive values across services and culture.
- Growth & income diversification: Lead development of diverse income streams — fundraising, legacies and commercial activity — to strengthen financial resilience.
- Partnerships & advocacy: Strengthen senior relationships with NHS partners, local authorities, commissioners and wider stakeholders; amplify the charity’s voice in neuro-health and community settings.
- Service quality & impact: Embed rigorous outcome measurement, quality assurance and contract compliance so our impact drives commissioning and service development.
- People leadership: Stabilise staff morale, lead and develop a high-performing Senior Leadership Team, and promote wellbeing and inclusive working practices.
- Governance & financial stewardship: Provide timely, high-quality reporting to the Board; oversee budgeting, forecasting and risk management to safeguard financial sustainability.
Who you are:
- An experienced Chief Executive or senior director with a minimum of three years’ experience at CEO or equivalent level.
- Proven track record of winning and managing commissioned contracts and delivering against local authority or health contracts.
- Skilled at building strategic partnerships and commanding credibility with senior stakeholders across health, local government and the voluntary sector.
- Confident at leading turnaround and financial sustainability work - experienced in budgeting, forecasting and making difficult decisions when needed.
- A values-led, collaborative leader with high emotional intelligence, resilience and a commitment to co-production and inclusion.
