ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Senior Income Generation Manager, you will be instrumental in spearheading income generation initiatives to achieve our Business Plan objectives. Working closely with the Head of Development and Quality, as well as our Senior Leadership Team, you will envision income generation proposals that leverage our strengths and foster synergies within our community-based services. Your strategic leadership and partnership development skills will be crucial in driving our mission forward.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Researching, applying for, and managing grants, tenders, and bids, in collaboration with our Business Development Officer.
- Overseeing the Fundraising Manager and their team to maximise fundraised income through community engagement and achieve targets for service expansion.
- Collaborating with the Communications Manager to raise awareness of our services and funding needs.
- Leading strategic initiatives to foster partnerships and secure sustainable funding sources.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Good understanding of funding sources for the public and voluntary sector, particularly within homelessness services.
- Familiarity with commissioning and procurement processes related to the voluntary sector.
- Experience in managing or delivering fundraising targets and creating comprehensive fundraising strategies.
- Proven track record in successful bid and grant applications, from conception to delivery.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in utilising data to develop business cases and communication strategies.

Job Purpose
Reporting to and supported by the Head of Impact, Learning & Organisational Development, this role is instrumental in building a solid foundation for the future of Babbasa. You will be responsible for trusts/ foundations grants research, applications, administration and impact reporting to funders. You will also work on building relationships with philanthropists and work with the Communications Lead in developing appropriate fundraising communications.
Core Responsibilities
Fundraising development

Identify and pursue new funding opportunities for our youth empowerment programmes, as well as for research and innovation opportunities to expand our existing offer.

Responsible for trust and foundation grant applications, including bid conceptualisation, proposal writing, fundraising budget creation and application review.

Support / develop relationships with philanthropists with a view to securing major gifts and legacies.

Maintain and develop authentic and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to effectively steward them.

Work with and deputise for the Head of Impact, Learning & Organisational Development to steward funders with the aim of achieving Babbasa’s annual revenue target.
Management & Reporting

Responsible for producing evaluation reports as per each funder’s reporting schedule, working with other team members to ensure that the reporting is accurate and timely.

Track, review and report progress against the Business Plan to the Head of Impact, Learning & Organisational Development and the wider team using our Monday CRM system.

Continually review risks, feedback, procedures, strategy and approach to improve profitability.

Work with the Head of Impact and the wider senior leadership team to understand Babbasa’s strategic direction and priorities.

Person Specification
You are fundraising aware – you know how to research and evaluate appropriate grant fundraising opportunities and manage the process of engagement. You have knowledge of the fundraising landscape in Bristol and of key funders for youth empowerment, social mobility and poverty reduction.
You have excellent communication skills – You have outstanding writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create bespoke fundraising materials for funders. You are a confident connector with the ability to influence decision making and you have an understanding of the social value and positive impact of Babbasa.
Stakeholder management / stewardship - You have the ability to develop and maintain relationships and make connections with and between organizations, institutions and individuals.
Working with others - You work to identify funding gaps in the organisation, scope and plan minor and major projects to address them, and successfully drive fundraising projects to completion, involving and engaging colleagues appropriately throughout. Harm towards children and young people is a global issue, and can include physical and emotional abuse, neglect and exploitation, sexual abuse and other forms of gender-based violence. This is an exciting opportunity to support a global network of up to 40 partners in strengthening and developing their safeguarding practices and embed our global framework, supporting KTI and our partner organisations to meet institutional contractual requirements.
In this key role, you will lead and implement the safeguarding strategy, working closely with the Director of Delivery and Impact and with the Senior Leadership Team providing advice and updates regarding safeguarding and risk management to our Board, various committees, and teams. ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Head of Digital to join our Brand and Marketing Communications team on a 12 month maternity contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a newly formed digital responsible for both digital experience and digital engagement.
You will provide strategic expertise and direction to ensure that digital team are supported to deliver integrated and best practice marketing campaigns. Champion the ongoing development of the Young Lives vs Cancer website and work with the Digital Experience Manager to refine the roadmap for improvements.
This is a key role in championing the impact of digital expertise within the organisation, supporting the team to create a data driven and innovative approach to activity, through continuous iteration and improvement. Working with stakeholders across the organisation in order to realise the potential of digital solutions and channels to deliver excellent online experiences.

SHiFT’s Head of Practice Development will lead the supervisory and direct practice work SHiFT does with children, young people and the people in their lives who matter. The role has been designed so that you would directly lead a small central team and be outwardly focussed on supporting SHiFT Guides and SHiFT Practices to work in ways with young people that are aligned with the SHiFT Framework. Key Duties

Experience, knowledge and skills:
- Substantial expertise in leading, developing and assuring exceptional practice between practitioners and young people caught in highly risky situations and relationships.
- Knowledge of, and/or experience of using, systemic ideas in practice with children and young people would be highly advantageous.
- Experience of influencing the practice of others through your own direct line management, through supervision, coaching and teaching.
- Detailed knowledge of youth justice and children’s social care agencies, systems, and policies.
