My Life My Choice (MLMC) is a multi-award-winning self-advocacy charity uniquely run by and for people with learning disabilities, founded in 1998. An opportunity has arisen for a Planned Giving Officer to join our growing award winning team. We are responsible for both legacy fundraising and administration as well as in memory giving. This is a real growth area in the fundraising team and one you will be an integral part of.
You will be working with the Head of Planned Giving and the Senior Planned Giving Officer. This role will involve a certain amount of administration, complying with Charity Commission Guidelines. Also you will be helping with supporter enquiries and interactions so must be comfortable talking with supporters. The Programme Officer role will report to the Programme Manager and sit within the Programmes Team.

Role Description
Volunteers
o Working with the CEO and Head of Support Services develop and deliver the Volunteering Strategy for the organisation.
o Work to significantly increase the inclusivity of volunteers and the work done by volunteers.
o Oversee the recruitment of volunteers and ensure appropriate induction in collaboration with relevant staff.
o Deliver mandatory initial and ongoing training for volunteers.
o Working with colleagues, produce and keep up-to-date policies, processes and forms, ensuring volunteers understand and use these resources.
o Provide day-to-day support to volunteers, working closely with the Head of Support Services.
o Manage all volunteer programme communications in collaboration with the Communications Officer including: ebulletins, website, social media and print materials.
o Collect and process feedback and statistics and compile reports on satisfaction and effectiveness as required.
o Provide specific support for volunteering roles including;
Helpline and Telephone Buddies
o Support the transition of the helpline to a new scheme such as our telephone buddy scheme
o Support and review the telephone buddy scheme
o In conjunction with the Head of Support Services, support the implementation and ongoing management of a new Facebook support group
o Collate statistics on helpline calls and report on this monthly.
Local Support Groups
o Support the establishment of online condition specific and new regional groups.
o Undertake visits to Local Support Groups as appropriate.
o Working with the Finance and Operations Manager support the groups to use funds they have raised.
Other Volunteers
o Support Office volunteers in their day to day work, being the first point of contact and allocating tasks.
o Working with the Head of Support Services contribute to the development of the Lived Experience Committee.
o Working with the Head of Fundraising support and engage Ambassador and Fundraising volunteers.
Support Service Coordination
o Ensure the CRM system is up to date with all Support Services information.
o Ensure all statistics relating to Support Services are up to date.
o Ensure Support Services’ phone systems and booked calls are effectively and efficiently set up.
o Ensure accurate record of all research and surveys we are asked to engage in and follow up on outcomes of that research.
o Undertake any small administrative duties as required.
o Where required, provide support in managing the helpline emails.
Support Services Events
o Lead on the development and delivery of three one day conference style events annually. These will be held throughout the UK and will offer panel discussions and networking for our community.
o In partnership with the wider team, occasionally represent The Foundation by running information stands, coordinating volunteers and preparing information for external events such as industry conferences.
o Where appropriate attend and present at external meetings.
o Support the management and delivery of the portfolio of online and in person events delivered by the Pituitary Foundation in conjunction with the wider team.

Elders Voice is an established and trusted charity in the heart of Kensal Green. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting people with lived mental health experience on their recovery journey by supporting them back into paid employment. The postholder will be directly employed by Hillside Clubhouse but work under an Honorary Contract from Camden and Islington Foundation Trust. They will be managed directly by the IPS Operations Manager but work as team member within the clinical team. The role is dynamic and involves being integrated in a clinical team, working within the community, and we operate a flexible working policy where working from home is also permitted up to two days per week.
Overall aim:
To enable people with mental health issues to gain and sustain competitive employment by working within the evidence based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.
Primary Duties:
- Manage a caseload of up to twenty clients and work within and apply the 8 principles of IPS in all aspects of role.
- To work with and enable clients to find work using a mix of conventional approaches and employer engagement.
- To generate ongoing referrals from the clinical team and to manage those effectively.
- To engage directly and collaboratively with the clinical team while maintaining the existing multi-disciplinary approach to assisting clients seeking work.
- To report and meet regularly with clinical team service managers and the IPS Operations manager, and to participate in both casework and clinical supervision from IPS Operations and clinical team services managers.
- To be an active member of both the clinical and Hillside teams
- To be responsible for own management of administrative duties tied to both Hillside Clubhouse and clinical team and adhering to existing Hillside and NHS protocols.
- Source job opportunities specific to client needs from a range of sources including those advertised via current and conventional means, as well as through contact with local and Pan London employers.
- To build up a network of employers to secure available and future vacancies.
- To maintain existing and seek out new relationships with a range of external agencies of use to the post.
- To provide ongoing support to both client and employers (where appropriate) when starting work and until such time as the client makes the decision to end the support provided.
- To work with clients to collaboratively manage job searching activities and engagement with the service.
- To manage and meet all KPIs, statistics and documentation as required, including but not limited to: referrals, first meetings, job outcomes, job sustainments of 6, 13 and 26 weeks, and work retention.
- To provide guidance on the impact and/or the potential change to benefits when clients start work.
- To work and manage time effectively in both community/external settings, and at clinical team.
- Secondary Duties:
- To work out of hours as and when required, working in line with Hillside Clubhouse risk management procedures.
- Undertake training when required and participate in ongoing learning and development.
- To maintain professional boundaries with all internal and external stake holders including clients, and staff members of both Hillside and the clinical team.
- To engage and participate in external IPS support services, training, and events.
- To undertake additional tasks and duties as and when required, and to work outside of normal office hours when necessary.

In this role, you will support the development and implementation of Picker's policy influencing strategy to make person centred health and social care a reality for everyone. You will be responsible for monitoring policy and political developments, promoting evidence-based policies to advanced person centred care and building and maintaining relationships within the health policy world. You will leave on the development of policy outputs including briefings, position statements and white papers, working with colleagues to build evidence and articulate Picker's messages.

In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of key health and social care policy and political developments
- Lead on or assist with a range of high-profile policy projects, including the planning and development of projects, and contributing to analysis, writing and publication.
- Identifying opportunities to contribute to public policy debates in health and social care, using evidence from Picker’s work and from the public domain to provide insightful thought leadership.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support policy analysis, responsive policy work, and to enhance Picker’s external profile across various audiences.
- Lead on and assist with written outputs, such as topic-specific briefing papers, website copy, presentations and blog posts to communicate the findings of our work.
- Carry out literature reviews and rapid scans of data and evidence to scope public policy positions on a range of key issues.
- Present evidence and findings (both in writing and orally) about highly complex and sometimes contentious subjects to a wide range of audiences, ensuring an understanding of the subject and issues arising and enabling informed decision making
- Support the drafting of responses to consultations, policy briefings, and other public policy initiatives, including relevant third party publications.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, partners, and collaborators relevant to our policy portfolio, including academic and health and social care policy communities.
- Work collaboratively with other teams, creating strong links between other programmes and projects, to promote the use of services, products and survey findings that improve the quality of healthcare.

This is a part time position working four days per week (30 hours), Monday to Friday.
Within this role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are based, maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important. The current patch for this role is Emmaus Brighton & Hove, Emmaus Greenwich and Emmaus Dover. Regular travel to these three communities will be required (usually one community visit per week). Travel to team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, and other locations will also be required on occasion.
Who are we looking for?
We require someone with a strong skillset and at least two years’ experience working in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.
