South East London (SEL) Mind is a highly regarded local charity, helping people to be mentally healthy and working together with those experiencing mental health problems and dementia to improve their quality of life. Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College, part of SEL Mind’s Recovery Works service, runs a curriculum of free peer and professional-led courses across the borough. Our workshops and courses combine enjoyment, fun and knowledge to enable students to achieve a greater insight into their own mental wellbeing and gain skills to help them achieve personal goals and ambitions.
We are looking for a Recovery College Manager with drive and a passion for promoting learning to oversee the running of an excellent quality college. You will work closely with the Recovery College Coordinator and a team of dedicated tutors and volunteers to bring a number of accessible courses to a wide range of students.
You will have experience of successfully delivering learning to others and management experience. You will need to be organised and have the confidence to communicate effectively with a range of people.
A flexible can-do attitude and a calm, problem-solving approach is also essential for this role. If you have what it takes, we would love to hear from you.

Scope of role
The Head of Programme & Organisational Development is also one of two Co-Leads of On Purpose London. As such, they are jointly responsible for the London Associate Programme in partnership with the Co-Lead of On Purpose London who focuses on Business Development & Community. We find this co-leadership model offers a useful balance of mutual support and challenge, role-modelling how we believe leadership should operate.
You would be part of our cross-organisational leadership team of six city leads and the CEO. Senior Programme Manager - International Partnerships
This newly established role will help deliver a new WFD workplan on International Partnerships.
WFD’s strategic 2.1 goal focuses on consolidating a summit process to follow up the three Summits for Democracy that were initiated by the US administration. Funding for this work is confirmed for the 2024/25 financial year but, with a strong possibility this role, could continue.
The Senior Programme Manager - International Partnerships will be the dedicated person assigned to this workplan and will therefore play a vital coordinating role. The CEO will be the accountable officer and will line manager the Senior Programme Manager - International Partnerships.
The Senior Programme Manager - International Partnerships will have lead responsibility for managing various relationships and activities. The Professional Standards Administrator role sits in our high performing Professional Practice & Quality Improvement team who works to produce a comprehensive program of standards and guidance promoting the RCR’s expertise as leaders in these areas. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Professional Standards Manager and team in the delivery of key workstreams by providing administrative support across a range of projects. You will need to have good attention to detail and be an efficient multi-tasker as you will also provide secretariat support to allocated committees and working parties.

Blackpool Crisis Support - Sycamore House is a community-based crisis service, working to a recovery model with the aim to reduce the amount of A&E and Hospital admissions through evidence-based CBT interventions. We provide a range of intervention support and are partnered with the NHS, working alongside the Home Treatment Team who offer clinical governance. Additionally, we offer a range of services for people with mental ill health to become more connected to their local community, building on their social engagement. We also signpost to local services and host awareness days that are truly reflective of the community we support to break down stigma and discrimination offering support 24/7 with a staffed service to our residents aged 18 and upwards.
We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. You will also take responsibility for improving our internal communications, enhancing our reputation and supporting communications and relationships across the extensive Drive network of partners and beyond. You will be an experienced public affairs specialist with a background in policy influencing and have extensive contacts. You will build relationships with and work to support Respect, SafeLives, and Social Finance’s public affairs and comms teams and key audiences across the partnership to enhance our influence, reputation and profile both locally and nationally, and maintain good relationships with others who currently work on public affairs and policy issues across the Drive and Respect networks of stakeholders and partners. You will be joining the Partnership at an important time as we seek to seize the opportunities of a potential new government and wider sector interest in perpetrators of domestic abuse and ensure new commitments in the Domestic Abuse Act and the Tackling Domestic Abuse Plan deliver for victims and survivors.
