About the role

We are seeking a skilled Bid Writer to work alongside our Head of Business Development to secure vital funding through tenders and trusts and foundations. If you have experience of winning income for front line services (especially advocacy), we would be particularly delighted to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

î  Identify pipeline tenders.

About the role

The digital content officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality digital communications across website, email and social media channels. Working closely with the digital content manager and email marketing manager, you’ll help ensure all content is accurate, accessible, on-brand and delivered on time. This role is vital in keeping day-to-day digital activity running smoothly, enabling senior colleagues to focus on strategic development and optimisation.

Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity, based in Farnham, Surrey, is one of the leading charities in the UK empowering children and adults with dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties. We have a strong reputation built upon 50 years of pioneering work in this field. We currently provide direct support to over 1800 individuals with dyslexia each year.

We are looking for someone who will support our short courses administration as well as providing the administration for our shop; which is both on-line and in-person. The role is based full-time in our office in Farnham, and you will work closely with the team based there. A collaborative approach and commitment to Helen Arkell’s values is essential. You will be confident in multi-tasking and dealing with the public, as well as having good communication and digital skills.

Key Responsibilities

Courses

· Prepare for online and face-to-face courses including setting up webpage booking pages, answering enquiries, and preparing resources such as leaflets and handouts

· Process course bookings ensuring accurate records are maintained.

· Create events and host on-line courses via Zoom

· Support course delivery for both on-line and in-person events

· Manage the on-line, and on-demand course recordings access.

· Send out and collate feedback forms and certificates for courses

· Process applications for bursary places on courses

Shop

· Source, order and manage the stock (with the agreement of the Head of Education)

· Ensure that the shop is well presented and serve customers making purchases.

· Process orders received via our website, including packing and dispatching.

· Manage the Shop on our accounting system, Sage. Including updating the ledger daily,  updating the stock information and producing purchase orders.

· Manage the ‘till’ ensuring accurate records are maintained and systems agree.

Camden Disability Action (CDA) is looking for a friendly Digital Champion to support Disabled people to access technology and online services. We are looking for someone with lived experience of disability or a long-term health condition, who feels comfortable using everyday digital devices and explaining them in a patient and accessible way.You must be a Disabled person and/or have a long-term health condition to apply for this role.  

This role is all about digital inclusion, helping to remove barriers to technology, and ensuring Disabled people can access the digital world in ways that work for them.

As a Digital Champion, you will work closely with the Digital Inclusion Lead and Volunteers to deliver digital skills sessions twice a week. You will use both digital knowledge and excellent people skills to support Disabled adults to use everyday devices, such as smartphones, laptops and tablets. Outside the delivery of sessions, you will carry out light administration tasks and contribute to occasional digital events with partner organisations.

The role includes providing pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people with complex or multiple needs who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging, (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. The ISVA will work across London to provide non-judgmental, trauma-informed emotional support, working in partnership with other London sexual violence support services. 

Our ideal candidate will have experience in the ISVA role as well as a friendly and relational approach to working with clients.  You will have the ability to build trusting relationships, work in an empowering and inclusive way and support clients to heal following sexual abuse and develop coping capacity. You will be a self-motivated individual who will engage with a wider range of people who have experience sexual violence, and other barriers to justice.
