This is a permanent role within the Income Generation team, responsible for unlocking significant income from trusts and foundations to power the charity’s services future growth.  Working across the organisation, you will shape compelling funding opportunities, connect funders to real impact and help build a stronger, more ambitious grants programme.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a pivotal role responsible for driving significant income growth from Trusts and Foundations by developing and delivering a focused, high quality grants programme.  You will identify and secure funding for priority services, develop compelling cases for support and build strong, long-term relationships with funders.

You will take full ownership of the grants pipeline from opportunity identification through to submission and reporting, ensuring a disciplined, results-focussed approach to income generation.  As Line Manager of the Grants Team you will set clear direction, raise standards and deliver consistent performance against income targets.

• Develop and deliver a targeted Trusts and Foundations plan, prioritising opportunities aligned to organisational priorities and income potential.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Criteria:

• Significant experience securing income from Trusts and Foundations, including five and six figure gifts, both single and multi-year.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding income targets through a strategic, pipeline led approach.
• Strong experience of developing compelling, high-quality cases for support, funding applications and proposals.
• Ability to translate complex services and impact into clear, persuasive cases for support.
• Experience building and managing relationships with funders, securing repeat funding.
• Strong research and prioritisation skills, with the ability to assess opportunities effectively.
• Experience managing a pipeline of prospects, applications and renewals.
• Excellent written and communication skills with strong attention to detail.

We have a fantastic opportunity for several experienced Team Leaders to join our respite (Short breaks) service in Kensington.  The service is located near Ladbroke Grove and Latimer Road tube stations. 

The short breaks service offers crisis and planned stays to adults with learning disabilities in Kensington. The Team Leaders manage our short breaks service ensuring safe, person-centred, and high-quality support for adults with learning disabilities. 

About the role:

The Team Leader is responsible for offering a creative and flexible response to ever changing complex demands which include meeting guest’s needs within the environment. We require experienced Team Leaders to help run the short breaks service.

The Team Leader acts as the “person in charge” for the service during their shift — coordinating staff deployment, managing admissions and discharges, ensuring accurate recording and communication, and promoting a positive and enabling environment for guests and staff. 

We require x4 Team leaders and each team leader will work a 5-day week (37.5 hours per week) with a mixture of days, evenings, nights and weekends on a rota basis.  Weekends will rotate approximately working 1 to 2 weekends per month.  Team Leaders will work 1 week of nights shifts approximately every 6 weeks. The people we support require team members that can work flexibly as they will need support through the day and the night.

Team Leader supports the Registered Service Manager to ensure that your team deliver on quality improvement, and safeguarding, managing the budget of the service and the personal finances of people you support. You lead the management of Health and Safety in the service.  The role requires you to create a harmonious, open, and positive working environment, where people are confident to speak up. 

The role requires you to work with people who need assistance with every aspect of daily living, supporting complex health conditions, assisting people with sensory loss and communication challenges as well as with people who are significantly more independent but vulnerable to coercion and control and who may reject support. People want to be part of the community and to develop independence skills and so understanding the principles of doing with and not for is important.

You will be part of a large team and working as partners with professionals and families and so your communication skills and level of professionalism must be at the highest level. Being a team player who can take on additional responsibilities based on a key working model is also a requirement.

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to develop strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. • Lead face-to-face solicitations and gift negotiations.

3. Corporate Fundraising & Partnerships

• Develop and implement a corporate fundraising strategy aligned to Brainkind’s mission and values.
• Secure new corporate partnerships including strategic, multi-year, and employee engagement partnerships.
• Develop sponsorship opportunities linked to capital projects, events, and services.
• Manage key account relationships and ensure high-quality reporting and impact demonstration.
• Explore cause-related marketing and CSR partnership opportunities.

4. Strategy & Collaboration

• Contribute to the overall fundraising strategy and annual income planning.
• Collaborate with communications and service teams to develop impactful donor materials.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and pipeline management using CRM systems.
• Maintain compliance with fundraising regulation and best practice

Strategic Leadership

• Contribute to, develop and deliver a multi-year fundraising strategy to achieve sustainable income growth.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Membership, this role is central to ensuring high-quality membership operations, including accurate data management, subscription collection, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and highly organised operations professional with a strong background in membership or customer operations, ideally within a complex or high-volume environment. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of CRM systems (preferably Salesforce), payment processes, operational governance and data protection/GDPR, alongside proven experience of improving systems, workflows and cyclical operational processes.

The role will be responsible for working across a large and complex organisation with a newly launched strategy, to identify and develop compelling narratives and strategic, transformational propositions that will enable them to secure significant funding across all income streams.
