This role will lead the development and successful rollout of Aurora Nexus Fundraising and Engagement strategy, annual plans, generation income and key project work which aim to deliver significant net income growth and increase awareness by maximising local and regional support.
This is a new post within the charity created in response to an emerging need to diversify our income streams. We are seeking to appoint an experienced individual to deliver grant bid writing and to take the lead on the development and implementation of fundraising initiatives to maximise and increase income.
The successful post-holder will join and be an integral part of the Management team.
This post will support Aurora Nexus with its grant fundraising activity as an essential income stream for the charity, including managing and monitoring the bidding process to maximise the success rate of applications. The post holder will also monitor and undertake all reporting on funding to others both within and outside the organisation.
Job Description
- · To work with the Executive team to secure funding from grants.
- · To ensure that a database of funders, opportunities and grant applications is created and maintained to a very high standard.
- · To draft grant proposals to the highest standards to meet the requirements of the funder and the organisation in order to ensure successful bids.
- · To ensure applications are specifically researched and tailored in each instance, including addressing grant making priorities and /or requirements as specified by individual trusts, foundations or grant making bodies.

Thomas Pocklington Trust is a national charity dedicated to delivering positive change for blind and partially sighted people.
This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our Sight Loss Councils growth strategy in the region.
This role will support the Senior Engagement Manager (SEM) for the West Midlands to manage the Staffordshire and Birmingham & Black Country Sight Loss Councils (SLC) and set up and additional SLC in Coventry and Warwickshire.
The role is full time, and we will be looking to appoint at up to £27,000 per annum.
Sight Loss Councils (SLCs) are regional groups led by blind and partially sighted people. Together, they work with organisations to ensure what they do is accessible and inclusive.
There are currently around 25 SLCs across the country and we have plans to grow this further over the next 3 years.
National themes addressed by all SLCs are accessible public transport and street safety so everyone can travel independently and safely, and health and fitness. We also work to increase the accessibility of shopping, museums and galleries, depending on local area needs.
We are now seeking someone with the passion to help us progress this work across the region, through a person-centred approach.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with volunteers with a visual impairment or additional needs. They will have proven experience of developing and delivering social action projects and have supported with planning and delivering events. Main purpose of the role:
The Volunteer Facilitator will provide effective coordination, administration and support to volunteers including recruitment and orientation. You will link with local groups and volunteer networks to promote opportunities within L'Arche. Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. Job Purpose
Growing Hope is a national charity with a growing number of clinics across the UK. This operations role will provide support across the Growing Hope national staff team. This will include support with administration, finance, fundraising and training. This role is key in enabling all the functions of the national charity to run smoothly and effectively. The role will be based in King’s Cross with occasional events outside of the office.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will be discussed and developed as the charity continues to grow. It is anticipated that this time will be flexible and adjusted according to the needs and priorities at the time. Specifically the role with include:
IT administration
- Administration of IT systems, logins and spreadsheets for the team, volunteers, staff and freelancers (keeping these up to date and amending systems as required).

- Oversight of IT systems used by Growing Hope including ticket tailor, jot form, mail chimp, Microsoft office, google adverts and tracking. Supporting with problem solving when issues arise.
- Overseeing and training others in Canopy (clinic administration software) and helping support and problem solve with using this. This includes liaising with a freelance software developer to manage the development project.
HR administration
- Oversight of the recruitment checking process for new volunteers, trustees, freelancers and employees. This includes carrying out DBS checks, calling referees, chasing for references and communicating with individuals as they start with Growing Hope.
- Management of the ‘internal news’ list in order to track individuals working closely with the charity.
- Writing, drafting and sending out HR letters, contracts and contract variations.
- Organising internal events on behalf of the team including away days, training days and ad hoc events.
- Organising online training as required for members of the Growing Hope team.
Office Support
- Overseeing the day to day office and building use including the alarm, maintenance visits, wifi, printer and other equipment. This includes liaising with other individuals who have office use.
- Liaising with the Director of Operations around the use of the office.
- Ordering office supplies as required, ensuring office space and storage is kept organised.

The Operations Volunteering Experience Coordinator helps people with sight loss live the life they choose by ensuring volunteers in Operations-based roles are set up for success by preparing and training them for their role. Once in their role, they will support a positive volunteering experience by working to retain, further utilize and develop our volunteers in their role and wider into the Guide Dog family and community. Without our volunteers, none of our services would be possible.
We currently have 2 roles available one would work across the two teams in Sheffield & Notthingham; and the other to work across the two teams in Atherton & Liverpool. A typical fortnight would include days working from the office, days in the community, and some home working. The role holder will manage the time and location of their working days.

We are seeking 2 Specialist ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) to join our Advocacy team at Respond. The role includes providing pro-active emotional, practical and advocacy support for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people with complex or multiple needs who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging, (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. The ISVA will work across London to provide non-judgmental, trauma-informed emotional support, working in partnership with other London sexual violence support services.
Our ideal candidate will have a friendly and relational approach to working with clients. You will have the ability to build trusting relationships, work in an empowering and inclusive way and support clients to heal following sexual abuse and develop coping capacity. You will be a self-motivated individual who will engage with a wider range of people who have experience sexual violence, and other barriers to justice.

Working in the Brand, Communications & Marketing Team, our new Digital Communications Officer will play a key role in supporting the achievement of our external promotion strategy. The post holder will work with the Communications and Marketing Manager in developing our digital channels to promote our charity and the work we do, grow Hft’s reach to new audiences, boost engagement with supporters, and achieve our strategic goals.
This might mean planning and delivering campaigns via our social media channels, identifying creative and compelling ways to share stories and content across our website, or working alongside internal stakeholders to build and manage advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google AdWords or Meta's Ads Manager. What will you be doing?
Reporting into the Deputy Director of Communications and Fundraising, this is a fantastic opportunity to establish and strengthen Hft’s relationship with politicians, policymakers. As Policy and Public Affairs Officer you will monitor parliamentary activity, consultations and policy developments to inform Hft’s campaign and communications activity.
The role is varied, often working with multiple and complex priorities, using the insight gained through public insight to inform integrated campaigns that raise awareness of the critical issues and the needs of people with learning disabilities.
You will be confident at building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, with a core understanding of UK political systems and processes, and how public affairs and campaign tactics operates.

About the role
Working in the People Operations team, the Employee Relations Advisor plays a crucial role in maintaining positive employee relations. The role is responsible for promoting working relationships, resolving conflict and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
The role provides an opportunity to guide and support managers and employees on various employee relations matters within Hft. You will be a trusted member of the People Operations Team, providing a responsive and proactive service. In this varied role, you will support in embedding employment legislation and best practice in terms of talent management, employee relations, employee wellbeing and support with the implementation of the People Strategy.
If you have proven experience within Employee Relations or Human Resources, with in-depth knowledge of employment law, regulations, HR policies and procedures, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with employees and managers then we would like to hear from you!
