Lamp, an established Community Mental Health Advocacy charity, is seeking to appoint a Head of Advocacy and Support.
Earlier this year we received confirmation of a three-year funding agreement from the National Lottery Community Fund to provide our community mental health advocacy service across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.
We are looking for an inspiring, highly committed individual to lead the delivery of this service, lead the development of new services through which to support the people in our community, and as a member of the charity’s Leadership Team, play an active role in further growing our role in the community.
To do this you will lead a small team comprising of Community Mental Health Advocates and Information and Advice Officers. You will be instrumental in shaping how the team delivers services, piloting new ideas and projects, and generating new opportunities to develop advocacy and mental health support.

Since 2013, Arts Emergency has been providing 16-25 year olds in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and beyond with a trained mentor working in their field of interest. We are seeking a Head of Brand and Marketing to join our Engagement Team at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association. This role is pivotal in building the Association's brand and developing a marketing strategy that amplifies our impact for those living with and affected by MND.
You will be a powerful advocate of the strategic importance of a strong, aligned, and consistent brand. You will be responsible for the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns that maximise the Association's ability to raise income, provide services and win support for campaigns to make life better for people living with and affected by MND. Achieving clear goals and providing leadership and direction to the marketing and brand teams.
Collaboration is key - you'll work closely with internal stakeholders, including our Head of Communications, to enhance our visibility through targeted campaigns and public awareness-raising activities. Ensuring our external-facing activities feel coherent and coordinated, supporting the building of the brand and the success of our products and services.
Your responsibilities will include developing annual marketing and content plans, overseeing the development and delivery of multi-platform content. You will lead integrated marketing campaigns and an audience-first approach to enable insight-driven marketing activities to evidence our impact, ROI, and drive engagement.
Building relationships is at the core of this role. You'll engage with senior stakeholders to promote the importance of brand strategy in achieving our organisational objectives. Main Role Responsibilities
- To work with the Head of Commercial and Events on the development of the commercial strategy with the support of Trustees, the senior leadership team, members and other staff and stakeholders as necessary.
- To be responsible for identifying and delivering key income streams, as outlined in the commercial strategy to meet agreed financial targets and KPIs.
- To manage existing and develop new relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfactions whilst achieving and maximising income opportunities.
- Measure and evaluate the success of the commercial strategy business development and income generation workstreams.
- To represent the NFCC to corporate audiences and at corporate events, delivering pitches and presentations.
- To continually be researching new business opportunities for specific target markets.
- To develop new corporate partnerships through relationship building.
- To be responsible for the account management of appropriate partnerships and provide the highest level of relationship management.
- Preparation of reports, briefing papers and other information on various matters, when required.to the senior management team and Trustees including liaison with senior members and officers across the National Fire Chiefs Council, other relevant staff across Fire and Rescue Services.
- Act as liaison and first point of contact for commercial enquiries into the NFCC and dealing with them as appropriate. Enquiries may be from within the organisation, other fire and rescue services or elsewhere.
- To create and assist in the drafting of timely and well-informed reports, business cases and provide advice regarding commercial developments.
- Develop an effective network with Fire and Rescue Service sector groups and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain management processes and systems that provide for clear and understandable management information.

You should be skilled of using project management skills to maintain transparency and accountability of work projects. Proficiency in budget management across various portfolios to ensure adherence to financial allocations is essential. Additionally, you should demonstrate a commitment to inclusivity and sensitivity to the diverse needs of stakeholders. Your skill set should include the ability to foster relationships conducive to transitioning contracts to new work providers and ensuring stakeholder engagement throughout the delivery process. You should have experience of building internal relationships with corporate services to facilitate the best outcomes for staff, volunteers, and service users. Knowledge of public sector commissioning within the UK is desirable but not essential.
