The Major Giving Department at the NSPCC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to become part of the Statutory Team, securing significant income from national, devolved and local government, research grant-makers and commercial tenders.
The Senior Public Sector Development Manager will work with the Lead for Public Sector Development, the Associate Head of Philanthropy, another Senior Public Sector Development Manager and two Public Sector Development Managers towards a shared income target of around £5 million per annum. These funds will create ground-breaking NSPCC projects that support millions of children, and help prevent abuse across the UK.
The recruited fundraiser will work at both a national and local level to lead on securing six and seven-figure grants to help the Statutory team achieve its annual income target. Working across the charity, they will build relationships with senior stakeholders, and source and share information with funders through engaging written materials, phone conversations and face-to-face meetings. Alongside managing their own portfolio, they will think strategically and lead on maximising new public sector funding streams.
The Major Giving Department is open and supportive with an active social life. The wider Trusts & Statutory Team has grown considerably - increasing its annual income by more than £6 million since 2017/18. With bespoke training opportunities, room for significant development and growth, and the support of colleagues and resource teams, the role will provide the opportunity to make a positive change for children and families across the UK.
The successful candidate will have:
- A track record of successfully bidding for six and/or seven-figure donations

There are currently 2.9 million people in the world living with MS and currently there is no cure. But, Overcoming MS provides hope through lifestyle changes which are backed by scientific research and which enables sufferers to lead a full and healthy life with MS.
Reporting to the CEO and managing a small team of two, we are looking for support to create long-term and sustainable income streams that allow us to plan for strategic growth. This is likely to involve building a pipeline of corporate partners, major donors, and legacy pledgers to grow income over the medium to longer term as well as managing and developing relationships with prospective high value donors.
The appointed candidate is likely to bring demonstrable experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategies, regularly reviewing them and monitoring against KPIs. You are likely to be a strategic and creative thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit in order to be able to identify and harness new opportunities and trends to drive income growth. As such a solid understanding of income generation opportunities outside of regular fundraising income streams would be helpful.

This is an exciting role to work with a wide range of providers and system influencers to develop and grow our mental health workforce in Kent and Medway. Working within the NHS Talking Therapies Services, you will have the opportunity to design and lead our workforce strategy.
The role will focus on developing an ambitious and forward-thinking strategy, working with providers, commissioners and universities to improve the size of the NHS Talking Therapies clinical workforce.
Since 1 April 2024, WithYou has been working in partnership with Vita Health Group (the lead provider across Kent and Medway) and IESO to deliver the new NHS Kent and Medway Talking Therapies Services.

REQUIRED SKILLS
What we’re looking for
You will hold an NVQ Level 3 in management and leadership, or equivalent and have experience working in a leadership role within the NHS Talking Therapies service. We are looking for someone who has experience in recruiting clinical staff within the Talking Therapies service, and who has strong organisation and project management skills.
You will excel in building relationships across a complex range of stakeholders and will be able to bring passion and vision to driving change in how we build and develop the NHS Talking Therapies workforce across the Kent and Medway area.
Above all, we are looking for someone passionate about what we do, and with a positive and engaging approach.
