The organisation is transitioning away from being a association-management / volunteer-led model to a small secretariat, hiring its first CEO and five other positions, including this most senior finance role. You will lead on the transition process covering all aspects of financial management, to ensure the Society’s financial integrity and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial transition to an in-house model.
- Creating and testing all internal processes.
- Oversee Statutory accounts, budgeting, credit control, financial reporting and compliance.
- Manage payroll and pension scheme implementation.
- Forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and support with audit.
- Investigate potential new income generation schemes with CEO.
Requirements:

Key responsibilities

The Senior Shop Manager will have a minimum of three years' experience managing a charity or clothing retail store. The successful post holder will have experience in cybertil systems, an understanding of charity retail and solid customer service experience. You will have experience successfully managing staff and volunteers and demonstrate understanding and respect for NOAH Enterprise's values of Care, Compassion, and Commitment. The ideal candidate would have some knowledge and understanding of Fundraising and Marketing.
The role will be based in Hertfordshire where the new flagship store will be opening (exact location TBC). The successful post holder will need to take a flexible approach to working hours (within the scope of the agreed working week) and will need to work evenings and weekends on occasion. There is a TOIL policy in place for any additional hours worked. Occasional travel will be required for meetings, staff days and training. The organisation is looking for EDI professional to build on thier journey, reflecting on the organisations strategic commitment to dismantle inequality and focus on action. You will develop the next EDI strategy to ensure they continue to develop a culture that is inclusive for everyone who works, and engages, with the organisation. You will work across teams to provide vision and direction in this work and drive forward change agendas.
The successful candidate will have developed and implemented an EDI strategy at a senior level with experience managing change initiatives, leading and inspiring staff and facilitating activities across national operations. You will have a deep understanding and knowledge of EDI legislation, policies and best practices as well as approaches to systems change.

We are looking for a Major gifts Manager in Scotland for an incredible animal charity, to join a team and secure income from high net worth individuals.
This is a home based role within Scotland, key activity areas are Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, and travel between these areas will be required.

The Role
Support the Regional Major Gifts Team in delivering the major donor elements of the fundraising strategy to secure c£400k per year.
Manage a portfolio of existing major donors and prospects and ensure a first- class cultivation and stewardship journey.
Attend meetings with existing and new donors, developing bespoke, personalised written communications and proposals, preparing budgets and proposals to accompany approaches.
Be responsible for stewarding existing major donors in Scotland and recruiting new high-net worth supporters, through creative engagement techniques and the development of trusted relationships.
The Candidate
Proactive, ambitious team player, able to work from own initiative.
A track record of relationship development and securing gifts from individuals or corporations to meet targets.
Experience of making successful asks through written and/or verbal proposals.
The ability to be articulate and persuasive with a range of stakeholders.
