QAC is a charity that runs a college, supported living (known as Independence Plus) and community services for young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

The College has been at its current location since 1903. Our original purpose was to provide education for young people who were blind or visually impaired. Today, in addition to supporting people who have a visual impairment, we offer education, support and guidance for students on the autism spectrum, those with moderate to severe learning difficulties, and students with physical and other disabilities.  We have a large, skilled and diverse staff team who can meet a diverse range of student needs.  As QAC has grown, we now have new educational and learning sites.  As well as the more well-known campus in Harborne, there is the QAC Pinewood campus (dedicated to employment progression) in nearby Woodgate valley and in addition, QAC Umberslade campus (dedicated to horticulture and outdoor learning), in nearby Selly Oak.  QAC offers a broad range of study programmes that are tailored to ensure each student receives the educational, therapeutic and support services that they require, helping them achieve their aspirations for adult life. 

Our supported living programmes (Independent Plus) and Community Services offers support after leaving college and to those from within the local community. The marketing and communications team is responsible for marketing QAC services with the main focus being on student recruitment. Following a recent re-brand, the post holder will also be integral in ensuring an efficient and effective roll out of the new branding.

QAC also has an enterprise arm consisting of Sight Village (a touring exhibition supporting those with sight loss), All Formats (a transcription service) and Carbon Fibre Canes.  These are all supported by the Marketing and Communications Team.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

You will be responsible for identifying requirements, analysing processes, and recommending solutions to improve efficiency, productivity and effectiveness of the Oracle solution within the organisation.

You will also ensure end-end processes are appropriately documented, maintained and effective, identifying areas for improvement and utilising critical thinking abilities to dissect complex problems and propose appropriate solutions.

The role will also involve facilitating stakeholder engagement, conducting workshops and interviews, and collaborating with our Oracle Implementation partner to assess and validate proposed solutions.

As Product Manager for digital learning, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our Sustainable Laboratories learning and certification products. To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in educational technology, product development, and digital learning platforms, as well as commercial and financial acumen and a passion for delivering engaging and effective learning experiences.

The Senior Fundraising Officer will play a key role in the Fundraising Team helping to generate significant and increased income from charitable trusts and foundations and corporate partners.

The role will be responsible for ensuring a regular pipeline of new and existing income from both areas and ensuring partners are stewarded appropriately to maximise engagement with the charity’s aims and objectives.

The post holder will:

• Identify, research and develop new trusts and foundations leads.

The role will own and manage the evaluation of an innovative and impact-driven leadership development programme and will work closely with the Programme Director on its successful delivery. The role will also manage communications and stakeholder reporting for the programme.

The aim of this new Wellcome Trust-funded Leadership Development programme is to support senior research leaders in leading positive cultural change and enhancing cross-sector working. The programme will help to foster a thriving research environment within the University and lessons learned will be shared with other institutions to further aid ongoing research culture development in the sector. The programme team will develop an institution-wide leadership programme that is tailored to the situations and barriers encountered by researchers across all disciplines.

The Leadership Programme Specialist is responsible for the evaluation, documentation, and reporting for the Leadership Development programme. This role involves creating comprehensive learning history reports, developing reporting for senior stakeholders and funders, and establishing a learning platform and toolkit for programme participants. Additionally, the postholder will stay abreast of the latest thinking and materials in leadership development to incorporate into programme content. They will also create articles and marketing/communications materials to promote the programme and its impact.

This role requires strong organisational skills, a confident knowledge of evaluation processes, a keen understanding of leadership development principles, and excellent communication abilities to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders. You will be part of a small but energetic team who work flexibly and collaboratively to achieve their goals

Just Transition role key information:

This is a part-time, fixed-term staff role, with the possibility of extension, depending on funding. There is also the possibility that this could be a freelance role, please indicate in your application if this is something you would be interested in. 

• 22.5 hours (3 days) per week

We are looking for passionate and qualified A level tutors to deliver high quality small group tuition to our cohort of over 800 students. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced tutors with a love of learning to work with bright students whilst earning a competitive market rate for their tuition expertise. Tutorials are delivered online in groups of 2-4 students via our bespoke online platform. 

Tutors should be able to commit to a minimum of three hours per week, between the hours of 4pm and 8pm on a weekday, to tutor The Access Project students.

The programme combats educational inequality and improves social mobility by raising students’ grades and supporting them to understand the pathway to a top university. Students who receive support from our programme are almost twice as likely to attend top universities as statistically similar students, according to UCAS.

Tutor Responsibilities

• Adhere to the charity’s safeguarding policies, including undertaking an Enhanced DBS check
• Schedule tutorials with your tutor groups 
• Responsively plan and deliver stimulating, high-quality tuition in line with our Tuition Quality Framework 
• Deliver weekly hour-long tutorials via The Access Project’s online platform 
• Complete weekly attendance forms 
• Provide feedback on student progress 
• Supply monthly invoices

Person Specification 

• UK based with the right to work in the UK 
• Passionate about The Access Project’s mission 

• A level teaching and/or extensive tutoring experience (minimum of two years) in a group setting 
• Positive, engaging and flexible teaching style 
• Familiarity with and strong knowledge of relevant exam boards and specifications 
• Achieved a minimum of Grade B at GCSE in Maths, English and Science 
• Evidence of ability to tutor one of the following subjects to A Level standard: Biology, Chemistry, Economics, English, French, Further Maths, Geography, History, Maths, Physics, Politics, Psychology, Sociology and Spanish. 
• Ability to commit to weekly hour-long tutorials at the same time each week over the academic year

Prior’s Court is seeking a new Grants Fundraising Lead. In this exciting role, you will manage and implement the strategy for securing funds from charitable Trusts, Foundations, and other Grant makers. In addition, you will lead on the development of a new Major Donor income stream.

Role responsibilities

Finance:

• Develop and oversee the day-to-day accounting and manage monthly and annual closing and annual accounts
• Prepare annual budget and regular forecast updates and provide updates to budget holders
• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Manage contracts with clients (partner schools, parents and Swedish municipalities)
• Oversee school fee billing each school term and ensure all fees and extras are collected in liaison with the Finance Assistant
• Manage the collection of fees and credit control procedures
• Maintaining cash flow projections for the current and future years
• Prepare annual salary review

Operations Management

• Contract management, including overseeing purchase procedures
• Oversee and plan future investment needs of premises and other fixed assets.
• Manage the Finance Assistant and Site-Manager/Caretaker
• Work successfully with Swedish and English authorities, and other relevant stakeholders

General

• Ensure the school effectively and efficiently operates within the required regulatory frameworks and meets all statutory duties

About you

• Be fully CCAB qualified

The Programmes Administrator will be in charge of the smooth running of 1MM Mentoring Programmes in London, including the supporting of mentors & mentees through their journey. By ensuring a fast and effective onboarding process, timely communication, and ongoing support for our participants the Programmes Administrator will assist the Regional Manager with maximising the positive impact of 1MM’s mentoring programmes. This role reports to the Head of Delivery.
