Age UK is offering an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to develop and deliver funded programmes. This 12 month fixed term contract role will work across a variety of projects aimed at improving older people's wellbeing and will partner with teams from across the organisation to develop new programmes responding to the changing needs of older people.
Working closely with Age UK's Network of 130+ local and independent Network Partners, this role will work across the life cycle of projects, ranging from the development of new concepts through to the implementation and delivery of funded projects. The focus of the role will change according to the needs of the department and the needs of older people in the future.
The successful candidate would enjoy taking the initiative in challenging circumstances and working in a fast-paced environment. Must haves:

The Charity Shop Manager (Cover) role, will be guaranteed 8.5 hours a week in our Hornsey charity shop. Harington is an Ofsted regulated specialist college and charity based in north London, working with young people with learning differences aged 16-25. Our students undertake individualised learning programmes that lead to vocational qualifications and other aims, including gardening, retail, English, maths, employability and independent living. We also deliver a supported internship programme.
Our charity's learning centres in Highgate and Hornsey alongside our charity's gardening business and two charity shops, provide a unique opportunity for students to practically apply their learning on work experience placements. We support children and young people (up to the age of 25) when someone important to them has died or is not expected to live, and parents and the wider family when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying.

Child Bereavement UK is delighted to have been awarded a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund and we are now starting the process of establishing a new Bereavement Support Service in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to join Child Bereavement UK as we look to recruit a full time Bereavement Support Service Lead, to lead and manage a team to set up a new service in Birmingham that will provide bereavement support to individuals, couples, families and in group settings.
The postholder will lead in the provision, coordination, evaluation and ongoing development of a new bereavement support service in Birmingham. The new service will ensure that families and professionals can access high-quality bereavement support when a baby or child has died, or when children or young people are bereaved. They will also support the strategic development of the Charity’s service in Birmingham.
In this role you will:
- Lead/manage/contribute to establishing and developing the provision of a blended model of bereavement support in Birmingham
- Provide training, consultancy and support for professionals whose work brings them into contact with bereaved families
- Collaborate with partners to establish and develop a bereavement support services in Birmingham
- Work closely with The National Lottery Community Fund to ensure all outcomes of the project are achieved through regular monitoring and reporting.

You will be responsible for delivering the monthly Management Accounts pack as having the opportunity to build relationships and be the finance lead for various areas of the business.
Day to day duties include:
- Deliver the monthly Management Accounts pack by gathering the outputs of the finance function
- Overseeing the full annual audit process
- Line manage and develop 2 Accounts Assistant's
- Continuous improvement of the management accounting process and reporting
- Improve and develop reporting, dashboards and management information
- Lead system and process improvements to enable more accurate information
- Assist with regular rolling forecasts
- Provide business cases analysis, investment appraisals and other analysis for decision makers
- Partner with Heads of Departments in modelling financial and strategic decisions
Essentials:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
- Management Accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience
- Experience dealing with restricted funding
- Post qualified experience within a non-profit organisation

- As the Technical Accountant you will ensure the system build complies with current group reporting standards and will adapt to the upcoming changes to FRS 102. - You will be the Finance Transformation Lead during the development of and transition to Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations from the current system. The project is due for delivery in mid-2025 and you will work closely with the third-party implementation team and the project team responsible for delivering the statement of work.
- As the Transformation Lead you will be involved in a number of projects associated with this programme, one project will be to support the Finance team and Implementation team in the development of the internal control framework, Chart of Account, Ledger set up, authorisation routings and other data structures for a D365 F&O environment. A second on-going project will be the development of a suite of Financial Reports and Dashboards across all Finance functional areas.
- A key deliverable for you as the Transformation Lead will be to bring together all the key stakeholders and design a system that delivers the end to end transactional processes and reporting structures and controls required for an organisation that has charitable status.

To support this new strategy and to develop our fundraising further, we are now looking for a proactive and experienced grants fundraiser to join our Development and Corporate Partnerships Team on a 12-month contract in a new and pivotal role. During this initial 12 months you will be working to develop and implement a new plan which will significantly increase funding for our core scientific research from research bodies and other funding sources, develop support for our sustainability projects, and secure new institutional and government funding for our national education programmes.
Reporting into the Head of Trusts and Statutory Funding and based either at our headquarters in London, or at RHS Garden Wisley in Surrey, you will work closely with our science and education departments, collaorating with colleagues to develop a strong pipeline of sustainable and long-term funding for our programmes, core activities and new initiatives. You will be familiar with fundraising for scientific research and other core programmes and be able to utilise your existing experience and networks across a broad range of funding sectors.
