As CEO, you will lead the operational and strategic running of the charity, make sure that the organisation runs well every day and that it has the people, systems and income to grow.

The ideal candidate will have :

• Significant experience of leading at senior level in a charity, social enterprise, public or community organisation. This might be as a Chief Officer, Director or Head of a significant function with clear accountability for people, budgets and organisational performance.
• Experience of working directly with or supporting a Board of Trustees or similar governing body, including preparing papers, giving honest advice and implementing decisions.
• Experience of organisational development or change, for example improving systems, structures, culture or ways of working in a small organisation.
• Understanding of the issues faced by LGBTQIA+ people, including those who are Black or from other communities of colour, disabled people and people with insecure immigration status, and a commitment to intersectional practice.

The Development Office at Oundle School is looking for Deputy Director of Development who will be instrumental in advancing our philanthropic goals and will support the management and running of its driven and friendly team.

THE ROLE

The Deputy Director of Development will play a key part in helping us achieve our philanthropic goals. This role provides a real opportunity to make a tangible difference: devising and shaping strategy, driving forward our stewardship and legacies programme, building key relationships with major donors, and working closely with the Director of Development on the next advances in this vital area of the school’s work.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic relationship manager who is highly motivated, creative, and intellectually curious, with experience of working within a fundraising or relatable field. We are looking for a dedicated colleague who will enjoy working across a vibrant constituency within a beautiful architectural setting to deepen philanthropic relationships between the school and its alumni and parent body.

While this role is 40 hours per week, year round, we are open to discussion about working arrangements including hybrid working to attract a candidate who can help us achieve our ambitions.

About this exciting opportunity

Working as part of a multi-agency team, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or being released from prison.  You will undertake assessment and action planning with individual service users, create a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users, plus deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards achievement of prescribed outcomes.

We will also count on you to develop and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies, including probation, prisons, partners, and others who will assist in achieving prescribed outcomes for service users, ensuring you work towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales.  Using agreed CRM databases and recording all activity relating to caseload and providing updates and reports are also key duties.

What we are looking for

• Experience working with partner agencies either as part of a multi-agency team working towards common objectives or negotiating to establish links to further the aims of a project
• L3 in Advice and Guidance or equivalent
• The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support through action planning and interventions involving advice, guidance, advocacy, and coaching
• An ability to work sensitively with clients applying trauma-informed strategies
• Impressive IT, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written

About the role:

You will act as subject matter expert to deliver a best-in-class business planning and budgeting process that leads us into delivering on our strategic plan. 

You will be ensuring that management reporting and financial management tools are fit for purpose, contributing to cross-functional performance improvement and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and best value for the organisation. Engaging with Budget Holders and other stakeholders as a strategic partner to develop and maintain a consistent business partnering agenda through the year, providing financial insights that support high level decision making.

What you will be doing:

Budgeting and Forecast 

• Deliver a collaborative annual planning and budgeting process that ensures delivery of the business and financial strategy and re-forecasts as required. 

 Accounting and Performance Management: 

• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts to deadlines for review by the Head of Finance / CFO, identifying key variances and issues affecting financial performance, whilst looking for improvement opportunities. 

• To deliver a periodic reporting process that is timely and accurate, engaging with heads of departments (budget holders) to build on and develop existing reporting. 

• To contribute to the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts and associated audit processes. 

• To develop and deliver a suite of financial performance metrics in line with best practice. This will include development of cost allocation methodologies and balanced scorecard elements aligned to strategic reporting. 

 Financial Planning and Analysis 

• Support the preparation of financial forecasts and scenario modelling.

• Engage with the Head of Finance and CFO to deliver a shared understanding of future incomes and expenditure and to introduce planning methods to rapidly flex the organisation to meet the uncertainties in such forecasts. 

• Providing financial insights to support the preparation of business cases within the organisation for capital and revenue initiatives. 

 Financial Analysis 

• To provide analysis of income, charitable expenditure, support, governance and other costs with meaningful commentary and trend analysis. 

• Provide Motability with high quality data analytics and reporting that drive evidence-based decision making to maximise impact and value for money. 

• Support any shift in operating model, so that Motability maintains clear sight of its impact and value for money. 

• Support Motability in maintaining and improving an open and high performing culture focused on beneficiaries and the difference Motability can make for them. 

 Payroll: 

• To contribute to the preparation and review of the monthly payroll, including starters and leavers, and statutory returns. 

• To contribute to headcount and employment cost projections and modelling. 

Your experience:

Must haves:  

• Recognised CCAB Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). 

• Periodic reporting, budget and forecast preparation with variance analysis and commentary. 

• Delivering a successful business partnering agenda for budget holders and non-finance staff with the ability to communicate key financial messages and influence management action. 

• Some experience, or understanding, of Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, with the ability to build dashboards, manage certified datasets, and contribute to governed reporting environments. 

• Sage 200 accounting package experience. 

• Microsoft Excel – intermediate to advanced level. 

• Able to work confidently with a range of senior stakeholders on operational and financial data to arrive at measures of impact whilst also able to support a new manager with their first budget. 

• A collaborative working style, contributing to a cultureof active learning andcontinuous improvement. 

 Nice to haves: 

• Experience of charity fund accounting, grant accounting, partnerships and allocation mechanisms. 

• Some exposure to value for money and impact studies.

We are recruiting for an Assistant Shop Manager to join a busy and creative team in Islington. You will join an exciting team and collaborate to build a group of volunteers from all walks of life, raising money to fund Crisis’ work ending homelessness. We are bold with a culture of continuous review and improvement, where we try new things, take risks, and sometimes fail. There will be numerous opportunities to improve our team’s effectiveness. We also work closely with local artists and universities. We’d love you to bring your own ideas, along with your experience of fashion, retail and current trends, to this role. You will have opportunities to build your own skills and career progression through training and development – many of our shop managers were promoted internally. Ensuring our recruitment practices are as equitable as possible is our number one priority so we are looking for someone who advocates for others and challenges injustice.

You will be primarily based in the Islington shop, but you may be required to travel to other shops within London 1 & 2 on a short-term basis.

To be successful in this role you will have retail experience at a supervisory level alongside a genuine interest in charity retail. We are particularly interested in meeting candidates with an interest or background in visual merchandising, although this is not essential. About The Role

About the role

The Digital Asset Management Officer (Platform Lead) will take ownership of WaterAid’s new Digital Asset Management (DAM) system hosted on Orange Logic, ensuring it meets the needs of a global communications and fundraising directorate.

This is a 6-month fixed-term role focused on completing the implementation and rollout of the system, embedding new ways of working, and ensuring the organisation can confidently and consistently access its best photography, film, design and document assets.

In this role, you will:

• Complete the final configuration of WaterAid’s DAM system, including collections, metadata structures, keywording, tagging, access levels and workflows.
• Ensure new content is uploaded, processed, accurately tagged and made accessible on an ongoing basis, preventing backlogs and ensuring uninterrupted use of the system during the transition period.
• Lead the day-to-day running of the DAM, providing hands-on support, troubleshooting issues and maintaining high standards of data quality, usability and compliance.
• Develop and deliver training, guidance and support to teams across WaterAid UK, country programme offices and member offices, driving adoption and confident use of the platform.
• Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion, ethical storytelling and safeguarding in the management and use of all digital assets.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need;

• Proven experience configuring and managing a Digital Asset Management system, including hands-on responsibility for uploading, processing, metadata, tagging and keywording.

• Strong technical understanding of DAM platforms, ideally including Orange Logic or a comparable enterprise system.
• Experience working with creative content workflows, including photography, film, design files and associated rights, consents and metadata.
• A process-driven approach with excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to support, train and advise users with varying levels of technical confidence.

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• Experience implementing or rolling out a DAM system within a global organisation or NGO.
• Knowledge of ethical content practices, GDPR and representation standards in relation to imagery and film.
• Experience delivering training or onboarding programmes for digital platforms or content systems.

Overview

At Young Roots, we want to see a compassionate and welcoming society for young people seeking safety. We work alongside young refugees and asylum seekers in the UK, building trusted relationships, providing practical and emotional support and promoting young people's rights and power. 

Our youth hubs and casework are transformative for young refugees, enabling young people who have fled danger, experienced traumatic journeys, and are often here alone to find community and connection, a space to be a young person, and access support to address a range of practical challenges they face. We also draw on our evidence from working every day with young refugees and asylum seekers to call for change to the laws and policies which are harming young people. 

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to play a vital role in ensuring Young Roots can continue delivering life-changing support to young people seeking safety.

As our Finance Lead*, you'll be a senior finance professional providing day-to-day financial leadership, ensuring financial operations run smoothly while translating complex financial data into accessible insights that empower our teams and leadership to make informed decisions. Supported by an experienced Head of Finance and Internal Operations, you'll lead on month-end processes and statutory accounts, cash flow forecasting and funder reporting, supporting strong financial controls and effective use of systems.

An excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to take a leading role, this isn't just number-crunching – you'll be a trusted finance partner, working collaboratively across the organisation to support effective budget management, shape future initiatives, and ultimately help us maximise our impact for young refugees and asylum seekers.

The role requires proven experience in charity finance, including independently managing month-end processes and grant funding. You'll need an accounting qualification (AAT Level 4, full- or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent by experience) and hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can work with the Head of Finance and Internal Operations to communicate financial information in ways that make sense to non-finance audiences and is motivated by supporting our mission.

This is a permanent role offering 21-35 hours per week (0.6-1.0 FTE); we're open to any hours within this range. The role is hybrid, with two days at one of our London offices. Salary is £40,973-£45,199 per annum pro rata.
