In this pivotal role, you’ll be the central source of safeguarding expertise - advising senior leaders, shaping strategy, and ensuring best practice is embedded throughout our services. You’ll lead on strategy, practice, training, data analysis, and multi-agency collaboration, all while promoting a culture of empowerment, co-production, and service user voice.
What we’re looking for:

• A relevant health/social care qualification (e.g. Social Work Degree)

We are seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead one of London’s most vital community organisations into its next chapter. Based in North Kensington, the Dalgarno Trust is a lifeline for many of its 6000+ local residents living in one of the most underserved and diverse areas within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. As the only community centre in the neighbourhood, it tackles long standing community needs, from health inequalities to digital exclusion, vibrant youth programmes, a busy weekly foodbank, and inclusive wellbeing initiatives. The CEO will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of this anchor institution, driving strategic growth while remaining deeply connected to the needs and lived experiences of the community.

The CEO will be responsible for steering the organisation’s strategic direction, building sustainable income streams, and strengthening partnerships across the public, private, and voluntary sectors. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Work with the Board of Trustees to set and deliver the charity’s vision, mission, and strategic priorities.
- Provide clear, evidence-based advice and recommendations to the Board, ensuring effective governance and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Position the charity as a recognised leader in tackling inequality and poverty in the borough, particularly the North Kensington area.
- Maintain financial oversight taking a strategic approach to managing Dalgarno Trust’s finances in a sustainable way – ensuring adequate reserves are maintained.
- Ensure effective short, medium, and long-term financial planning is in place throughout the different levels of the organisation. Provide effective scrutiny by working with Dalgarno Trust’s accountants and finance personnel.
Income Generation & Fundraising
- Lead a sustainable income generation strategy, including accessing trust and foundation fundraising, corporate sponsorships, statutory grants, and social enterprise opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with funders and donors to maximise opportunities for growth and diversification of income.
- Ensure effective financial management, monitoring, and reporting of a c.£750k annual budget.
Partnerships & Place-Leadership
- Develop and maintain partnerships with voluntary, public, and private sector organisations to aid joint delivery of services.
- Represent the Dalgarno Trust in local strategic forums, influencing public policy and service design to reflect community needs.
- Strengthen the charity’s role as an anchor organisation and hub for community activity and leadership.

Assessment of Fitness to Drive is a dynamic and evolving field so demands committment to professional excellence , a proven record of professional development as well as an ambition to develop your career within a specialist third section organisation.
You will be an experienced and highly motivated clinician registered with the Health & Care Professions Council or similar health regulatory body and hold a full UK driving Licence.
You will have an ability to communicate effectively with service users , health professionals and major stakeholders including DVLA,Motability and the police, as well as having a passion for developing services in line with service users and stakeholder needs.
You will be able to apply your clinical expertise to assess practical function during on-road assessment whilst accompanied by an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), and ideally will have experience of working with a range of neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
Based at the North Wales centre, you will be supported by an experienced team and will receive induction and ongoing training to develop the skills for this specialist role. You will also be supported to achieve mandatory qualifications in Driving and Outdoor Mobility, all of which will be fully funded.
This is a permanent position for part time working of working 2 days (15 hours) a week. A fluency in the Welsh language is highly desirable.

The Role
As our Data Governance Officer, you will join our multi-disciplinary Data Management Team within our Digital, Data and Technology Directorate. You will play a central role in supporting colleagues across the Charity to implement our data governance strategy, ensuring that colleagues are enabled to manage data ethically, securely, and legally across a wide and varied set of functions.
You will be as passionate and knowledgeable about supporting colleagues to develop an effective data culture and bring about the mindset and behaviour change that this requires as you are about data governance. We are a small team building culture change and supporting colleagues to take on new roles and responsibilities around data, placing ownership where it is most effective and enabling colleagues to see their relationships with data differently.
You will have:
- Experience in data governance or data management – ideally in the charity or public sector.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially with non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative approach and ability to influence change across teams.
- A passion for ethical data use and making a difference through better information.
- Working knowledge of data protection laws (e.g. GDPR) and how they apply to charities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation, review, and refinement of the data governance framework, strategy and vision ensuring that these align with the Charity's Corporate Strategy.
- Enabling and promoting data governance best practice in the charity
- Contribute to enterprise-wide data management, working closely with data architecture/engineering colleagues and the wider business teams.

As a Data Integration Specialist you will play a key role in ensuring the success of Look Ahead's Move Forward transformation programme where we are currently adopting several new systems and integration structure in the next 12 months.
This role is as much about stakeholder engagement s it is about the technical credits, and will suit applicants with a firm knowledge of data management frameworks as well as experience in project management in a data or IT setting.
You will support the organisation to manage information securely and effectively, and your work will help drive the success of our data strategy.
