About the role:  

The Data Analyst (Geo-Spatial) is a key position in the Monitoring & Evaluation team and works closely with the wider Programmes Team to support the process of collecting, analysing, managing and storing high quality data.

The position is pivotal in the development and implementation of a new digital Information Management System (IMS) for the organisation’s Monitoring and Evaluation data. This involves working in partnership with a range of both internal and external stakeholders. 

The position will play a key role in turning geospatial evidence into insight for programme quality, landscape impact and carbon integrity. 

Main duties:  

• Lead on the analysing and interpretation of geo-spatial data across the organisation using a range of GIS, remote sensing and spatial analysis tools to support monitoring, evaluation and learning 

• Produce spatial analyses and maps to assess restoration, tree cover, land use and ecosystem change over time at project and landscape scale 

• Develop, maintain and manage online dashboards and visual analytics products to support programme management, learning and decision-making 

• Working with external developers, design and maintain digital data collection tools and workflows, covering data capture, aggregation, analysis and visualisation for project indicators and organisational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 

• Develop and maintain the organisational M&E geospatial database, focusing on areas of land benefiting from restoration activities, including tree planting, tree survival, landscape regeneration, and agroforestry systems 

• Work closely with the NbS and Carbon team to produce, analyse and quality-assure geospatial data used for carbon programmes, including baseline development, monitoring and verification 

• Support landscape-level impact assessment by integrating geospatial data with field monitoring data and other information sources 

• Implement and uphold good data management practices, including: data quality checks, version control, documentation, secure storage and data governance 

Additional duties:  

• Work together with the other members of the Monitoring and Evaluation team on improving technical support of all Tree Aid programmes 

• Digital Survey Creation: Using software solutions to create digital surveys to be administered via phone/tablet by field staff

We are looking to recruit an experienced, innovative legal manager for our international Environment and Sustainable Development Programme. The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with deep enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of how our partners could use the law to achieve environmental justice. A more detailed explanation of our organisational and programme strategy is set out in our 2024-2026 Strategy.

Working as part of a small but dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to learn at close hand what it means to work for an international NGO focusing on how the law can be used to fight corruption and achieve environmental and economic justice. You will develop projects with a range of partners, including international agencies, NGOs, CSOs and governments. You will collaborate with a range of volunteer lawyers (via law firms and barristers chambers) who are leading experts in their field. You will also help nurture, build and maintain relationships with our funders. The role will involve outreach to new partners, programme management, supporting the drafting of fundraising applications and donor reports, tracking impact, as well as evaluating and learning from projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement the strategic vision for ILP’s Environment and Sustainable Development (ESD) programme, in conjunction with the ESD Programme Director, Legal Fellows, Executive Director, partners, staff and Board;

2. Develop an understanding of the most effective environmental policy tools and legal interventions to deliver the programme’s objectives, through engagement with volunteer lawyers, ILP partners, ILP’s ESD Advisory Committee, staff, Board and others;

3. Support the ESD Programme Director to build and maintain ILP’s Environment and Sustainable Development (ESD) programme. This includes:

   • liaising with partners to identify legal/policy needs and offer potential legal and/or policy reform solutions, including through conducting legal analysis;

     identifying and engaging in regular outreach with potential new partners to build the project pipeline;

   • identifying, building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new highly experienced volunteer lawyers;

   • mapping and developing relationships with regional and international development entities and other technical assistance providers to identify potential partners, needs and focus countries;

   • representing the programme in external fora and events.

4. Support the Programme Director in ensuring effective project delivery and evaluation of impact including:

   • managing and coordinating project implementation through the full project cycle;

   • delivering financial management for assignments including accurate budgeting, forecasting, accounting and reporting;

   • Supporting the development and maintenance of strong programme management and knowledge management systems and processes, including regular updating of ILP’s online internal database (GRID).

5. Support the Programme Director’s fundraising efforts to finance both the programme and organisational overheads, including working closely with the Programme Director to identify opportunities for potential funding with partners, liaise with and nurture donors, design funding applications and create relevant budgets;

6. Deepen ILP’s knowledge and understanding of the situation in developing economies, including engaging in relevant research alongside ILP partners (pro bono lawyers, NGOs, CSOs and others) and sharing findings via written reports and output;

7. Share in the necessary operational and administrative activities of the organisation and contribute to website and social media communications.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

We’re looking for a friendly, caring Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our close knit team at our Hammersmith Animal Hospital. You’ll be working with a group of dedicated and talented veterinary professionals who genuinely support one another, delivering excellent care to a wide variety of small animals. From routine nursing to emergency work, no two days are the same and there are plenty of opportunities to build confidence, develop new skills and grow in your role.

More about the role

Blue Cross animal hospitals and pet care clinics provide veterinary treatment to sick and injured pets when their owners can’t afford private veterinary fees. Our vet care is available to pets whose owners receive certain means-tested benefits and live within the catchment area of one of our animal hospitals or pet care clinics.   

Our Hammersmith hospital is a compact, quirky site with lots of character which first opened in 1922; we’re very proud of its history. Despite its size, it’s well equipped with digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound and a mini-lab for in-house testing and microscopy, which we actively encourage nurses to get involved to develop these skills. We have separate dog and cat wards, a dedicated room for euthanasia to ensure privacy and dignity and a designated reception team so clinical staff can stay focused on patient care.

You’ll be joining a small, welcoming team where communication really matters. We start each day with short, informal mini-meetings to share updates and we hold monthly whole-team meetings where everyone’s voice is encouraged. We use award-winning clinical guidelines to support practical, evidence-based decision-making, always putting patient welfare first and we value open conversations and shared learning in a safe, non-judgemental environment.

We also understand the emotional demands of veterinary work and the importance of looking after each other. Wellbeing champions and Mental Health First Aiders are based at all our hospitals, helping to create a culture where people feel supported, listened to and able to be themselves. 

Working hours

This is a full-time, permanent role offering a good work–life balance, with weekday hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm. You’ll work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm and Wednesdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break. We’re also happy to consider part-time applicants looking to work four days per week, with days discussed at interview. 

Weekend shifts are worked on a rota basis at our Victoria site, averaging around 7–8 weekends per year. 

About you

As a Veterinary Nurse, you will be confident and capable in delivering excellent nursing care for a range of small animals, providing both emergency and routine healthcare. Our Veterinary Nurses work alongside Veterinary Surgeons to promote animal health and welfare through responsible ownership and play a key role in the education of pet owners.  

The ability to work as part of a team and effective communication skills are really important, often you will be the first point of our clients, forming strong bonds with them to ensure improved animal health and welfare.

We’d love to hear from applicants who bring a passion for supporting and developing student veterinary nurses, ideally with some experience of coaching, mentoring or assessing in practice. A good understanding of RCVS training standards and an interest in education, wellbeing and inclusive learning would be a real advantage.

Purpose of the job

This post will form part of Thames21’s Catchment Partnership team. The successful candidate will host/ co-host river catchment partnerships and will be responsible for each partnership’s strategic development and expansion, working towards the successful delivery of the Catchment Based Approach (CaBA) to improving rivers. 

You will work with multiple stakeholders and communities to manage and deliver river improvement projects across Oxfordshire and the mid-Thames region. This role is instrumental in developing and delivering a suite of projects, from citizen science water quality schemes to river habitat restoration and natural flood management, helping to implement Thames21’s vision and 5-year plan for healthy, thriving rivers across the Thames Basin.

Main duties and responsibilities: 

The officer will be expected to deliver across five priority areas:

1. Deliver small-scale river improvement projects

To deliver small-scale natural flood management, invasive species removal and habitat restoration projects, often with the aid of our volunteers and external contractors. You will also co-ordinate our citizen science water quality testing network in the region.   

2. Develop diverse, representative, collaborative and delivery focused partnerships

To work autonomously and proactively to seek out and positively engage strategic stakeholders within each catchment area, building the influence and capacity of the Catchment Partnership network to deliver improvements for rivers and local communities. These stakeholders will include (but not limited to) community groups, landowners, eNGOs, local authorities, government agencies, citizen scientists and water companies.

 3. Work with partnership networks to identify, develop and fundraise for river catchment improvement projects

To draw on their knowledge of what makes a river catchment healthy to develop ambitious and impactful catchment improvement project proposals that meet the targets of Thames21’s 5-year plan and the relevant catchment plan. Once identified, the successful candidate will be required to work with relevant Thames21 teams and external partners to successfully fundraise for the development and delivery of these projects. 

 4. Bring together identified projects into detailed, deliverable catchment and sub-catchment plans, monitoring progress against these.

The catchment partnership officer will be responsible for developing deliverable project proposals, catchment and sub catchment plans that draw together projects identified across the catchment/sub-catchment area with landowner and stakeholder support. These plans will clearly articulate priority projects required for delivery to external readers. Where necessary, the catchment partnership officer may be required to support and lead on the delivery of river improvement projects, managing project deadlines and budgets.

5. Break down silos by sharing information and bringing people together; in a way that is catchment wide, cross boundary and across multiple organisations.

The catchment partnership officer will be expected to share knowledge, news, funding opportunities and project progress between stakeholders through meetings, site visits, email newsletters and quarterly meetings of the whole Catchment Partnership (which the Officer will have the responsibility of arranging, coordinating and chairing, including the production of agendas, minutes and actions). The catchment partnership officer will be expected to communicate the work of their catchment partnership networks externally at relevant forums, including the Thames Catchment Forum and strategic community events.

About the role

We’re excited to be recruiting a Head of Finance Policy to lead WWF-UK’s work on shaping and influencing financial sector policy in support of a net zero, nature-positive transition.

In this role, you’ll set the strategic direction for WWF-UK’s finance policy agenda, developing and advocating for policy solutions that align the financial system with climate and nature goals. You’ll represent WWF-UK with senior policymakers, regulators, financial institutions and partners, building strong coalitions and influencing decision-makers in the UK and internationally. You’ll also play a key role in shaping how the financial sector’s voice supports stronger government action, and in ensuring WWF’s finance policy work connects to wider priorities such as deforestation, food systems and nature restoration.

This is a senior leadership role for someone with deep expertise in finance policy, strong political judgement, and the ability to lead teams and partnerships to deliver real-world impact.

Skills and experience

You’ll bring the following skills and experience to succeed in this role:

Essential

• Significant experience leading policy development and influencing in the area of financial sector regulation or sustainable finance

• Strong understanding of how government policy is developed and influenced, and how political context shapes policy outcomes

• Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders, decision-makers or regulators to achieve policy change

• Deep expertise in one or more relevant areas such as climate and environment, nature restoration, deforestation or sustainable supply chains

We’re looking for an Operations Officer to play a central role in keeping our organisation running safely, smoothly and effectively across our central office, refuges and dispersed accommodation.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining operations, facilities management, reception, health & safety, admin coordination and service-user access support. Job Title: Refuge Worker

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call Rota).

We are looking for a Refuge Worker to work within our culturally specific refuge to provide specialist, high-quality support to women and children escaping domestic abuse. Based in Lambeth, London, this role involves delivering practical and emotional support to survivors, ensuring their safety, and helping them rebuild their lives. Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, you will create a safe and welcoming environment in line with Refuge’s values and commitment to ending violence against women and girls.

As a Refuge Worker, you will support women through crisis, providing keywork sessions, safety planning, and advocacy. You will assist with accessing housing, welfare, legal support, and other essential services while maintaining accurate case records. You will also play a vital role in ensuring the effective operation of the refuge, managing referrals, and working collaboratively with partner agencies. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and resilient individual with strong communication and organisational skills. While experience in the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector is beneficial, we also welcome applications from those with transferable skills and a commitment to supporting survivors. About You 

Are you a creative storyteller who loves bringing ideas to life through brilliant copy, photography, video and social-first content? We are seeking an experienced content specialist to lead the production of high-impact communications that help more people connect with The Wildlife Trusts’ cause and put nature into Recovery. 

Our Head of Communications plays a leading role in enabling The Wildlife Trusts to deliver inspiring, impactful and brand-aligned engagement with our target audiences. 

You will bring your experience of translating strategy and audience insights into content that gets people talking, to help strengthen our brand and inspire more people to take meaningful action for nature. 

You will be responsible for leading and developing teams tasked with content creation (including publications, events, graphic design and film), social media management and ambassador and influencer relations. 

An excellent writer, with a flair for design and the ability to commission compelling photography and video content, you will be brimming with fresh ideas, alongside having a strong track record in delivering to agreed strategic priorities and timeframes. 

You will be well-versed in managing creative teams, both in-house and agency, and overseeing the production of high-quality content that reinforces the brand and meets audience needs
