Do you want to help two iconic chalk National Landscapes and a National Trail adapt in the face of climate change? We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead our Nature Ridge Landscape Connections project at its formative stage. Working closely with partners and a wide range of stakeholders, you will shape the programme, identify opportunities, assemble and submit a strong Development Application.

Nature Ridge Landscape Connections project (NRLC) is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) through the Landscape Connections programme. This aims to put landscapes into recovery supporting habitats and species alongside rich cultural heritage in better connected, working landscapes and to enable people to connect with nature and the environment. This early development work will align with NLHF priorities and support the North Wessex Downs and Chilterns’ Nature Recovery Plans, National Landscape Management Plans, emerging Climate Mitigation and Adaptation Plans, and County Local Nature Recovery Strategies.

This is a rewarding role for a creative, innovative person with excellent people skills, strong landscape and habitat knowledge, and proven experience guiding teams to define development needs and secure funding. You will be self-motivated, highly organised, and confident working in partnership across conservation, landscape, or land management sectors, ideally with local knowledge of these landscapes, their wildlife, heritage and communities. You will be an outstanding communicator, able to build trusted relationships with farmers, land managers and conservation bodies. The importance of your role: 

Individual giving and corporate support are vital to the delivery of RZSS's ambitious strategy and the Fundraising Manager is a senior role. Working with the Head of Fundraising and colleagues across RZSS, the post-holder will manage a small team to deliver inspiring multi-channel campaigns for individual giving, legacies and patrons as well as expanding a new major donor programme. The postholder will also manage the corporate partners programme and support the expansion of corporate sponsorship opportunities.

As our Global Senior Prospect Research Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping Compassion in World Farming to end factory farming by strengthening our global prospect research function. 

This is an established and important role within our Global Philanthropy Team, central to building and sustaining a strong, high-quality prospect pipeline to support our fundraising growth ambitions. Qualifications:
 

You bring:

• Hands-on experience implementing and managing global HRIS, payroll, or employer-of-record platforms, ideally including Deel, Personio, or Teamtailor.

About the role

Do you have a passion for delivering impactful environmental projects and restoring rivers for people and nature?

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Restoring Rivers & Catchments team. In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of large-scale environmental projects, typically valued between £300,000 and £1 million, working with key partners including water companies, the Environment Agency, local authorities and consultants.

From river restoration and habitat creation to fish passage improvements, floodplain reconnection and water quality schemes, you will play a vital role in ensuring projects are delivered successfully and achieve meaningful environmental outcomes.

Working closely with project leads and multidisciplinary teams, you will provide oversight of project performance, governance, budgets and stakeholder relationships, helping to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

• Managing a portfolio of environmental projects from initiation through to completion.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, funders, regulators and delivery partners.

• Monitoring project budgets, programmes, risks and quality to ensure successful delivery.

• Working collaboratively with project leads and colleagues to plan resources and resolve challenges.

• Producing reports and updates for stakeholders, regulators and the Trust's Leadership Team.

• Coordinating project meetings, tracking actions and ensuring robust project governance.

• Collating evidence and documentation required by funders and regulators.

• Supporting and mentoring colleagues with project management best practice where appropriate.

• Helping to drive efficient, collaborative and effective project delivery across the team.

About you

You are an organised and confident project professional with a proven track record of managing complex projects and budgets. You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills and are comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.

You are proactive, solutions-focused and able to balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. You enjoy working collaboratively, can influence and engage others effectively, and remain calm when managing competing demands.

Experience of environmental project delivery, working with water companies or delivering WINEP schemes would be advantageous, as would an understanding of river restoration, catchment management or environmental regulation.

Site locations

The SERT region, covers the south east of England, extending from Hampshire in the west to Kent in the east, with the northern border being south of the Thames, extending down to the English Channel.

Our office is based in Leatherhead which you will be required to attend up to 4 times a month.

The amount of travel required depends on the role, and can be extensive. Most travel for an individual will be to work on project sites, which can be remote, or attending external meetings within the SERT region. The geographical range and frequency of travel is role dependent.

To support travel costs, SERT pays mileage at the current HMRC amount for travel within the SERT region. We do not pay mileage, time or any other costs for travel outside the SERT region, nor for any commutes to the office. Toll charges cannot be claimed.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how Rainbows tells its story across the East Midlands raising awareness of our specialist care and inspiring support for babies, children, young people and their families. You’ll lead on sourcing and developing stories from families, supporters, staff and stakeholders, creating publish-ready content across PR, web, email, social media, and fundraising campaigns. 

You’ll be joining us at a time when storytelling is becoming increasingly important to our fundraising, digital engagement and public awareness. We’re looking for someone who understands how to create sensitive, audience-focused content, and who can adapt their writing style across multiple channels and audiences. 

Working as part of a collaborative Marketing and Communications team, your role will include interviewing families and supporters, writing compelling stories and press releases, supporting campaign content, helping develop digital-first storytelling approaches, and building a strong pipeline of stories, quotes, images and video content for use across the organisation. 

You’ll need excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and proactively drive a pipeline of stories across a range of projects and campaigns. We’re particularly interested in candidates who can think creatively by identifying new story angles, developing alternative content routes, and helping us diversify the voices and experiences represented across our communications.

You’ll also work closely with the PR Manager and Income Generation and Marketing Directorate to support regional media activity, fundraising campaigns and digital communications. 

This role would suit someone with solid experience in communications, public relations or journalism. Experience within a hospice or healthcare setting is welcome, but not essential. What matters most is your ability to write high-quality, compassionate and impactful content.

About the Role

We are seeking a day support worker for our high-quality, self-contained accommodation for women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage. The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic, trauma and psychologically-informed environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The role is located at an 18-bed, 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham.

In this role, you will provide support to all the women, including co-designing and running activities (such as art groups, self-care sessions, nature walks, cooking activities etc.) and accompanying women to appointments. You will work closely with Specialist Support Workers who manage individual resident support and safety plans.

The service and the wider organisation recognise the high levels of trauma that precede and perpetuate homelessness, and the complex, interconnecting needs that develop against this backdrop (including mental and physical health difficulties, substance misuse, brain injury, emotion dysregulation, interpersonal problems, and stigma and exclusion). The service operates as a best-practice, Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE), working in close partnership with homeless mental health experts and includes an in-house psychologist, offering therapeutic input to residents, and support and training to staff. In this role, you will model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, will be skilled at building trust and you will be a great team player.

The post holder will undertake 8-hour shifts on a 7-day rota, covering the hours 07:45 am to 20:15 pm. Please be aware that the building has several floors and no lifts.

Due to the nature of this women’s supported housing service and the needs of the residents, this role is open to women only. This is considered to be an occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

Salary: £30,722 - £35,341 (Scale Points 7 – 17)

The Inland Waterways Association (IWA) is the only independent, national charity supporting and regenerating Britain’s rivers and canals for leisure, living and business. We campaign both locally and nationally for the waterways; lobbying parliament, championing regeneration, promoting sustainability and the environment and raising waterways users concerns. As an experienced manager you will have experience of all areas of business management: marketing, finance, human resources as well as the myriad issues common to all small charities and businesses. An experienced communicator and active people manager, you will be able to bring your skills to both managing the staff and integrating their work with that 
done by trustees and other volunteers for the Association.  The role may involve some out of office hours work.
