Effective financial control is central to our strategy and operating model. The finance officer plays an essential role in maintaining control over our finances and operations. You will process and monitor financial transactions, liaise with our payroll bureau regarding staff payroll and pensions and support the Head of finance. You will be experienced in using Dynamics 365 Business Central as an accounting system.

This is a part-time role for two days a week (0.4FTE), with flexibility about when the hours are worked. It's a hybrid role, working from home and from our office. You will report to our Head of finance. You will also work with all staff on financial matters including personal and credit card expenses, central and project income and expenditure, and processing of payroll by liaising with our external bureau.

We are looking for a policy adviser to work primarily in our resource stewardship theme to help deliver ambitious leadership for the environment. You will also have opportunities to work on projects in our Legislation & Governance unit.

Using your strong research and strong communication skills, you will contribute to work that shapes the future of circular economy policy and environmental legislation in the UK. Collaborating with colleagues across the organization, including in comms and politics, you will help identify compelling evidence, stories, and projects to drive better use of resources in the UK and will secure support for projects and policy proposals by building relationships with politicians and policymakers, environmental NGOs and community groups, business partners and other stakeholders.

This is a varied role that will also include project management to ensure effective delivery, including ensuring outputs and events are effectively planned and executed to deadline and to a high quality.

You will need to understand, or be willing to learn about, the political and environmental policy contexts we work in and the state of resources policy and wider environmental legislation in the UK.

We’re looking for a highly skilled individual who will help build on our relationships and networks across Westminster, to deliver ambitious political leadership on a range of issues. The post holder will be responsible for leading advocacy interventions and providing political support to our policy experts, with a focus on Transport and Resources policy.

As a senior political adviser within the politics team, you will also be involved with, and lead on, major projects or themes of work across the political leadership theme (including the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Environment (APPG), which Green Alliance holds the secretariat for), managing and developing key external relationships and supporting the Director of politics as they lead the politics team.

You will need to be an exceptional communicator, adept at bringing people together around a shared vision and have the interpersonal skills to inspire and work across Green Alliance and liaise with our extensive network of partners.

You will be a highly organised, capable multi-tasker with experience managing projects and able to think on your feet, while managing multiple relationships and advocating plans concurrently.

The role entails identifying and leading on opportunities for the UK government to achieve environmental progress and implementing advocacy strategies to secure it. You will have direct access to senior policy makers and environmental leaders, so will need to articulate recommendations succinctly and persuasively.

The role requires excellent understanding of UK political processes (especially in Westminster, parliament and Whitehall) and experience of using it to influence policy effectively. Experience of operating within the system or of working directly with politicians and the media to achieve policy change would be a distinct advantage.

As our Puppy Coordinator, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our assistance dog programmes by overseeing the development and welfare of puppies during the early stages of their training journey.  Working closely with volunteer Puppy Socialisers, Foster Carers, Trainers, and Colleagues, you will provide guidance, support, and training to ensure puppies receive the best possible start. You will be responsible for coordinating placements, monitoring their progress, maintaining accurate records and helping volunteers develop the skills and confidence needed to prepare our puppies for advanced assistance dog training. Purpose of the job

The successful candidate will be employed as part of the Evidence Team working in a supportive, dynamic and fast-moving environment. While the post is initially funded for a year, there is likely to be further funding to work on projects related to the monitoring of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) beyond this date. The role is to aid in the delivery of a range of projects within the Evidence Program. These projects will focus on evidence collection in relation to nature-based solutions for flooding and water quality issues, as well as supporting a network of citizen scientists to carry out water quality sampling. The role will require close collaboration with a variety of project partners from local to national scales.

You will work across several projects to collect and analyse water quality evidence relating to NbS that have been installed across London or are planned to be installed. This will involve visiting sites across London regularly to survey sites, collect samples, and speak to local stakeholders.

You will work closely with our network of citizen scientists to support their efforts to measure water quality in their local area. This will involve distributing equipment and PPE, responding to their queries, and visiting sites with them to discuss local pollution issues and potential solutions.

This job would suit somebody who has an interest in river water quality, enjoys working outside, is a good problem solver, and likes working with people.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Routine water quality sampling of NbS installations.

· Installation and maintenance of monitoring equipment (e.g. real-time water quality sensors).

· Data inputting, analysis, presentation, and visualisation using a variety of software and online tools such as Excel, ArcGIS, and QGIS.

· Production of high impact verbal and written reports aimed at a range of expert and non-expert audiences.

· Work with local stakeholders to aid in the delivery of a range of river-related projects.

· Support monitoring carried out by citizen scientists.

· Delivery of other types of project work, as and when required by project or team managers.

· Work outside in a riverside environment in a variety of weather conditions.

· Work with Thames21 colleagues to develop and implement Thames21’s vision.

As a Day Centre Assessment & Reconnection Worker, you will play a key role at that first point of contact. About you:  We are looking for someone with significant hands-on accounting experience in a similar role, ideally within an equivalently sized or larger organisation. You will have experience of producing management accounts, cashflow forecasts and management information, as well as contributing to statutory accounts and audit preparation. You will be fully or nearly qualified through an accredited accountancy body.

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and highly professional administrator to join Prospect Hospice, supporting the governance, quality improvement and patient safety work that underpins exceptional hospice care.

If you enjoy bringing order to complexity, keeping projects on track and making a real difference behind the scenes, this is an opportunity to use your skills where they matter most.

Hours: 15 hours per week (across 3 or 4 days Monday-Friday)

About the role

Working closely with our Quality Improvement Lead and the wider patient services leadership team, you’ll help coordinate the governance, quality improvement and patient safety activities that support outstanding hospice care.

No two days are the same. One day you could be preparing papers for a clinical governance meeting, the next supporting quality improvement projects, collating audits results and helping produce reports that influence how we continue to improve patient care.

You’ll provide administrative support for a range of important workstreams including:

• Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement
• Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF)
• Infection Prevention and Control
• Medicines Management
• Audit and quality reporting
• CQC improvement planning
• Policy management and document control

Your work will help ensure our governance processes run smoothly and that our clinical teams have the information and support they need to deliver the very best care.

About you

You’ll be an experienced administrator who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys working with detail, coordinating multiple priorities and supporting senior colleagues to deliver high-quality work.

You’ll have:

• Experience supporting senior managers or leadership teams
• Excellent organisational skills and outstanding attention to detail
• Experience preparing agendas, taking accurate minutes and tracking actions
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
• The confidence to work independently while building positive relationships across multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Experience within healthcare, governance, quality improvement or the charity sector would be an advantage but isn’t essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to develop specialist knowledge in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety within a healthcare environment.
