About this key role
This multi-faceted role will see our successful candidate produce monthly management accounts for St Giles Trust with commentary and key performance indicators, monitor and report on budget and prepare financial forecasts and projections, plus prepare monthly schedules such as deferred income, accruals, and prepayment in accordance with accounting policies.
We will also count on you to monitor expenditure and income and support budget holders in managing the delegated budget by providing monthly reports on income, grant, and expenditure and to monitor the organisation’s expenditure and income, as well as supporting managers with the preparation of funders’ monthly or quarterly reports on fund usage. Coordinating the year-end financial accounts and supporting the Head of Finance to ensure a smooth process and being point of contact for all financial systems related matters are also key aspects of the role.
What we are looking for
• Experience of in-year reporting and monitoring key performance indicators
• Experience of working with non-finance managers on financial issues
• Experience of managing the payroll process
• Experience of preparing management accounts returns for funders, reconciling fundraising figures to budgets/actuals on financial systems
• Strong accounting technical knowledge (debits, credit, accruals, deferred income, etc)
• Ability to use Exchequer or similar financial system and experience of Sage 50 Payroll or similar payroll software
• Ability to explain technical accounting terms to non-finance managers
• Excellent IT, interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.

- Good general IT skills, especially MS Office with more detailed knowledge of project programming and scheduling software, e.g. MS Project
- A motivated individual with initiative and a structured approach to work who has good organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to articulate and communicate effectively at all levels
- Experienced in chairing meetings and taking accurate notes of decisions, actions and commitments

We are looking for an exceptional Centre Manager to help us ensure that everyone who works in and visits our Centre is well looked after and has a fantastic experience.
The role is based at our beautiful Grade 2 listed building in Southwark. We will consider either a full-time application for a period of maternity cover, or a part-time job share of the role, with the potential to extend beyond the initial period of maternity cover. - Be a welcoming and generous host for visitors to our Charity and for event hires at the Centre

POSITION SUMMARY
Business Launchpad wishes to hire a highly organised, process-driven individual to oversee operations for its Tooting Works business centre.
As a key member of the Tooting Works team, the Operations Manager oversees the renting of our office units, tenant relations, and building maintenance and management, among other things. The post holder ensures the centre is run to a high standard, including excellent customer service, compliance with all current building and health and safety legislation, a high occupancy level and operation within budget.
The Operations Manager line manages four team members, making up the lettings team and the maintenance team, and works closely with other teams, including marketing, finance and the delivery team for the Business Launchpad charity.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Centre Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business centre, ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and running smoothly, and that the lettings process is compliant and well-managed.
- Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality, including opportunities to digitise procedures and services.
- Manage building improvement and repair projects in collaboration with the maintenance team and the operations director.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and manage risk assessments.
- Identify, anticipate and address problems and opportunities for the business centre in collaboration with senior management.
Customer Service
- Act as a point of contact for tenants, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Foster strong relationships with tenants, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing tenants with the goal of maintaining high occupancy levels.
Financial Management
- Manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective management of resources and that projects are delivered within budget.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to secure cost-effective deals.
- Ensure tenant arrears are regularly monitored and managed.
Line Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage the lettings and maintenance teams, ensuring high performance and productivity.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Handle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of staff members as needed.
Essential Skills / Experience

We lead on the development of safe, effective work with perpetrators, male victims, and young people using violence in their close relationships.As the Policy, Public Affairs and Communications Manager for the Drive Partnership, you will lead our efforts to ensure that those with the ability to make change, because of the funding or policy making role they hold, understand the aims and vision of the Drive Partnership and what our data, practice expertise and the voice of survivors is telling us about how to stop domestic abuse in the UK. In this role, offered a permanent post subject to funding, you will lead a team of two staff, develop our policy influencing capacity and support our national rollout of ground-breaking interventions to stop domestic abuse. You will also take responsibility for improving our internal communications, enhancing our reputation and supporting communications and relationships across the extensive Drive network of partners and beyond. You will be an experienced public affairs specialist with a background in policy influencing and have extensive contacts. You will build relationships with and work to support Respect, SafeLives, and Social Finance’s public affairs and comms teams and key audiences across the partnership to enhance our influence, reputation and profile both locally and nationally, and maintain good relationships with others who currently work on public affairs and policy issues across the Drive and Respect networks of stakeholders and partners. You will be joining the Partnership at an important time as we seek to seize the opportunities of a potential new government and wider sector interest in perpetrators of domestic abuse and ensure new commitments in the Domestic Abuse Act and the Tackling Domestic Abuse Plan deliver for victims and survivors.

The aim of the service is to enable the people we support to enjoy a good quality of life maximising independence and skills progression where possible.
The Role
The deputy manager would support the manager with recruiting and managing the large staff team, creating a culture of positive behaviour support within a personalised environment, embedding quality standards, achieving and progressing good outcomes with the people we support. As well as managing the service safely within the regulations and standard required by CQC.
You will act as a role model in the delivery of active support you will promote and maintain person centred approaches and inclusive community links to achieve positive outcomes with the people we support from the frontline staff team.
Skills and Expertise
· To share our values of enabling, empowering and engaging and implement these
· A minimum of 1 years’ experience of providing support to people with learning disabilities/ autism and or complex needs and or behaviours of concern
· Have excellent communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with internal and external partners – staff, professionals, people we support, families
· Be confident in using your own initiative able to deputise for the Service Manager
· Have strong IT skills and able to manage own time and work under pressure
· Creativity, motivation and enthusiasm to bring new ideas into the service and to implement these to shape the service as part of continuous improvement
· QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent or willingness to gain a qualification
· Experience of staff management and the ability to lead and develop a large team ensuring staff are appropriately trained
· Experience of carrying out needs assessments and creating support and risk management plans for people with complex needs
· The ability to deliver the service in accordance with an individual support plans, the service specification and CQC requirements
· A commitment to providing high quality, personalised active support
· Knowledge of managing a budget is desirable
