Main Purpose of Job

To ensure the smooth running of the sales floor and main office to offer a high-quality service to donators and customers.

Main Responsibilities

1. Serving customers, dealing with enquiries, arranging delivery when necessary
2. Processing cash, card and other customer payments 
3. Arranging for approved donations of furniture to be collected
4. Handling product returns and payment refund requests
5. Helping with movement, inventory and presentation of stock in the warehouse
6. To assist in the movement of stock by road transport, including van driving. 
7. To assist and support new volunteers as directed. Ensure that volunteers understand the customer service standards that we aspire to as an organisation
8. To follow all statutory Health and Safety requirements and those detailed in the organisation’s Health and Safety policy and risk assessments
9. Work flexibly and to be prepared to contribute to all areas of work in the organisation
10. Collect and share feedback from volunteers, work placement trainees, donors and customers with the CEO
11. To undertake any other reasonable tasks as deemed necessary by the CEO

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient and effective running of the charity office, handling enquiries by telephone, email, and post.
- Maintain both electronic and hard copy filing systems.
- Deal with visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the charity team, including word processing, managing electronic communications, and maintaining records.

- Set up meetings, book rooms, and coordinate events as needed.
- Assist with keeping contact databases and records up-to-date, including handling data protection queries.
- Handle and process post and maintain office supplies.

 General Responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities & Person Specification:

The Parish Administrator & Events Co-Ordinator is a key person in the life of St Peter’s who works closely with the Vicar, Treasurer, Director of Music, Churchwardens, PCC, regular volunteers and the wider community of De Beauvoir Town. This role is both administrative and a key personal contact for the many individuals and groups in the life of St Peter’s.

Knowledge, skills and abilities

Essential:

• Excellent organisational skills with experience of administration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Financially confident
• Excellent IT skills with working experience of Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
• Working experience of digital communication systems including email marketing tools, websites, and use of social media

About the role:

This role is based at Accrington. Once your probation period is completed you will be eligible to apply for hybrid working. As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker, you will be:

• Focusing on victims of domestic abuse, providing a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service

This role is based in Portsmouth, operating as a hybrid working model with three days in the office, and two working from home. All travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed. As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker, you will:

Disability Advice Service Lambeth (dasl) is Lambeth’s peer-led Disabled People’s Organisation. 

You will lead a two-year project contributing to the work of the No Wrong Door partnership – local organisations and local residents working together to ensure there is ‘No Wrong Door’ for Black Disabled people seeking employment, as they can expect excellent support from any organisation. 

We want to change the system, influencing employment support providers and their Commissioners to ensure support for Black Disabled people who are seeking employment is appropriate, accessible and inclusive.

You will have excellent project management skills and use your lived, personal experience of race and disability equity issues to implement change, working collaboratively with residents (Lived Experience Leads), partner organisations and employment support providers. Your role will involve working primarily with Black Disabled Lambeth residents. You will understand and encounter the intersections between being Black and Disabled and the barriers to employment and be able to demonstrate creative and people-centred approaches to influencing change.

About the role:

This role is based at either our Preston or Accrington Office. After six months probation you will be eligible to apply for hybrid working. All travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed.

As a Triage & early Intervention worker you will be:

• Making initial contact assessing and providing information to victims/survivors of domestic abuse
• Providing any immediate safety and support needs for the victims/and their children(s) including safeguarding when required.
• Providing administrative support to our wider team to support them in the delivery of advocacy to victims/survivors of mainly domestic abuse.
• Liaising with the police and other agencies to ensure all relevant information is collected including safe contact numbers and consent from victims/survivors.
• Gathering feedback from service users and collating this into monthly reports and contributing to monitoring information for the service.
• Participating in regular supervisions and reviews.

You will need to:

• Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
• Understand the myths, facts and misconceptions about domestic abuse.
• Understand Safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• Understand the needs of victims/survivors of domestic abuse.
• Understand the effects of trauma and the importance of trauma informed practice.
• Have a good understanding of the Criminal Justice System.
• Have strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
• Demonstrate the ability to use IT applications competently including, Microsoft Word, Excel etc. and Case Management systems in order to keep accurate records and monitoring your performance.

We have an innovative opportunity for an IDSVA in a pilot project at John Hunter Clinic, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital to engage with an online population to offer them specialist intervention and support around their experience of domestic abuse, to keep them and/or dependants safe. This s a full time 37.5hrs on a 12 month fixed term contract.

About the Role:

This role is co-located within Chelsea & Westminster Hospital 3-4 days per week and 1 day per week at our office near Old Street and/or working from home.

You may be a qualified IDVA or a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker wanting to work alongside health professionals in a hospital environment, although we will consider applicants from other fields providing you are able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse.

As a Hospital Independent Domestic and Sexual Violence Advocate you will:

• Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
• Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic and sexual abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of Sexual Health London, Chelsea and Westminster Foundation Trust, the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic and sexual abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic and sexual abuse.
• Be comfortable with running group training sessions and be willing and able to share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital.
• Have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to be able to influence the way in which this service is delivered are key.

You will need to:
