About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Sustrans as part of our Strategic Communications team. 

As the Internal Communications Officer you will work collaboratively with diverse teams across the organisation, to schedule and produce a range of inspiring, informative and engaging internal communications. 

Working with the Internal Communications and Engagement Manager, you will conceive and create compelling content for a range of channels including Sustrans intranet and a weekly newsletter. You will also help manage and run Sustrans monthly all-colleague webinars. 

This role will actively enable further development of employee engagement and will support several strategic change-related projects across the charity.

Organisation Overview

CDS UK (the Clinic for Dissociative Studies) is a psychotherapy service, established 25 years ago to provide assessment and long-term specialist outpatient treatment to people with dissociative disorders. Its patients have often suffered the most extreme forms of abuse over a long period, and represent one of the most vulnerable and complex client groups. CDS UK is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and an Independent Provider to the NHS, and is subcontracted by NHS commissioning organisations nationally on a discretionary perpatient basis, where local mental health services are unable to provide appropriate treatment. CDS UK has a small core team of employees, mainly based around London, and a larger group of associate therapists, support workers and supervisors working throughout England and in Scotland. The organisation has seen steady growth in referrals over the past few years.

Job Summary

One of the key elements of the role will be to manage a caseload of referrals from receipt of referral through to submission of funding application and referral outcome. The postholder will be one of two people within CDS UK’s core team with responsibility for this. 

There will also be an allocations management function, involving matching new (and/or existing) patients with suitable clinical staff, usually from within CDS UK’s group of associates, but sometimes via the recruitment of new practitioners.

The role will include a range of other tasks key to the successful functioning and development of CDS UK. Amongst these are maintaining a log of, and costing where appropriate, allpotential service developments (from requests for training to submissions to funders), developing reporting from basic information systems, checking and sending of patient progress reports and monitoring of patient funding. They also include developing our outgoing communications – such as via our website – and helping to explore opportunities for developing our charitable arm.

As part of our small Business and Administrative Team, the role will encompass some ad hoc administrative tasks, and may require delegation of some tasks and/or some line management duties as required.

The post-holder will work on their own initiative and independently deal with issues of workload and problem-solving, becoming a specialist in their areas of work within an agreed period, supported with appropriate training if required. Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. Purpose of the Operations Manager role: 

As Operations Manager, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the effective day to day management of key business support services including operations, IT data and premises. Operations:

About the role
This is a new role for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity as we look to expand our successful Individual Giving & Lottery programmes.

The post holder will deliver quality fundraising campaigns, including Cash Appeals, Regular Giving and Lottery that will grow income, supporter base and lifetime value. Putting supporters at the heart of the Charity’s work, the role includes acquisition, retention and stewardship of individual donors and lottery players to achieve a sustainable increase in income for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

Join our team in shaping the future of internal communications and engagement! 

You’ll play a key role in supporting and delivering internal communications and driving engagement across the charity. This will include planning, writing and publishing communications that will inform, engage and inspire our colleagues across all areas of our work.

Using your skills in communications, organisation, and planning, you’ll work with the Internal Communications & Engagement team and colleagues across the charity to provide internal audiences with what they need to be able to be informed and updated. This will help them to deliver in their roles to support the Parkinson’s community and deliver on our strategy. 

This role is fixed term for 7 months

What you’ll do:

• Write, edit and distribute the weekly all colleague newsletter 
• Create content for, and be responsible for maintaining, our internal channels, including our staff intranet.
• Write and edit internal articles and copy
• Monitor and manage our internal engagement mailbox, service desk, and planners.
• Be responsible for the coordination and distribution of our manager bulletins.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of delivering effective internal communications that drive participation and engagement. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a meticulous eye for attention to detail and excellence in delivery.
• Excellent prioritisation and organisation skills, alongside a flexible approach. 
• Demonstrable experience of building trusted relationships with co-workers and an ability to influence when needed. 
• An understanding of data and analytics to support the monitoring of internal engagement performance.

You would

• promote the diocese internally and externally
• develop and maintain our digital channels
• support our churches' communications training needs 

Do you have experience in:

• a communications, digital communications or marketing related role
• using Content Management Systems such as WordPress
• creating social media content in a professional capacity
• creating, sourcing and editing content such as copy, images and videos

You will need to:

• have excellent written and spoken English
• be able to foster effective working relationships

About the role

• Job Title: Justice Programme Manager
• Location: Remote/Hybrid/Nottingham
• Salary: £40,000 p/a based on 35 hours per week
• Fixed term contract for two years

Headway is seeking a new Justice Programme Manager who will expand the current services to have a greater impact on police and probation services, improving knowledge and understanding and the support offenders with brain injuries receive.
We want someone who can both oversee the existing projects, such as our brain injury ID cards, whilst expanding the services in line with our new strategy, due to launch in the summer of 2024.

What will you do:

• Develop and implement a strategy for Headway’s work within the criminal justice system.
• Work with and develop key relationships across, police, probation services to improve knowledge and systems for offenders with brain injuries.
• Develop new justice related projects, including working with Headway’s fundraising team, to generate new income to expand the services.
• Work with the network of local Headway charities, to expand their work, within the justice system.
• Manage and deliver Headway’s justice related training initiatives.
• Oversee the successful delivery of Headway UK’s Brain Injury ID Card, including the line management of the project lead.

About you

• Have a passion for improving lives for brain injury survivors, within the criminal justice system.
• Have substantial experience of working within the criminal justice system.
• Be able to operate at both a strategic and an operational level, with experience of planning and delivering a range of projects and programmes.
• Have experience of generating income, from statutory and governmental bodies, such as HMPPS.
• Be an excellent communicator with experience of building partnerships within the criminal justice system.
