About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a lively, dynamic and driven fundraising events team. Over the last decade, Breast Cancer Now has built up a strong events function, with community fundraising and events currently accounting for nearly a quarter of the charity’s overall voluntary income.
Due to internal promotions, we’re now looking for 2 new events officers to play a key role within the team. Managing the delivery of our varied portfolio of challenge events, currently comprising of running, cycling, swimming and trekking challenges and engagement events such as our Carols by Candlelight, supporter focussed events and key internal events too. You’ll be a supporter for hundreds of fundraisers, acting as a point of contact and an ambassador for the organisation to excite and retain our supporters.
This role is a vital role in the events team and is perfect for someone looking to take that next step in their career.
About you
We’re looking for an individual with excellent attention to detail and a passion for charity fundraising. An understanding of and experience with administrative tasks as well as event logistics and working in a fast-paced environment is desirable.
You’ll be a key point of contact with hundreds of our supporters and staff, many of whom will be in touch via email, phone or social media, so an understanding of using these channels and delivering customer service, particularly in the charity sector, is preferable. You should also have a demonstrable ability to work to deadlines and have experience working as part of a team.
We’re a dedicated team with our supporters at the heart of what we do, if you have an interest in charity fundraising, events management, and supporter experiences then this could be the role for you.

The Youth Participation & Events Support (Internhsip) role is a twelve-month paid Internship to begin during March 2026, supported by the Jack Petchey Foundation. It is an opportunity for young person to support the planning and delivery of SLRA’s youth participation programme, regular activities and youth-led events.

In this role, you will be part of the Jack Petchey Internship Programme with 18 other interns from different youth organisations in London and Essex. This development programme will involve attending a launch conference, four professional development workshops throughout the year and a celebration event at the end of the programme. You will receive an extra training bursary of £1,000 for approved training. You will also be matched with a mentor from another organisation to support you in your professional development. We are looking for a temporary events officer for a passionate and collaborative disability charity. You will manage an agreed portfolio of fundraising events, taking place throughout the year. You will also provide high levels of supporter care.

The Role
Lead on the delivery of a number of events from the agreed portfolio; both owned and third party events. Responsibilities to include researching an events feasibility, planning, marketing, recruiting participants, and evaluation. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cure Parkinson’s philanthropy team until June 2027. In this role you will provide excellent personalised support to our ambitious Development Board, a group of eight well connected individuals using their networks to accelerate Cure Parkinson’s income generation, and be an integral part of the team delivering two special philanthropy events.
Cure Parkinson’s Gala 2027: Our last gala event ‘An Evening at the Roundhouse’, in October 2024, raised over £500,000. The evening was hosted by Edith Bowman and Simon Mayo and included performances from Emeli Sandé and Peter Andre.
Grand Cru.saders Banquet: The Grand Cru.saders are a new group of philanthropic wine enthusiasts with a mission, set up by our Development Board. To join each member pledges a case from their cellar to be auctioned in support of Cure Parkinson’s at an annual dinner. Their inaugural event took place in September 2025 and raised over £160,000.
Over the next 18 months we plan to build on the success of these events, delivering the second Grand Cru.saders Banquet in September 2026 and a gala in Spring 2027. As Major Gifts and Philanthropy Events Officer you would be a vital part of the team making this happen.

You will manage complex event logistics, secure sponsorship, and build long term relationships that maximise sustainable income and supporter engagement.
This varied role combines strategic planning, relationship management and hands on project delivery, while contributing to wider fundraising strategy and income targets.
As a Senior Special Events Manager you will:
- Manage and deliver large scale fundraising events and special projects to a consistently high standard
- Lead specific fundraising initiatives, supporting and developing colleagues through project work
- Build, manage and grow strong relationships with senior volunteers, committee members and key supporters
- Secure sponsorship and manage relationships with external suppliers to achieve best value
- Contribute to departmental planning, budgets and process improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively across teams to maximise income and streamline fundraising activity
- Develop engaging materials and bring innovative ideas to keep events competitive and impactful
- Represent organisational values in all activity
To be successful, you must have experience:
- Extensive experience of event and project management, with a strong track record of delivering and growing large scale events
- Exceptional relationship building skills, including experience working with senior level stakeholders
- Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage budgets and meet income targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- A creative, solutions focused approach to fundraising and events
- Experience in a customer focused environment such as fundraising, sales or marketing
- Confidence using standard office software and digital tools

Senior Community & Events Manager
At Prospect Hospice, our fundraising team is at the heart of everything we do. The income we generate enables us to provide expert, compassionate end-of-life care to people across Swindon, Marlborough and northeast Wiltshire — every day of the year.
We are now looking for a Senior Community & Events Manager to take our thriving community and events programme to the next level.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Flexible working options available, minimum 3 days per week in the office)
What you’ll be doing
This is a senior, high-impact fundraising role with real scope. You’ll lead a talented and creative team, oversee our flagship events, grow community fundraising, and play a key part in shaping the future of relationship fundraising at Prospect Hospice. Collectively, this team generates around £1.1m each year — and there’s plenty of ambition to grow further.
As our Senior Community & Events Manager, you’ll be:
· Leading the strategy, delivery and growth of all community fundraising and events
· Owning budgets, forecasting and performance reporting, ensuring strong ROI
· Delivering high-quality, supporter-centred flagship events such as Starlight Walk, Men’s Walk, Light Up A Life and more
· Expanding community fundraising across groups, schools, workplaces and associations
· Overseeing challenge events and third-party fundraising activity
· Acting as a senior ambassador for the hospice internally and externally
· Line-managing, motivating and developing a passionate fundraising team
· Deputising for the Head of Relationship Fundraising and contributing to wider strategic planning
Occasional evenings and weekends will be required to support events throughout the year.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll be an experienced fundraising manager with a strong track record in community and/or events fundraising. You’re strategic, commercially minded (without losing sight of people), and confident working at senior level.
You’ll bring:
· Significant experience delivering successful community and/or events fundraising programmes
· Proven leadership and people management skills
· Strong financial acumen — budgets, forecasting and analysis
· Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
· Creativity, resilience and a passion for supporter experience
· A commitment to inclusive practice and our ASPIRE values
A full UK driving licence is essential, and experience innovating or developing new fundraising products is a real plus.

Fundraising & Events Officer
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
London (N5) - minimum of three days in the office (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday)

The Fundraising & Events Officer will help deliver a programme of successful fundraising and cultivation events, including the Charity's challenge events, annual golf day, comedy night, and dedicated industry dinners while providing excellent stewardship to supporters and partners. You'll also collaborate closely with the wider Fundraising Team to support various income streams, bringing creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to making each event as impactful as possible.
Reporting to the Corporate Partnership Manager, you will plan, organise and deliver events from conception through to evaluation. This will include managing event budgets, sourcing prizes, coordinating suppliers (including photographers and entertainers), liaising with invitees to maximise attendance, and working with the Head of Marketing to promote events across social media and event webpages. Alongside events delivery, you'll support corporate partnerships and volunteering, providing high-quality stewardship to corporate partners, attending and supporting corporate volunteering activity, and helping deliver Spread a Smile's volunteering programme during peak periods (particularly Christmas). You'll also assist with securing Gifts in Kind, especially seasonal or event-related items, and play an active role in supporting the organisation's culture and wider activities.
The successful candidate will bring proven experience of planning and executing successful events end-to-end, strong project management skills and attention to detail, and confidence juggling multiple deadlines. You'll be an excellent relationship-builder with strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging a wide range of stakeholders (donors, volunteers, staff, and suppliers). Most importantly, you'll enjoy working collaboratively as part of a small team, bringing great attention to detail and a passion for putting together great supporter experiences, alongside resilience and calm problem-solving when plans change.
