The fundraising team at Leeds Castle was established relatively recently, in January 2023, and is responsible for securing funds from trusts, foundations, public bodies and individuals. There is a vast ongoing cost to care for a 900-year-old Castle and Estate and they need to generate income above and beyond the successful visitor & hospitality businesses. The postholder will play a crucial role in delivering a funding strategy to support their new multi-million-pound project ‘safeguarding the Castle for the next 900 years’.
The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge and experience in trust and foundations fundraising, with a clear record of funding achievement. Working with the Head of Audience Development & Fundraising, you will drive forward their fundraising strategy, strengthen the trusts and foundations pipeline and apply for match funding opportunities. The successful candidate will be resilient and highly motivated, an excellent writer with a strong attention to detail. They will be a good researcher and relationship builder, keen to secure great financial results to support Leeds Castle’s ambitions.
The new fundraising department will focus on creating a fundraising strategy, setting up systems and processes, researching approaches and building their pipeline of funders almost from scratch. They have already had great success in securing funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, so need to expand and build their funding pipeline and look to engage new funders.
This is a hybrid role, that will require some attendance from their office in Leeds Castle in Kent. The salary will be £42k - £45k, depending on experience and flexible working conditions can be considered.

The Development Coordinator is a new role created to enable the Worthing Theatres & Museum Development team to raise crucial funds that will support the organisation in achieving its ambitious goals.
WTM has recently undergone a significant fundraising review and a new strategy is now in place. This strategy reflects the organisation’s need to increase fundraised income over the next 3 years (2024 - 2027) to meet its ambitious creative and capital plans to deliver on its mission to offer transformative creative experiences for the community of Worthing.
The postholder will work closely with the Head of Development and Development Manager to deliver the ambitious fundraising strategy for WTM. They will be responsible for raising funds of up to £10,000 per application from primarily Trusts and Foundations and some local corporate partners, and supporting the team with operational tasks including financial processes, events and communications.
Main Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
Fundraising and Relationship Management
● Manage relationships with Trust and Foundation funders giving up to £10,000 per year including ongoing donor stewardship, reporting writing, crediting etc.
● Secure new income by applying for grants and funding of up to £10,000 to support a range of WTM projects from Trust and Foundations and from local businesses including researching trusts and businesses, identifying suitable projects within the WTM portfolio to apply for, writing bids etc.
Development Operations and Support
● Lead on supporter crediting for the department ensuring that all supporters are acknowledged in relevant digital and print materials across the year.
● Act as day-to-day point of contact for the Development team’s use of the Spektrix database ensuring best practice.

About the role
The Community Programme Manager will bring their own experience and knowledge of outstanding community programming to build on and expand the current programme. The Community Programme Manager will manage partnerships with key stakeholders and develop new relationships with a variety of partners, from cultural institutions to new care settings.
The Community Programme Manager is a pivotal position within the small, dedicated and growing Art Explora team in the UK. The Community Programme Manager will be supported by a Community Programme Assistant and the volunteer community. We are looking for a candidate with management experience.
To achieve this, the chosen candidate will not only have a passion for arts outreach and engagement, but will also have a proven track record in project management, managing volunteers, excellent organisation and communications skills, and be experienced in building relationships at all levels – with community organisations such as care homes, volunteers, local authorities, content and delivery partners, senior stakeholders, collaborators and supporters.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Management

Manage Art Explora UK’s volunteer community including training and social events.

Manage all volunteer administration including volunteer handbook, project coordination and DBS checks.

Manage the volunteer journey, from expression of interest to attending programme sessions.

Ensure the volunteer programme meets the highest standards of good practice.

Manage the volunteer database and management software

Lead and develop current Community Programme streams

Develop strategy for expanding and developing the Community Programme across the UK

Conduct research, evaluation and consultation, as needed

Person Specification
Essential skills and experience
-
At least 5 years’ experience delivering arts and cultural outreach programmes, for example within an education and engagement team for an arts organisation, or working directly with community organisations or within the care sector

Proven experience of volunteer management including recruitment, training, logistics and personnel management

A good knowledge of arts engagement practice in the UK and leading organisations in this field

A proven track record of budget management and event coordination

Some experience of fundraising from public sector, trusts and foundations
-
A confident communicator (oral and writing), with an enthusiasm for building creative partnerships and capable of working with a wide range of senior stakeholders and partners

A good knowledge of cultural policies and current cultural engagement landscape

Experience of implementing EDI policies and good practice, with passion for driving EDI related change in the arts and cultural sector

Who are we?
Art Fund is the UK’s national fundraising charity for art. We give grants to help museums, galleries, historic houses and public arts organisations to acquire objects for their collections, to share them with as many people as possible, and to support research and training for museum professionals. We are supported by our growing membership of 135,000 through the National Art Pass, as well as the generosity of many individuals, trusts and foundations.
The role
As a key member of the National Art Pass marketing team, you will help develop and deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns that drive awareness, consideration, and conversion among the UK's diverse culture-seeking audiences.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in executing marketing programs across earned, owned, and paid channels, including fostering effective partnerships with other brands. Your role will involve managing creative and media agencies to ensure that all marketing activities are delivered on-time, on-brand, and within budget. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an impact in support of Art Fund's charitable mission as part of the membership team.
