Main Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver a new Partners development strategy to secure significant gifts from individuals.

• Identify, cultivate and secure relationships to deliver maximum long-term impact and income through effective personal relationship management of major Partners.

• Develop strong and enduring relationships with current and potential major Partners.

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to create compelling, relevant and tailored funding proposals.

• Work with the Head of International Programme to design and develop a targeted contact strategy.

• Support the development of a range of events/campaigns with the wider UKIM teams to provide opportunities.

• Develop and maintain adequate major Partners records.

• Market UKIM Relief’s projects and products to new and existing partners whilst maintaining partner loyalty through special partner services. 

• Work efficiently towards the continuous enlargement of UKIM Relief’s partner database.

• Assist in coordinating in Partner Services to ensure data integrity, quality control, and database requirements.

• Ensure that all partner information and reports are of the highest quality and are submitted (if required) in a timely fashion.

• To be up-to-date with all new projects, proposals and potential appeals. 

• Ensure that all partners receive a courteous, helpful and professional service at all times.

• Effectively attract and retain partners by liaising with them on a daily basis. 

• Accurately record, process and keep all enquires and financial transactions confidential. 

• Maintain and assist the Manager to develop an effective administrative systems in order to achieve maximum efficiency across the department.

• Maintain and produce professional documents to the required standard and use ICT to enter, collate and present data.

• Assist the Communications/Fundraising Manager in regularly producing reports for the General Manager, Chair and Committee Members. 

• Handle and respond to partner queries, complaints either over the phone, in writing or by email and communicate to the Communications/Fundraising Manager for appropriate advice on sensitive issues.

• Develop and sustain the mutual understanding between UKIM Relief’s and the public.

• To complement the work of the Communications team in producing different types of media to project the work of UKIM Relief to long-terms partners. 

• Ensure duties are performed in line with the Data Protection Act, Confidentiality Regulations, Government legislation and UKIM Relief Policies.

• Ensure information flow is managed and easily accessible to allow the team to provide all partners with any personal information requested.

• Ensure the processing of daily mail, data entry and major partner gift acknowledgements are done efficiently.

• Comply with all policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements.

• Hold a valid passport and be willing and able to travel extensively, at short notice and under conditions of physical hardship.

Person Specification:

• Experience of major partner fundraising.

• Strong knowledge of, and successful track record in, delivering significant new income through personal approaches to major partner prospects.

• Proven track record of personally soliciting high value gifts from major partners and of developing long-term relationships.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently with senior colleagues, stakeholders and partners

• Excellent networking, negotiation and influencing skills.

• Excellent written and verbal skills.

• IT literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office and database systems.

• Experience of arranging events and of stewarding high-profile meetings with senior colleagues, stakeholders and partners.

• Understanding and familiarity of Data Protection, Health and Safety and Gift Aid.

• Educated to degree level or possess a relevant qualification or appropriate experience in a directly related post.

• A good understanding of brand management, marketing and PR.

• Familiarity with the Institute of Fundraising Codes of Practice.

• Numerate with the ability to develop and manage detailed income and expenditure budgets.

• Professional fundraising qualification. 

• Experience in using a CRM database

We are offering this unique opportunity to support the Methodist Church in delivering its strategic plan to make the best use of its property portfolio in local communities across the country.

Working alongside the Director and colleagues within the Property Support team, you will be a crucial team member providing professional guidance and support to Trustees nationally.  Focussing on the unique skills you bring to the team, you will help guide them on matters including the planning, development and commercial potential for their property assets to enable them to make informed choices and contribute to the promotion and delivery of the Methodist Church’s property strategy.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Operations Lead who will ensure the smooth running of CCX day-to-day operations. As lead of the Operations Team, you will oversee the finance, HR, coordination of data, IT applications and integration, and corporate governance functions.

The Gregory Centre for Church Multiplication (CCX) helps the Church make disciples in new and renewed ways. We work with willing partners across the Church to catalyse multiplication, equipping leaders through adaptive learning pathways.

We are an agile missional centre, on the edge of the institution. Our team seeks to be audacious, holding a God-shaped ambition; generous; and committed to working together.

CCX’s organisational structure is a hybrid management model, blending elements of both functional and project-based structures. Project teams are formed to address specific initiatives, tasks, or delivery projects. These teams are cross-functional, comprising individuals from different specialties, typically with a project manager working under the direction of a CCX lead. The two core teams of Operations and Media operate as shared services across the organisation.

Under the direction of the Bishop of Islington, a suffragan bishop of the London Diocese, CCX supports church planting and church growth work in London, nationally and beyond.

Collaboration and partnership will be key features of this role, working closely with the Bishop, Chief of Staff, and Team Leads. This role has a strong focus on agile and efficient systems development and improvement, resource optimisation and stakeholder engagement.

They are expected to perform duties with a high degree of independence, initiative, and judgement, including knowing when to resolve issues and challenges directly and when to escalate.

Key Duties and Accountabilities include:

● Ensure the deliverables of the CCX Operations Team are met in accordance with organizational goals and objectives.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the production cycle from enquiry to delivery and invoicing, in a well-organised and seamless process, and for finding solutions quickly, should issues arise.

You will manage and grow customer accounts for Bible production while providing exceptional service to all stakeholders around the world, which may involve international travel.

Main responsibilities include:

· Manage turnover and associated margins on Bibles and New Testaments for the organisation and other agencies around the world. This has traditionally been in the region of £2 million and has the potential to grow

· Manage all aspects of the production cycle from enquiry, to creating product specification, supplying price and managing production, through to delivery and supplying invoice

· Ensure that all relevant processes are carried out, in particular checking and assessing credit­ worthiness of clients

· Calculate and report on appropriate royalties for designated customer accounts

· Ensure that all materials sent to suppliers meet appropriate technical standards

· Support the stock needs using supply chain methodology

· Ensure that print materials supplied are correctly licensed for the specified purpose, and that IP and copyright agreements are adhered to and protected

· Ensure all products are consistent with and conform to requirements and the Royal Charter

You will be organised, accurate and high-performing, good at detail, with an ability to connect well with clients and inspire them with confidence in you. RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will collaborate with the trustees, who also contribute to tasks linked with Big Green Heart's development. 

• You will manage the budgeting and financial planning processes, working closely with the Treasurer.

• You will be trained as a Big Green Heart facilitator with an expectation that you may be needed to facilitate a workshop during your time at the organisation.

• You will participate in professional and networking events related to Big Green Heart’s field of intervention.

We're currently hiring for the role of Data and Interventions Manager. This will sit within the newly formed Development Team, which will lead on fundraising and supporter relations, and help ensure excellent use of data across the organisation.

This is an exciting time to join the team, and to have significant impact across the breadth of CARE’s work. As Data and Interventions Manager you will be responsible for the provision of data and user support for all fundraising activities by ensuring that the data on the database is useable, consistent and accurate.

The successful candidate will play a vital part in making sure CARE’s data and database are managed effectively and run smoothly, including managing the development and improvement of our CRM where necessary. The position is full time and based in our London office.

The role of the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships is to work alongside the Director of Operations in developing the day-to-day sustainable income strategy to fund the New Wine Trust's day-to-day operations.

Partnerships

· You will be responsible for developing our relationship with key ministry partners. This includes negotiating contracts with sponsors, partners, and delivery partners. It will include but not be limited to:

o Developing Event Sponsorship and Exhibitor offerings at New Wine Events

o Growing Annual Partnerships with key partners

Fundraising

· In partnership with the Director of Operations, National Leadership and Trustees, you will also be responsible for creating and delivering a New Wine Fundraising Strategy. This will include:

o Working alongside the Marketing and Communications team to develop supporter engagement communications.

o Developing plans that feed into the New Wine Fundraising strategy to increase engagement from high net-worth individuals and cultivate new high-value donors.

o To manage the major donor income and expenditure budgets, ensuring all activity meets income targets.

o Championing the use of our CRM for supporter engagement.

o Reviewing, writing and submitting proposals for grant applications.

o Overseeing the delivery of the charity’s fundraising events.

Business Development

· Identifying new revenue generation opportunities, such as

o New Wine Online

o New Wine Resources (Books, Music and Merch Sales)

o Cafes and Concessions at Events

 Role Particulars

Working Pattern: Full time working hours, including weekly in-person team meetings in London: monthly all-staff meetings on Tuesdays twice a month, and weekly on Wednesdays twice a month.  The nature of this role means that some travel and working away from home will be required, as agreed in advance.  Specifically, the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships must be available for the annual leadership conference and some or all of the New Wine annual summer festival (on-site or remote support). 

Places of work: This role is eligible for hybrid and flexible working, with a minimum of 1 day in the London office a week.

Supervision: The post holder will receive regular supervision from their line manager. 

Role review: There is a three-month probationary period for this role.  The post holder will then receive a quarterly rolling review of performance, the role, job description, terms and package.

Key Responsibilities
 

Strategy Development and Implementation

• Leading the organisation through the iterative development and implementation of strategic projects to serve the ambition of Resurgo, to “inspire and equip organisations to deliver ambitious and sustainable social change”
• Provide direction and support to Heads of Department, setting them up to succeed in the implementation of ambitious plans
• Line management of the Strategy Managaer, who project manages and drives the delivery of annual departmental targets and strategic projects across the organisation.

Finance

• Line management of Head of Finance, providing strategic leadership in the development of the finance function and oversight of organisational financial management

Head of Property
Canterbury, Kent

The Head of Property is a crucial and pivotal role at the Diocese, as you will lead the strategic management of the Diocese’s assets, taking responsibility for maximising income and capital returns from assets, including property development on investment land and buildings.

Reporting to the Diocesan Secretary, you will oversee the management of the Diocese’s housing and the Glebe estate. You will ensure good quality clergy accommodation through strategic maintenance and planned enhancements, along with the sale, purchase and development of housing stock and glebe land as required.

Managing the Property Services Team, which oversees the management of all clergy and other housing within the Diocese, you will ensure maintenance and improvements are performed within agreed timeframes and budgets and provide an excellent and friendly service to clergy and their household. In addition, you will ensure maximised rental income from vacant housing and glebe land which is a key income stream for the Diocese.

As Head of Property, you will offer support to parishes and protect their interests by advising on decision making regarding their buildings, with a particular focus on enhancing utilisation and value, especially for church halls. You will also represent, protect and advance the interests of PCCs, Incumbents and Churchwardens, by partnering with them to provide high-level advice to parishes on the effective management of property matters, particularly in cases where the Diocese acts as custodian trustee on their behalf.

As a key member of the Diocesan Office and Senior Management Team (SMT), Diocesan Finance & Assets Committee, Diocesan Advisory Committee and Property Advisory Group, you will manage the property budget, taking part in budget reviews and budget setting in partnership with the Director of Finance and Finance & Assets Committee.

Professionally qualified with a relevant qualification and with significant demonstrable post qualification experience in a similar role, perhaps as a surveyor, you should have proven leadership experience with a focus on strategic property development and resource planning.

With experience of working in the property sector, ideally in asset management, residential property management and landlord and tenant relations, you should have a track record of driving maximum return from property and/or land assets, including experience of property disposals and purchases. Able to maximise  income, you should also be adept at planning, managing and reviewing substantial budgets and exercising strict financial controls in a property environment.

Sympathetic to the overall Christian mission of the Church of England, including the Diocese’s schools, church communities and buildings, you should be prepared and able to travel regularly throughout the Diocese.

Previous experience with Charities or Not-for-Profit organisations is desirable but not essential.

The Housing and Land assets of the Diocese of Canterbury comprises operational and investment properties, almost all of which consist of ministry housing stock and a small amount of Glebe Land. Assets include circa 170 parsonage houses, the majority of which are occupied by clergy, establishing a unique relationship between the Diocese and church leaders. A minority of the stock (around 50 properties) which are intended for ministry but not currently used, generate substantial rental income. Notably, recent years have seen the move to ensure that we have the right properties in the right places for ministry as well as exploring development opportunities on existing properties that are due to be reviewed, sold or replaced.

We're looking for someone with experience of verging or similar church support work. Good social skills are essential as is the ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own inititiave.  The ability to work closely with and relate well to all Cathedral staff, ministry team, congregation, volunteers, visitors, and members of the general public will also be required. 

The two Assistant Vergers and Precinct Officers (AVPOs) carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of the Head Verger and Precinct Manager.  Work includes: the careful setting up and delivery of all liturgical matters; ensuring a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all working in, visiting, or using the Cathedral and Cathedral House and precinct and ensuring the day-to-day smooth running of the Cathedral for all.

Essential experience and skills

• Sympathy with the Christian faith.
• At least one year’s experience as a church or cathedral verger or in a similar role.
