About You
To fulfil this role, we are looking for an exceptional leader with a CIH Level 5 Diploma in Housing / an appropriate professional qualification.
You will have a diligent, proactive approach, forward-thinking and keen to develop opportunities for our services to make a positive impact to the communities we serve. You’ll demonstrate commercial acumen and business planning skills with the ability to think strategically and make critical decisions.
With a desire for building and maintaining strong relationships, you’ll naturally have a growth mindset and resilience, with a pragmatic and collaborative approach to challenges. What We Offer
Actual salary is £38,400 – 44,800 p.a. (pro rata) based on a 4-day week (28 hrs p.w.)

This role is based at our head office in Solihull, plus Agile / Homeworking. The role requires operational travel within the Solihull borough; therefore, the successful candidate will need a full driving licence.

About the role:
This hybrid role is based in Brighton & Hove with home-working and at least 1 day in the office, you will also need to travel within the local area to meet clients and attend meetings. As an IDVA you will:
- Support the empowerment of survivors by assisting them to recognising the features & dynamics of domestic abuse
- Hold a caseload, prioritising high risk cases & providing a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service
- Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments to provide individualized support plans, advocacy, practical support & information
- Participate in the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC)
- Use a person-centred, survivor-focused approach, being mindful of the effects of trauma & additional barriers to access that individuals may experience
- Work in partnership with both internal & external stakeholders to ensure that victims' & survivors' needs are met
- Assist in delivering training, and provide consultancy and advice to other agencies as required
You will need:

Age UK Lambeth provides a busy, in-demand helpline to all new callers to Lambeth Adult Social Care. The helpline provides a triage service, dealing with enquiries, providing individuals the opportunity to discuss their issues and be provided with advice, information and guidance and potentially signposted to a range of services to provide them with support. Where appropriate, referrals are made to ASC for an assessment.
Call operation times will be Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays.
The service works closely with Lambeth Adult Social Care and we have a base working alongside them at the Civic Centre in Brixton. Staff work hybridly, with the opportunity to work from home at least two days per week.

Purpose of the job
The main purpose of the job is to support with the delivery and development of the Challenge: ELBA programme which provides one-off, team based practical and social volunteering opportunities for member and non-member companies.
The programme is well established and the Challenge: ELBA team delivers circa 8,000 volunteers each year. The focus now is to reengage with companies that paused in-person volunteering due to COVID and to continue to develop virtual team opportunities. The project manager will be working with the team to take the programme to the next level by proactive marketing of team challenges, developing new materials, including social media presence; working with companies to “adopt” community organisations, and ensure as many challenge volunteers as possible convert to longer term business volunteers. There is also great potential to engage non-member companies and develop an income generation stream through providing team challenge opportunities.
The role is busy and demanding and Project Managers are expected to show great independence and initiative in delivering a busy programme of activities. The Project Managers will be working with the team to deliver our annual programme and targets as well as constantly developing new activities to help tackle social issues in the community.
Project Managers are the backbone of ELBA. You will be fully supported and trained and there is opportunity to advance quickly to Senior Project Manager after just 12 months in the role, subject to performance.

Main duties
- Identify and build relationships with a range of community stakeholders, including charities, community groups, social enterprises, education institutions, faith groups etc

The internship would be an opportunity for an individual to gain experience of working on projects to tackle illegal and unsustainable wildlife trade, with a focus on our Combating Wildlife Trafficking Activity project in the Caribbean.
This role provides an opportunity to enhance your quantitative and qualitative research skills by investigating online wildlife trade to support projects. You will be trained to conduct online market surveys and report findings for key reptile species in the Caribbean. You may also have the opportunity to learn about other wildlife trade data sources such as physical market surveys, literature reviews, interview data or CITES analysis to help research new and emerging issues.
There will be opportunities to learn from and network with Fauna & Flora’s wildlife trade project teams globally, to collate findings from market surveys across our projects. There will be a chance to engage with other NGOs working on the topic to understand best practice approaches to investigating online wildlife trade.
You will also have the opportunity to present back your findings and create communications outputs to promote our work through our internal platforms.
Skills gained would include quantitative and qualitative data analysis, reporting, presentation experience, communication skills and you would gain learning and exposure to many of our wildlife trade projects.
Note that this internship has been designed to create a professional development opportunity for people who are new to the conservation sector. Therefore, applicants should have less than two years’ paid or unpaid experience in the conservation sector (not including academic work).

They are seeking a part-time CFO to add expertise and oversight of their finance function to ensure financial sustainability. This role is a really interesting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to shape the finance function of a young, but growing organisation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies, and lead the development of financial projections and scenario planning to inform decision making.
- Lead the finance function, overseeing the day-to-day operations (cash, accounts payable, accounts receivables and payroll) and ensure compliance with accounting and financial reporting standards, as well as legal and regulatory requirements for Kenya and the USA
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency
- Oversee the preparation of budgets, financial statements, and other financial reports
- Develop and manage the organization's risk management
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of young professionals
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with at least 5 years of relevant experience, and willing to be hands on.
- Strong technical accounting experience covering financial accounting, management accounting, budget creation and monitoring, financial analysis, and reporting, preferably within a not for profit.
- Experience of working in a start-up or of establishing a finance function is strongly desirable.
- Experience of leading a finance function, including providing financial analysis & insight and strategic advice to aid decision making.

Our partner is a leading environmental organisation with impactful programmes in PNG. They are seeking a Finance Director to oversee the finance function; provide strategic analysis and advisory support; and to lead through succession planning and capacity strengthening within the country office.
Responsibilities
- Financial oversight of the programme – this includes ensuring that there is a strong control environment across the HQ and regional offices, that policies and guidelines are properly understood and implemented, properly manage and account for income, and monitor banking, cash and cash advances and expenditure.
- Prepare and submit the annual accounts & statutory returns, ensuring that these are compliant with local laws and requirements.
- Financial management – creation and review of the organisational budget, oversee the monthly close and reconciliations, and prepare financial & KPI reports, and cashflow management.
- Grants compliance, management and reporting – supporting in budget creation for new grants proposals, monitoring expenditure versus grants income, ensuring that all project finance activities are compliant with grants requirements, providing financial oversight to sub-grantees, and preparing donor/grants reports.
- Undertaking due diligence on, and overseeing compliance and reporting from sub-grantees, supporting them with capacity building as required..
- Lead in the preparation of donor and other local audits, ensuring that the organisation is tax & legally compliant to the regulations in PNG.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks, safeguard the organisational asset.
- Coaching and building confidence and capacity of the local finance team.
Requirements
- A bachelors degree in accounting or finance; additionally an MBA or an accounting qualification is strongly preferred.
- Senior finance professional with at least five years of experience of leading the country finance function of a charity that is complex, both in terms of projects, but also portfolio of funding. Previous experience of working in a complex environment such as PNG is desirable.
- Willing to be hands on, alongside offering strategic advisory support.
- Strong technical accounting, financial management, reporting and grants compliance, management and reporting experience.
- Significant experience in the compliance and management of grants from institutional donors, including the US and European governments.
- Experience of developing a team, and building capacity of finance staff and staff in partner/sub-grantee organisations.
- Effective communicator.

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft SQL Developer to design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases that support our business applications and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL programming, and database performance optimisation.
Working alongside our solutions architect, you’ll be responsible for the development and management of our data import processes by managing and onboarding new data feeds through our bespoke ETL tool, the Message Broker. You’ll be focused on developing and translating business reasoning into data transformation. You’ll act as a key conduit between teams – ensuring new functionality is rolled out effectively to become business as usual. Find the best ways of importing and validating customer data, so we can build long term relationships with our customers and keep them coming back for more. This is role is currently seconded to the Technology Directorate, working on the delivery of the charity’s key IT systems such as the current migration from Raisers Edge 7 to Raisers Edge NXT CRM.

To be considered for this role, you will have knowledge and understanding of case management, person centred working, case work processes and compliance, as well as strong service user service experience, supporting individuals with multiple and complex support needs. You will also have experience using databases and case management systems including input and retrieval of data. They currently use 365 Dynamics system, so candidates with experience using this/and or similar are encouraged to apply.
