Main Areas of Responsibility
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that financial transactions are administered in the most efficient and effective way, with effective controls and processes in line with internal and external governance
- Monthly accounts preparation
- Ensuring that purchasing administration from point of order through to payment is administered in line with agreed Service Levels
- Ensuring all income is administered effectively in line with agreed Service Levels

The Finance Systems Analyst is a newly created role which will have responsibility for the efficient running and maintenance of ClientEarth’s finance systems, including Access Focal Point- which has been in use for over five years and Workday Adaptive Planning, a new system for the organisation. Karibuni Children, a UK registered charity, works to help Kenyan children from some of the poorest backgrounds, to fulfil their potential and release themselves from the cycle of poverty. At any one time, we are supporting around 700 children across Kenya and our aim is to walk with the children through their whole education. In addition to providing financial support to enable children to attend high-quality educational institutes, we work to reduce other barriers that may prevent those living below the poverty line from maximising their educational potential. This includes provision of nutritious school meals, school uniforms and shoes, learning equipment and feminine hygiene products. We also support initiatives focused on the empowerment of the wider family unit of each supported child, such as providing workshops on parenting skills, sustainable food production, nutrition, entrepreneurship, and business skills. To further support this, we work with our partners on infrastructure development projects which have the potential to transform the local community and deliver increased self-sufficiency and sustainability.
The charity is seeking to recruit a UK Operations Manager to support the programme of work. The successful candidate will be one of only two paid employees, working with the Trustees to lead the charity through the next phase of its development.
Job Description
Salary: up to £30,000 – 34,000 full time equivalent depending on experience.

This role is envisaged as permanent part time for 30 hours per week over a minimum of four days. Role purpose:

Fundraising

About this role
The role of the Finance and Payroll Manager is to support the Development and Finance teams to manage and report on restricted income, as well as to manage monthly in-house payroll under the guidance of the Head of Finance. This involves ensuring that we are maximising the use of restricted funding, and that money is spent in line with donors’ wishes and that staff are paid accurately and on time each month. The Finance and Payroll Manager will work within a small Finance team under the supervision of the Head of Finance. They will work closely with the Joint ED, wider Senior Management Team, Head of Development and budget holders throughout the organisation.
They will support the Head of Finance with annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting as well as with the production of the monthly management accounts. They will support the Development team in making grant applications and develop restricted grant budgets for newly secured grants for integration into the organisational budget; they will meet regularly with the Development team and budget holders to review restricted project spend. They will produce reports for funders working in conjunction with our Development Team and casework teams. The Finance and Payroll Manager will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement of the finance systems, processes and grant management tools to ensure they continue to be fit for purpose.
Contract and location
The role is a full-time, permanent position with an annual salary of £50,571 per annum less any required deductions for Income Tax and National Insurance.

Hybrid Working: Connexional Team staff based at Methodist Church House have a hybrid work pattern which is currently 2 days in the office, and 3 days remote.
The Vacancy
The role involves correctly accounting for all payments and income including legacies given to specific projects and district assessment ensuring that all sums due to the Church have been duly received and where necessary, banked intact and promptly and correctly accounted for.

The post-holder will oversee the management of Sightsavers Finance and Administration in the Cameroon Country Office. Reporting to the Country Director they are responsible for monitoring the country resource management and identifying risks or issues.
Key accountabilities but not limited to:
- Excellent financial management and risk mitigation through compliance with local regulations and adherence to the organisational Financial Framework
- Implementing financial management and controls; financial planning and budgeting; financial monitoring and audits
- Monitoring and retaining accurate financial records
- Leading support services for the country office through management of logistics and procurement of supplies
- Delivering/overseeing administrative functions, payroll; ensuring IT equipment functions effectively. All in line with organisational policies and procedures
- Working collaboratively with programme and finance teams to support and strengthen the financial management, accountability and capacity building of partners
- Supporting finance and programme teams with joint review of programme/project reports, planning and analysis
- Supporting proper financial and resource management of programmes

Essential skills and experience:
- Relevant professional accounting qualification or tertiary degree in Finance and Accounting (for example CPA/ ACCA/ MBA)
- Extensive workpro experience ideally gained within international development in a similar role. Experience of audit and government organisations also advantageous
- Proven work experience in financial management, programme/ project management and administration
- Strong project financial management, budget and data analysis
- Strong experience in grant management (for example EC, FCDO, Irish Aid or USAID)
- Excellent communication and organisation
- Fluent or strong written and spoken English
- Available to travel as and when required within Cameroon

Job Overview

Roles & Responsibilities:
· Due Diligence: Conduct full operational due diligence on potential offers to be listed on the platform. This includes KYC, legal entity checks and offer document review.
· Offer management: efficiently and effectively managing the end-to-end process of creating, reviewing, tracking offers. This includes administration of post-close payments and investor updates. Serve as the central point of contact for enquiries from both the issuing clients as well as investors.
